I really appreciate the work and dedication that Mrs.Shah and her staff has towards the students. My son (age 6) has been attending the different Kumon center for over 9 months and to tell the truth I was really disappointed with the Kumon program as I did not see ANY progress, until I decided to transfer him to Bloomingdale location. As of now, I see such a huge jump in his reading skills. And it has been just a little bit over a month, but his reading got so much better. We do both reading and math and my son loves it. Mrs.Shah is very professional. Her assistants and doing a great job with the kids as well. I would definitely recommend the Bloomingdale Kumon. The most important thing is that Mrs.Shah is always there to help and she takes the feedback and works with each child individually based on the needs.

We are so lucky to find Bloomingdale Kumon and Mrs. Urvi Shah as our kids instructor.Mrs. Shah as an instructor, a teacher or as a mentor is very dedicated and helpful. Even if it is not the Kumon day, and if kids are having some problem in Math or English , she will make sure that her student understands the concepts on the same day. She is always there to help them.We are grateful to their staff as they are very attentive and always their to help us.Our kids are attending Kumon for 3 years now and helped them to understand the concepts by themselves and in their growth.

My son is a student of Kumon Bloomingdale, IL for the past 3 years in the Reading and Math programs. When we first started Kumon for him, my son was a bit reluctant to complete his homework assignments. Now, it is part of his daily routine – with occasional negotiations. I have seen a steady improvement in his Reading and Math capabilities. I wish to thank Mrs. Urvi Shah and her staff (Mrs. M., Mrs. K., et. al.) for their support and the steadfastness of spirit that it takes to teach the little ones. Therefore, I highly recommend this center to anyone in this neighborhood.

The instructor( Mrs.Shah) is very helpful and friendly. She works with your schedule and she is very flexible with the kids.

As a current employee at kumon Bloomingdale and Addison, I would like to note that kumon is an excellent program to enhance students Math and Reading, and to develop self-learning from a young age. The instructor, Mrs Shah, and all the staff members give their best to increase students knowledge and confidence to perform well in life. Mrs Shah carefully analyzes every students work each day, and helps them to earn their best grade at a designated time frame. Working at kumon is a great platform to share knowledge and gain confidence. Watching students at kumon in their journey of success motivates me at work the most.

I want to acknowledge the hard workers at Bloomingdale Kumon. I’ve been with the kumon program at Bloomingdale for 10 years with my kids, and I would like to say that this specific program has helped my children to finish their work time, persevere, work hard, and work on responsibility. Not only has Kumon helped in an education area, but in ever aspect of their life. The work is hard sometimes, but when I think back, at those times they have learned a lot, and helped improve their work in school. As a student of Kumon Math and reading center, I really appreciate all the hard work of all the staff members to get me at this point. I have attended Kumon for about 8 years, and all these 8 years, Kumon has helped me with school. My brother also attends Kumon, and he has gotten very good grades at school. My sister, was a former student and instructer at kumon, and it has helped her a lot through her school, now even when she is in College it helps her a bunch. I have attended this Kumon center and have finished the math program. From my experience, Kumon was tough. It challenged my ability to think and solve independently and as fast and accurate as I could. However that was what drove me to continue through the program and finish through. At the end of the program, I was so glad I was done, but I already experienced a major growth in my math skills in middle and high school. I found all my Math class to be easy and fun, because I had learned most of the concepts early on, through Kumon. That is what Kumon did for me. It helped me push myself to go above and beyond and to learn higher levels of math, making my high school career much easier and allowing me to worry less about basic subjects. It allowed me to look further into my future and helped me understand what I wanted to do after college.

My son is attending Bloomingdale Kumon since almost 2 years now. He started with reading only, but then after 6 months or so, he also started math too. Now he is doing both reading and math and he is doing great. All instructors are doing very good job. My son is also doing great in school because everything he is learning at Kumon is helping him in school and that boosts his confidence level. All staff members are very friendly. I get monthly newsletters from Bloomingdale Kumon that keeps me updated. I meet regularly with my sons instructor and Ms Shah and we discuss how my son is doing and what else can be done to make him better at reading/math. Bloomingdale Kumon and their staff are really good at what they are doing - teaching kids reading/math. They are simply the best.I highly recommend Bloomingdale Kumon. 5 out of 5 stars.

We joined Kumon after being disappointed in the level of education provided by my sons school. It was refreshing to meet Mrs. Shah she shared my academic values and had a clear understanding of what was necessary for future academic sucess. She outlined a program for my son with definate goals. In the first weeks my son breezed through the initial packets and eventually completed two grade levels above his current grade. I feel my sons time at Kumon has given him the confidence to tackle any academic goals he may have in the future.

I am an Instructor of a Bloomingdale Kumon: This is the response to a previous posting.I am sorry that you, your child or someone else you may know had a rough experience at our center. One of the philosophies behind Kumon program is to foster independence in our students to give them the life learning skill. Our Kumon program is a very well structured program that leads our students from one concept to another in a very structured manner. The initial starting point gives them the very comfortable starts where they fill up any gaps and strengthen the foundation; giving them a point to become an independent learner, which they need as they move on with in the program or even in school. Our program gives them the examples to start and to make them understand the new concepts. As an Instructor, I am always there to mentor and giving them a thinking process on how to get the answer rather than giving them the answer. By providing more help then they need, will make them dependent on someone each time they expose to the new concepts in Kumon or at school. By sitting with them all the time will not solve the problem but create more as they go further in the school or in Kumon. It was very well explained during the time of orientation. We also concentrate on speed, accuracy, attention span and having a good learning environment at the center. As an Instructor, I am very much concern regarding my students’ state of mind. I only become firmer if I see a student is disturbing others, not following the direction or disobey others. In my 10 years of career as an Instructor, I may have isolated a student or two if they are disturbing others and not allowing them to do their work. Mrs. Shah does not help anyone, yelled at my kids and made them stay until they got work finished.

Both my kids go to Bloomingdale, Kumon for about 5 years now. The instructors are wonderful especially Urvi Shah. They are always accommodating the kids needs. It has taught my kids to be disciplined in everyday life.

Its been a tremendous help in shaping my childrens academic achievements .I would highly recommend to all parents looking into shaping up their childs academic path.Mrs Shah (URVI) & the staff are very attentive to a childs requirements.

FIND A DIFFERENT CENTER ASAP! They dont even help or teach the children. They scream and make the kids cry and make the children do it on its on. The instructor is on her phone most of the times and very rude. Never seen her sit down with a child and actually explain them something. When a child is having a difficult time or not working in a fast pace she tells THREATENS them and says shell give them more pages or make them sit on the floor. (Witness:My child) PLEASE DONT BRING YOUR KIDS TO SUFFER!

My Daughter has been going to Bloomingdale Kumon for over 2 years now. Iam really satisfied with the progress that she made at Kumon and the foundation that she got over there. She is ahead of everyone in the regular school. The most important thing I like in the center is the dedication and commitment of the teachers(Ms Shah and Ms Mehta). They explain the concepts in the easiest way possible.Ms Shah arranges for one on one with us parents, during that she takes the feedback from us and discusses the areas that needs improvement.Im very satisfied with my first child so planning to enroll my younger one too in few months.All in all, it is one of the best things that I could give to my child. A good education. A good teacher.

The center is great for all chirldren to learn the correct way and in a timing manner.My daugher is a 6th grader loving Kumon for the attention and the great progress sheachieved on Math and reading. All my friends from the church send their kids to Kumon has the majority of the kids has been on the honoroll at school and been satisfied with all of thier support from thier parents. I will continue to send my daughter to Kumon EVERY month so she can get the best education that she needs.The director is a mom too and she understands all the needs our kids have to succeed at school.
