7/8/21 was orientation day. The staff was helpful, informative, welcoming and very kind. Ms Tonya is very uplifting, empowering, motivated, inspiring and enthusiastic. I start my class on 7/12/21 and I’m so excited to start this journey. I’m very glad I’m attending Empire Beauty School in Bloomfield, NJ. Here’s to the start of a new chapter in my life at age 54. I recently graduated From Empire Beauty School a few weeks ago and I already miss it. The teachers had Ms.Kirkland and Ms.Curry were outstanding educators. They were able to help me and guide me throughout my journey at Empire. The director Ms.Tonya is amazing shes always willing to listen and be understanding of the students. I think I am well prepared for the future. Thank you, Empire for molding me to become the best version of myself and a great cosmetologist.

I was ready to start school on 2/16/21 but I had a little obstacle and I found Ms. Johnson who works in the financial aid department she was very nice and patient with me . I had to create all types of passwords and account . It was worth it. I met the director who was all happy to see me. It was a long process but I said I had all day. I finally got enrolled for the 3/29/21 class because I didn’t have all of my documents. The students were all dressed in black and seem to enjoy their teacher. I’m excited to start. I don’t think any other school would have helped me the way they did.

So happy I went with this career choice with this exact location. I missed my appointment and Ms. Johnson got me in the same day at a later appointment. My biggest concern was financial aid. Ms. Johnson walked me through step by step with my financial aid which made the process so much easier for me. The campus is so beautiful, & Ms. Johnson’s attitude and vibe was so genuine & pure. 10/10 recommend 💞💞

I had Dèja as my admissions rep and she was SO helpful! She makes sure that you are ready and prepared before coming into the door. She made it her mission to ensure that I was able to have a seamless transition into class without feeling as if I was behind already. From the time I spoke with her up until today I have been excelling. I am so thankful to serve for the clients who allow us to learn and grow.

Deja was so knowledgeable in every step of the way. This is definitely her passion and you can tell. Dont know where Id be without this school. Recommend 10/10 to anyone. Thank you so much for everything!!

I currently attend empire it is a great school , I am so grateful that this school has some of the best teachers I’ve ever had , they make sure that we (the students) are well taught and well taken care of .

The teachers and director are what make this school a gem. I spent my time here for a short while. I was hesitant on transferring to this campus location, but since then, I’ve wished that I transferred here sooner. The teachers are extremely knowledgeable and are willing to take the time and teach you. This school will always have a place in my heart.

Going to this school has a horrible skin care program they don’t even have a skin program. If your looking to be a aesthetic don’t waste your time here they will waste your time! Don’t get Stuck like me with the lies they tell you! Look into a good skin care program that focuses more than just the basics because the only thing you learn at empire is hair. Oh and the teacher not all of them can’t teach or they don’t know how to control the class.

I have been here both pre and post Covid and I must say that this decision was definitely worth it. I love it here even though there where some bumps in the road due to Covid the staff and the students made it worth wild. And the teachers like (Ms Curry , Ms K and Ms Stepf) have definitely made my experience here a lot better when it came to having to learn post Covid. They where so detailed and determined that watch and every student where able to grasp the knowledge they needed in order to pass the module or go up to the next step, honestly with out them I don’t think I would be able to say that I’ll be graduating in June 😀 but I absolutely love it here and if your looking for just the right beauty school then empire beauty school in Bloomfield is the one for you

I transfered here mid pandemic, and it definitely was not easy but like everything else we got through it. The teachers go above and beyond making sure your ready for your exam, and have so much faith in you. The staff is always there to help Im so close to graduating and coming to this school I definitely learned things I wouldnt have in other school. Cant wait for the future

MS. NIA AT EMPIRE BEAUTY SCHOOL IN BLOOMFIELD, SHE’S THE ONE TO TALK TO & THIS LOCATION IS THE PLACE TO GOOOOO! I set my appointment online, came in, no wait whatsoever - she was already waiting for me at the door for my temperature check. Speaking with Ms. Nia today for my greeting for my tour and she explained everything A to Z, from the COVID-19 procedure and guidelines throughout the course and salon, payment options (financial aid is available which I am definitely looking forward to), a full tour of the locations from the school to the salon. If you’re looking into Beauty School go and talk to Ms. Nia, I really am in awe of what can be accomplished here. She breaks down the entire program structure and all of your questions are answered before you can even ask anything. I don’t know what I was walking into, but I’m leaving with a new career choice. Can’t wait to start this journey! I’m so excited.

This school might have its own pros and cons but overall they try their best for satisfaction from the students and clients everyday day.

The students are good at doing hair. But once they start that arguing & fighting you get real uncomfortable LOL

I came early on a Friday morning, the best time. Service was great. Wash condition and blow dry. Talented student listened to my natural hair needs and did a really good job.

First few times I went there was okay.Then the last time I went there, a student did a horrible job. I had ask for a twist and I. Had blueish color stuff all over my hair. I thought it would fade but it never did. I washed my hair and never went back since then. It was that one student.

I will not come here again. I was in there for two hours for one haircut that came out like garbage. I ask for a fade and this guy is talking about how he won’t mess me up and he will do a great job, but he did an absolutely terrible job and another guy came over to do it better but he wasn’t doing anything and had no idea what he was doing. The two men then started arguing. I had to go for personal reasons and they kept saying “Five more minutes, five more minutes” but it took them forever to hurry up. After they were done I looked like a middle aged man. More like Moe from the Three Stooges. Next time I get a haircut, I won’t be going over there

Having such a Wonderful experience with Ms.Maritza as my Educator thus far have learned so much also with my amazing classmates ! A big thanks to Mr. Cook for caring enough to get me back to School after my operation which caused some side effects & cared enough to call me over the past yr to see how I was feeling ! Ive been here a few time nd Tamar was who style my hair and the experience was great and then I bought in my kids and all four of them loved the experience .Remind you my kids are 5,8,9,10 three girl one boy he loved his hair cut wish I knew where he works at cause he has a forever customer but no one is there any more

I got a perm here before and they clearly didnt know what they were doing, student and instructor. They let me leave with the product in my hair and told me to wash it the next day. The next day when I washed it off I was petrified to see all of my beautiful, full hair falling off. I had to chop off all my hair and had to get a boy cut. The stylist I went to said whoever did this did not have a clue as to what they were doing and she was wouldnt be surprised if they bought their license. Now after almost 4 years all my hair is back, but Im kinda bummed because everyone I have talked to about the incident said I should have sued them.

Hi im a student that im almost graduating in a few weeks im so proud of my profesionalism and behavior im proud i have pass my test tanks to the help of all of my teaches who daily work hard to bring us ways to learn more everyday and my experience in the salon floor is being so rich of diferents cultures its true we see somethimes a few students that like to be more expressed than others but in the beauty industry we all have something to share so if u choose to go in a school dont do it because they have cheap prices in the board help others to make their dreams come true given experience and thanks for support us with your amability to let us practice on your hair att proud student of empire beauty school in bloomfield

Went this evening for a hair cut. Natale did a wonderful job, I have long wavy/curly hair and asked for 3-4 inches to be cut off and medium/long layers to be put in. Im very pleased with the cut.

I went there for a perm. The last time I had a perm there I was pleased. I dont know what happened this time. THe girl was nice, but the whole time she was doing the perm she was complaining about the smell of the chemicals. I got the worst perm Ive ever had in my life. First off, they didnt cut the dead ends of my hair. My hair never really took to the perm. Secondly, the one picture they have of the place on the website dosent do it justice. In that picture the ugly styling stands are covered with pretty blue tablecloths. The dolls are neatly placed in one area. When I went things were flung everywhere. The dolls in the picture looked so nice. Not the dolls I saw the day that I got my hair permed. That should have been the first reason I ran back out the door. People were working on their own hair while working on clients hair. When I was getting my hair permed someone made a comment about a jerri curl or something like this. My stylist kep bumping into the people around her. Then they left the solution in to long and damaged my hair. The perm didnt take. You think when they saw my hair they would have offered my money back. Not so, I left a $9 tip for the girl and I think I am going to have to get all my hair cut off to let this perm grow out.

I have used this school for years, you have to remember it is a school. Ive had a few mistakes made, but Ive had some really good service 99% of the time, and I have and will recommend it to my freinds.

Cant really come in the evening because they dont have enough staff.
