Really a blessing getting my daughter enrolled in this school. She went out of state to VA due to her daycare being in VA but was not able to attend this year so we enrolled in Memorial. After having such a horrendous experience with her school last year in VA we were both worried, plus having to get use to an all new school is a scary obstacle for a 7 year old, plus starting class a week late. Well here it is several months later and my daughter absolutely loves her teacher and has so since day 1. Her attitude about going to school, and school in general has completely changed to the point shes excited to go to school and even says she loves her teacher. Shes even upset when she has a substitute and constantly asks when her regular teacher will be back. Can not thank her teacher enough for making this transition so easy and also changing my daughters outlook on school to where she will understand the importance of education and willingly and excitedly pursue it. If all the school staff was like Mrs. Smith (unfortunately its not) I would give 5 stars and see a better future for all students. Hopefully as parents our input and concerns will be heard and changes will continuously be made.
