I attended a couple classes here quite a while ago. I choose to write this review now after realizing what an impact my poor experience has had on me. Ive been afraid to attend another class with Safeway because my brief time there was so distressing.This isnt to be dramatic, to demonize the instructor Brandon, or to steer away students less anxious and sensitive than myself. This is simply to warn those who might be upset by the environment the instructor tries to cultivate.This is not a comfortable class to attend. Mr. Young is loud, abrasive, and worst of all, a former cop. Although his teaching methods might work for many students, for me, it triggered my anxiety. And its not exactly easy to explain to the teacher that this is the reason why youre not getting work down, why you look like youre about to cry, when youre in a full classroom, and the teacher is a man unlikely to understand emotional appeal.So, if you suffer from anxiety or nervous disorders and cant learn effectively in a loud environment, if youre uncomfortable with long, rambling, gory anecdotes, or if you just dont want to take lessons from a man who proudly associates himself with the most corrupt institution in America, Id recommend you pick another location.Sidenote: In my experience, management has not been receptive to criticism. Maybe theyll prove me wrong.

Brandon is a great instructor. He is a retired police officer and provides real life circumstances. He uses humor to make it fun to learn. He has a way of motivating kids and gaining their respect. Highly recommended.

Mr. Young has a way of connecting with kids that is positively influential. My daughter looked forward to each night and came home sharing stories. So grateful!

My daughter has been taking classes and we have been very impressed. The instructor has a background in law enforcement and provides good insight.
