This is the best school ever. I learned so many different techniques from America and Europe, no other school will teach you so much. The Cosmetology and barber teachers are amazing especially Betty who taught me so much. I was also able to learn both Cosmetology and barbering. I got an amazing job, the owner of the salon couldnt believe that I just got out of school. He said that my techniques were even better then hair stylists of 5 years.Thank you International Hair and Barber Academy.

As a student I am absolutely grateful to be part of this school. Teachers are very professional and patient. Betty’s color class is amazing. It Opened my mind.I graduated beauty school in my country many years ago, and I thought I know everything about coloristic )) But Betty’s class took me on a different level!!!

I attended this school last year. Betty and her staff have been nothing but accommodating and encouraging to their students! Everything that is taught there is done with such precision to make sure we feel confident in what we are learning. For those of you looking to have a career in cosmetology i highly recommend this school I have had a fantastic experience. I am now a well established cosmetician and I have Betty and her staff to thank for that!

The best part of this school’s program, from my opinion, is Betty’s ADVANCE color class. I love the fact, that she puts lots of effort to provide us such an important information, that we will use in the field.There’s so much details into the color process, that we don’t know about or simply don’t understand. But there’s so much information being given, at this class, that it’s nearly impossible NOT to learn!

Went to have my roots colored for my Daughters wedding & a hair cut. Well didnt have the best experience. My color turned out wrong. The women doing my hair told me when she was done washing it oh the color is perfect.When we went to sit in the chair for her to cut it I saw my hair was red. I said to her why is my hair red my hair color is brown this doesnt match. She told me when I wash it the red would come out. I told her I was concerned. She went & got the Manger. From there everything was rushed to try & fix my hair. The school closed my hair was fixed for free but I can still see Red underneath. I never received the haircut. When I asked about her not finishing my cut she said well we close at 4:30 & its 5 now. You can come back tomorrow at 9. Well I have a flight tomorrow thats not going to work. They didnt charge me anything. But the service I called & made apt for was never finished. Also they tried to blame the color on me. Saying that I must of Bleached my hair before & we dont know what kinda of shampoo you use. And I must have some kinda of product on my hair. Well Ive never bleach my hair before its brown. Ive had my hair colored before professionally & this has never happened. Ive also have used color from a box before with no problems.I called back this afternoon because I have breakage where the color was applied. The owner answered when I told her who I was. She said that was rude what you wrote after all we did for you. 1st you knew my hair was messed up thats why you fixed it for free. And I would think anyplace would stay open to correct a problem. When I told her about my hair be damage she said thats not from us we only use professional products. Didnt say come on in so we can look at it. She actually hung up on me. I guess the truth hurts. What I wrote was only the truth. Also my hair cut was never finished I asked for long layers which was never done. She only trimmed the ends Im sure your student will tell you this. She told me she only did a blunt cut. Also I was in the car at 5:10 heading home I have a text on my phone with the time. Im sure some people may have a great experience here. But mine wasnt.

I went here to get my hair cut and a keratin treatment. The people were super friendly and the hair stylist was very patient with the numerous questions I had. She was also very knowledgeable about which products I should use to improve my hair. LOVED the outcome of my hair do. Definitely will be going back here!

Will the student was amazing!, gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever had. He took his time and made me look great, I highly recommend him to anyone. My only issue was the long wait but it was worth it!

I graduated from this school last year. Amazing teachers. Amazing experience. I have a great job right now and would not have been able to be where i am today without the help and support that the teachers gave me. Loved it. Would recommend to everyone!

It was great! Alex cut my hair, he is very enthusiastic, this was my first ever super precise haircut. He was understanding and responsive to how my hair should look like, and he did a great job. Kudos to him, and good luck!Recommended!

Prepurchased 2 haircuts to support the students. Called 10 times to make an appointment and never received a return call. They never answer the phone and they never return calls. They basically stole my money. Stay away from this place.

It’s a shame to call this institution an “academy”. Most of your students use drugs right in the parking lot of the academy, including some teachers. Do you do any drug screenings? You’d be better off making this a rehab center.

I went to school here and just graduated recently in the Barber program. This school leaves much to be desired. They arent clear with your disbursements with Financial Aid, the teachers mean well but arent going to give you a one on one experience. I learned how to do a hot shave with one of the students there teaching me. Unless you are constantly bugging them to give you something to do they wont stay on top of you to make sure you actually learn and do what you are supposed to. There is favoritism with the rotation of services, and just no actual structure.The school is clean so thats a positive. The students are nice but you arent going to get an excellent education here.

I scheduled an appointment to get a hair trim here and my experience was awful. The girl that cut my hair managed to ruin the hair cut that was already there, and i only asked for a trim. They have absolutely no idea how to thin out your hair. One of the instructors told the student that was cutting my hair that using thinning shears to thin out hair is considered cheating. After butchering my hair, I kindly told them that the haircut they gave me wasnt what i asked for, and the instructor then proceeded to tell me i was wrong. This didnt make any sense to me considering the fact that i brought in a picture of the haircut that i wanted ( the picture was of me with the haircut). I certainly do not recommend this place and would have given them 0 out of 5 stars had that been an option.

I am an student at this academy, teachers are very knowledgable and they make us practice over and over until we get it right. I love the passion and good energy of the owner, Miss Betty. Im proud to be part of this school

My barber did a good job. He cut my hair exactly as i asked & was very polite. & on a different note i was treated very poorly by 2 other students. The girl sitting and watching in chair next to me & my barber called me crazy & as i was leaving an older female student very boldly mocked the way i walked & and vocally commented about it...i didnt appreciate it...i will not go back again...

The hair color course that they teach is absolutely amazing and is very important to have this knowledge Im really happy that they offer the course because if they didnt I would have no clue what to do when it came for me to do color in the future

Terrible experience everytime i went there. Always had reasons to keep upping the charges on my hair. Last time there i was sent home with wet hair and when i dried it, was not done correctly. I highly recommend Boca beauty academy on Glades for 1/2 the price and great work with great instructors.

Very friendly students and the teacher Jeff is very helpful and looks over the haircuts. Great experience. Will come back again for sure!!!

As a recent graduate from this school I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in the master barber program as well as the cosmetology program.

This is the best hair accdemy .they give real education and i had been a hair dresser for 15 years and I learned alot from miss betty she have grate color classes that i highly recomend even for licensed hairdressers they have blow dry classes that u will first deal with when u get ur licenses and a lot more. u will be a top hairdresser when u graduate its fun and u will feel home nothing like that academy

I went to school here. Before starting i had ZERO experience in this field. When i started they made me feel right at home. Betty goes up and beyound to make sure that her students have eveything they need and make sure that they understand what they are learning. She is very deadicated to her students. Because of this dedication and care I am now succeeding in this field. I graduated with the feeling i could start right away as a stylist and it was true. The first place i went, the people that hired me were very impressed with the skill set i had being so new to the industry. I am now at a high end salon still using techniques she has taught me as my core cutting techniques. I HIGHLY recommend this school. I would not be where I am today without International Hair and Barber Academy!!

Hello ,I passed out from this academy about 8months back, and I am doing great in my career .When I joined school I was someone who did not even know how to blowdry my own hair , but the instructors there are awesome , they were super patient with me and taught me very well .I had a great experience at this school .findind a job was very easy , and every one at work ( all the senior stylist ) have great things to say about our skill for being out of school .I love the school and highly highly recommend it !!Jesika Kaul
