I feel like they should mention the advancement for karate there. This was years when my parents too me to this place. It seemed like a class where anyone of different levels could just come in, and learn the same stuff as the others. They shouldve mentioned this stuff to my oblivious parents who thought I wouldve gotten far with this, and tell them this class is like an exercise. Since we only learned the same stuff every year, and I feel as though I could not make any improvements, especially when you have already memorized the form from the year before. At the time it was called Karate for Kids, so I guess it would make sense for the learning to be for lower ages.I still feel mad since whenever I messed up, I got would get scolded for a simple mistake. I was a kid with ADHD, that I did not even know about. I struggled with paying attention when I needed to, but I still followed along. When I said a move wrong, she would guilt trip me and say now were going to take a longer time to continue and make it easier.I feel as though I shouldnt be responsible for the class taking longer to learn as I made a little error, resulting in me feeling fear everytime I went to class. My experience was just affected by a single teacher, not multiple.

My 2 sons have been in the intro class for ages 4-6 the past 6 weeks. The instructors were very patient and fun, yet still expected a high standard and corrected children when needed. My younger son especially struggled the first few classes but they just kept correcting him and even though he first told me he didnt want to go back because I just wanted to fight not follow rules he ended up loving it. My older son absolutely loved it the whole time and wants to do it forever. While we are taking a break after the trial classes, we absolutely will be back. Thank you for pouring into these kiddos and pushing them to do their best!

At my sons second class he got hurt and ended up breaking his toe. He told the teacher he hurt his toe and she said you got 9 more right? He had to continue practice, standing and kicking all on a broken toe. By the end of class he was in excruciating pain. Took him to the hospital to confirm and yes it was broken. The next day I talked to the owner about all of this how he got hurt, broke his toe, and what the teacher had said and he didnt acknowledge of it. I asked for a refund since hes not going to be able to do anything for the next 4 to 6 weeks and he did refund me but still didnt say Im sorry your son got hurt or Im sorry the teacher said that or anything. Definitely do not recommend.

Im writing a good review because this place has one star and the reason is that a lady left a bad review she said that her childs toe got hurt and that happens in martial arts if you kick wrong and from kicking with my toe it hurts and helping little kids they complain about their toe all the time but its rarely serious so the instructor probably thought it was nothing and laughed it off
