First year attending. My little one has nothing but great things to say. She enjoys each day and has progressed so quickly. Her teachers are super attentive. Helps that classes are small. With covid, it was difficult returning back to school, but happy to know she’s not falling behind during the most important years of her life. Covid protocol is excellent. Location is perfect. Direction and over school educational structure is amazing. Staff is excellent. Nothing but great things to say.

We interviewed for this school and they only accepted one of my kids. My child had miscommunication issue with another child in his previous school which I could have not even reported . Even our principal reached out to them explaining the situation but this school administration completely ignored it. This school only want to have angel kids in their school. They advertise as accepting of all backgrounds but I don’t agree with that, I think this is very biased school !

An archaic school that leaves your child academically behind. The entire administration is ran by ignorant parents. Thankfully, I left prior to starting 7th grade, or else I would not have been able to get into Marymount High School. As someone who is now on their second semester in graduate school, it disturbs me that this school still exists.

Our family moved from NYC to Los Angles last summer and Good Shepherd played a huge part in making this transition a smooth one for my daughters. The teachers and staff have been wonderful and the parents really care about the heart of the school! Happy to be apart of such a great community of people.

Good Shepherd Catholic School Beverly Hills (GSBH) part of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church located on Santa Monica Blvd in Beverly Hills. The school is located in a residential neighborhood where traffic is light and away from the hustle and bustle of Beverly Hills. The school offers a very cozy setting from grades pre-K through 8th grade. The classes are small and the number of students per class is around 15.This is the only school we have found that does the pledge of Allegiance every morning along with a bible reading and prayers. Also take note that if you dont care for the dumbing of America with common core math, GSBH uses a technique thats akin to Singapore math, an interested building blocks of sort in building on what a child learned. This technique enables greater comprehension, application and knowledge vs. simply memorizing answers.Religious studies and conservative values are not only taught, but practiced. While one would expect the Beverly Hills elite or celebrity children to dominate the student body, there is a good balance.GSBH is the only Catholic School in the well off neighborhoods of Los Angeles where a premium isnt added to the tuition if the family isnt a parishioner. In contrast, its cheaper to send a child to Good Shepherd Catholic School in Beverly Hills than to send the child to Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic School in Westwood.Fr. Ed, the pastor of the church visits the school often and is very involved with the Parrish and School. The principal, Mrs. Colvert is hands on and knows each child individually. The Vice Principal, Mrs. Widmann has been there for several decades, her children graduated from GSBH and now one of her kids (an adult) teaches there. Mrs. Widmann and Mrs. Colvert also takes a personal role in coaching students in preparing them for high school. GSBH is a feeder school to top Catholic high schools such as Loyola and Marymount. The school students also participate in civic activities such as feeding the homeless. They have annual field trips ranging from science camps in the mountains to Washington DC. Their summer programs include public speaking and debate. Their physical fitness program is based around what children of certain age like. They play soccer and basketball. While the Archdiocese doesnt have a Special Education program at the school for developmentally challenged students, the school does make accommodations for managed needs such as allergies, ailments, and extra time needs.

I attached a photo of the guy I call the Beverly Hills Mystery Man who one day showed up at Good Shepherd about a year ago, (& then made his presence known also at St Paul Westwood & St Timothy (Pico). He became a regular pulpit presence too, finding favor with the priests to read the first Scripture at mass. And I saw him at the BH library as well. The problem I have is that he seemed to be trying to establish dominance rather than Christian brotherhood. And he would even look at me in passing as if I was the new guy, when, in fact, he was the new guy. Ive been around here for many years. I dont know where he came from, but my 1st guess would be New York. It made me so uncomfortable after a while that I backed off from attending mass. Last time I was at Good Shepherd after being gone for a few months, there he was in his regular seat. I hope and PRAY for more of a fraternal relationship as we should have with fellow FOLLOWERS OF YESHUA (JESUS CHRIST) rather than a superior-inferior. I am not his inferior just because I dont read from the pulpit. None of us are superiors or inferiors at mass. And I have been a faithful attendee as well, & have the same amount of education as a priest (BA/BA/M.Div) but have devoted myself to being an independent Christian evangelist. God bless Good Shepherd church. We hope and pray for true brotherhood & sisterhood amongst the body of Christ.
