Adults - its never too late!!I just started lessons with Victoria (French Horn). She is a pure delight. Friendly, helpful, great listener, patient. If youre thinking that music lessons ended with your youth, think again. Even if its just playing for pleasure, its good to learn the right skills and these are the folks who can guide you down the proper (and affordable) path. High Recommend!

Gil is an amazing person and an incredible teacher. He is unique because of his mutual learning philosophy; while teaching an instrument, he is also learning how he can be an even better teacher. Our son spent 5+ years with Gil in guitar lessons and loved every moment. As a parent I felt incredibly lucky that we found someone who was a perfect match for our son, and I have heard a number of people share the same sentiment. Our family is so thrilled about Hip Cat opening and offering such a variety of instrument & voice lessons to our community, and its fantastic that local college students are getting teaching experience in such a unique school where quality and a love of learning go hand in hand.

I have watched Hip Cat Music School evolve from an idea to an active learning center in just a couple of months. Gil has hired talented college students to teach a wide variety of instruments, as well as voice lessons. The teachers are eager and enthusiastic and know the importance of making lessons fun.Located in downtown Bloomington, parents are finding that they can steal a quick date at one of the local restaurants or take the kids out for ice cream afterwards.
