Before signing my now 3yo daughter into school a year ago, I toured a good amount of Montessori and traditional schools, and I can assure you EMMA is no doubt the best place for a Montessori education. The feeling of family and community, the exceptional certified teachers and admin staff, and for me one of the most important things - the respect for the child -. I cant be more grateful for founding this school, and it goes up to 8th grade! Recommended 100%

After moving to Florida, we tried two other preschools briefly before landing at Emerging Minds Montessori Academy. It came highly recommended from a professional colleague in education whose judgement I trust. We were not disappointed! Were currently in our fifth year, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school. My son started here in the toddler room and is now in 1st grade in the Lower Elementary classroom, and I have a daughter starting there this fall. The teachers are outstanding, the staff is fantastic, and the school just attracts the nicest kids and parents. Theyve really created something special here -- an environment that is warm, loving, fun and engaging, and filled with truly happy kids who have developed an intrinsic love for learning. It is definitely academically oriented and challenging, but it is child-led and at their own pace. Emerging Minds is the real deal as far as truly authentic Montessori (AMS member) schools go. I love that they go up to 8th grade and continue the mixed-age classroom and Montessori method of teaching.

Completely HEARTBROKEN! I was “wined and dined by Jeanne” - told that my son would receive special attention like every child based upon their needs. I felt conditioned to believe my 3 year old would be receiving the attention he needed. I discussed with them that he is delayed in speech and this will be his first interaction with teachers. She explicitly explained to me my son would be on the path to the learning time he needed and he would be protected. The fourth 1/2 day we attended, I walked my son to his room and said goodbye. I walked down the hall and past the teachers holding the doors and across the parking lot to my vehicle. I was at my vehicle and I heard my son yelling and RUNNING toward me. NO one protected him and they all stood there while my son ran into the driveway to me. I paid over 3000$ for 7 half days and 2 hours. I was also told by two individuals who are NOT pediatricians nor are they physiatrists that my child needed APA Therapy. They told me that perhaps he could come back as a “helper” in the two year old room. I’m so upset and SO disgusted that I ever experienced these moments with their facility and “teachers”.I was refunded $1100.00. I left lost, hurt, sad and hopeless. That’s where they left us as they threw some of my money back at me like we didn’t deserve it. I hope NO one will ever have to experience what we experienced with this “school”.

This school is by far the most outstanding place my children can go to. The classrooms are clean, well organized, full of wonderful activities for the kids to learn and grow, and is also a safe environment. They are proactive with the children and each child receives individual attention from all the staff. The staff themselves are absolutely the most wonderful people Ive ever met. My children love all the teachers and know each one by name. If the children are upset at drop off, the teachers take the necessary time to calm them and make them comfortable. This school is so extraordinary that I will never have my kids go anywhere else. My children and I will forever be Emerging Minds biggest fans! Thank you to each and every one of the wonderful people at Emerging Minds for helping my children grow into the extraordinary people they will become!

This school is amazing! We enrolled my daughter at 2 years old after we had a bad experience at another school. EMMA was so great and within no time she was no longer scared of school and loving it. This school is so warm and nurturing. My daughter is excelling there and learning so much. The past two years at this school have been phenomenal. Sadly due to a move we cant continue here but I was hoping my kids would stay through the 8th grade.

My son goes to this school....hes in VPK & he can read words and is always trying to sound out new words. He can count to 100 & count by 5s & 10s. Hes very shy by nature, but has developed excellent social skills whereas we can be at a restaurant & he will say hi to other children. The teachers are kind but firm which means they make sure he does his lessons. The administration is always around and available to parents. They also hold many events to involve parents such as Muffins with moms, aunts & grandmas.....donughts with dad.... etc. Great school....cant wait for my child to start Kindergarten here!

Administration is very disorganized. We didnt get past the shadow day for elementary aged children. I never received a call back to let me know how the shadow day went. I called and emailed several times with promises of a call back. When I finally complained via email, I received a letter in the mail saying that they explained to me at pickup that my child wasnt a fit for the school. Pickup was in a classroom full of kids and of course that was never explained! Unprofessional and I would never send my child to this school.

I had a horrible experience! Registered my son for summer camp to see in what grade he would be enrolled in, and they let to tell me by the end of the summer camp that my son is not a good fit to that school. Three days before the mckay deadline. They were innapropriate, unethical, discriminated my kid due to a delay making lies that he couldnt move around. Which is a huge lie. He will take a little longer, but he is not disabled. The matrix of the scholarship is 252. It is accepted on that school. And to begin with, the physical was not even an issue. Even when mentioned. And if that was the problem, they would have recognized on the very first dayBut instead, they took my $1000 for the two weeks and did what they did. Not to mention that the conversation they had with me was in front of staffs and parents with a loud and clear voice. So, as I human being with good sense i suggest you to find a school that will look to your kid as a kid not as a way to make money. A school that is passionate for what they do and not for what they get. I am in a processing of sueing that school for what they have done with us. Good luck on your finding! But me as a mom wanted to let this review for people like me desperately looking for referrals and dont know the area well. That school is not for our kids! They are not human beings. They dont vision the succeed of our kids, but the money they can make with them. You can vision that too, but have some respect on them and the parents as well!
