I reached out to BFC about obtaining my high performance and complex endorsements, since my local school didn’t have the aircraft for the endorsement. After talking with them, scheduling was a breeze. Jacob was my instructor and did a great job instructing me. I left there feeling to have gained a lot of knowledge. Jacob taught well and made it fun.

Absolutely a first class establishment. There is no better location in the state to get your flight training! They have it all: Up to date aircraft, flight simulator, clean facilities (Covid compliant), and some of the best instructors around!Seriously great people to work with. They are invested in your success and can help you get to your aviation goals! Training in busy airspace means it may take a bit longer, but you’ll learn so much more than if you were training at an uncontrolled field! Quality over quantity in all they do!

This is a top notch facility. The instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that students have the best experience possible. They teach one on one, instead of in groups, and do their utmost to work with the individual students schedule, even if that means coming in early, staying late, or coming in on the weekends. The planes are well-maintained, with a maintenance staff that work tirelessly to keep the planes in tiptop shape. They also have a testing facility, where students can take virtually any written exam required for aviation.

My discovery flight experience was one of the best moments of my life. The only slight problem was the wind, but that cant be controlled. 5 STARS!!😁

BFC is a great place to learn to fly and get valuable experience with controlled airspace. Top class, knowledgeable CFIs and awesome management staff. Would suggest BFC for anyone interested in flying-from the first time pilot to the advanced professional!

Something is seriously wrong with the organization of this school.I was paired with one who was licensed and certified to the teeth but spent little time going over what criteria we were going to go over every week/month/etc. The pricing was written out for students but it was confusing because it wasnt clear what was optional, could be found online for free, etc. and the instructor seemed very unconcerned about best practices to keep costs low.The phones seem to randomly not work sometimes and there was little way to contact them except e-mail, which was returned often days later. The second lesson we attempted to go up in the air in their Cessna 152 but it failed to start, which as a new student, put a poor impression on me about the maintenance of their aircraft. Also my own safety. After agreement on best times that would work between the instructor and myself I got a text after the second lesson indicating his availability would be limited and he suggested I try Over the Mountain Aviation. When I tried to get a refund, I received an e-mail (because the phones werent working) stating that since I gained knowledge that cannot be given back from ground lessons, they could not refund me, even though they did not have availability. But they indicated I could take my ground hours to any other school....Except I cant because when I started, they had no logbooks available for distribution.During the day, there seems to be little authority/management at the school that can solve these kind of disputes or resource problems and little is actually negotiable despite their marketing.Overall, my experience I felt like the school was really under-resourced and unprofessional. Perhaps this was a hit or miss but I suggest absolutely feeling the place out when you begin. Dont share financial information until you feel absolutely sure that you can be knowledgeable on the ground and secure in the air. As soon as you see the first red flag, look elsewhere.

Not sure what walter is referring to, but I have been flying here for a few months and the experience is exceptional. This is my third flight school and by far the best. Yes, instructor availability is limited, but thats every flight school due to pilot shortage. In regards to airworthiness of their planes, once again this is my third flight school and by far they have the most well maintained planes. Planes are not cars, they do break. A no start condition is not a major issue as all planes used for flight instruction must be checked every 100 hours, safety is a non issue here.Pricing is transparent. Ground instruction is unrefundable, you are paying for knowledge and yes that knowledge is transferrable as it does not have to be documented in your flight book, all you have to do is remember it. If you are crying because you were charged hourly for flight school you should rethink your PPL because it is not cheap.I fly with Greg who is very very busy yet he makes time to provide exceptional ground and flight instruction. Ive flown with about 6 cfis and his teaching methods are some of the best. He lets you fly so you learn, hes not control happy. If a company is having phone problems and they reach out to you via an alternate communication method, kudos to them. All their FIs have cards with their numbers on them and they are easy to contact. Additionally we have these things now called cars. They enable you to drive places such as flight school so you can ask questions directly. As a student of aviation it is your responsibility you come prepared for your flights with a rudimentary knowledge of what you need to work on. Additionally your first few flights focus on straight and level operation of the plane with basic manuaevers, not much of an outline there. Becoming a pilot is not easy and takes work outside of flying and flight school. Thats why we have a pilot shortage, people are into instant gratification. Aviation does not work that way.
