This is the best swim school in South FL. Kara is leading a dynamic and energetic team of coaches to bring all kids of joy and skills in the pool. They specialize in everything from the zero to 100, basic rollover survival skills, basic kicking, side breathing to butterfly arms and kicks etc. Iris has excelled to become a good swimmer for only two years here with consistent training and competes with bigger kids with full confidence! Great recommendation to every family with kids that want to learn swim, no matter what level you aim at.

We have been coming to Florida Swim School for years and love it! The staff and coaches are great and are really good about adjusting to skill sets and needs. It is a heated indoor pool so rain or shine classes continue. They are open late and on Saturdays, so it is a great place for working parents who arent available in the middle of the day. If you miss a class it is easy to book makeup lessons through their portal. Both of my children have been going to the school since they were 18 months old (they have classes for younger babies and adults as well) but it is nice because parents have the option to get in the pool with their kids or just wave from behind the glass. Their philosophy is definitely slow and steady and really focus on learning fundamental skills and techniques that promote lifelong swimming and wont just throw your kid in the pool and hope they swim. We have made great friends through the school and will continue to be a part of it!

We absolutely love FL Swim School! Our daughter has been attending classes here since she was about 18 months, and she just turned 4. She is a strong swimmer for her age thanks to Kara, Margaux, and the instructors at FSS. Last 4th of July, I watched her fall into a friends pool (supervised). As I panicked and rushed over, I watched her calmly swim to the side of the pool and climb out safely, just like theyve taught her to do. THANK YOU Kara & team for giving us peace of mind that no amount of money can buy. We will keep bringing Emily as long as youll have her. Our family is forever grateful for you!

I love this swim school! It is set up so beautifully with ocean decorations and a big window to watch your child swimming. Their instructors are all so nice & my daughter loves it!!

My daughter Natasha has so far 2 years receiving classes in this school, she not only is not afraid of the water, we know for sure she is prepared at her only 2 and half years of age (she started when she was 6 months!) and we are pleased to see her swimming under water to the sides of the pool, she knows to float all with no assistance, people at the school are so nice, they love her and I want to make special mention to her teacher Daniela, her first teacher Jill, Kara, Margaux, because they are all time demonstrated her passion and willingness to make these little babies prepared for one of the most important tools to learn specially in this state of Florida, wish a lot of years of success to them!

Both our daughters have been attending Florida Swim School for a couple years, and we all love it! Our girls look forward to the classes each week and the instructors are amazing. My oldest whos 5 is now a good swimmer, and will continue learning new skills as she advances in the different class levels. We tried other schools before this one, and none of them come anywhere close to the quality you get from this school and the instructors.

My 2 year old has been coming here for months and loves it! We have noticed a big difference in her ability and comfort level in the pool. All of the instructors she has had are great and the overall staff is friendly and helpful. Facilities are nice and clean as well.

My daughter has been going to the Florida Swim School for the past couple years. Her first few lessons were rough as she was afraid of being with an instructor she didn’t know and she was hesitant to get in the water, even for 15 minutes. We almost gave up and stopped going- but thanks to Kara, the owner, she encouraged us to keep coming and told us that some kids need extra time to get used to the routine and process of learning to swim. I’m so grateful for her guidance and patience as we did not give up and continued to show up for lessons each week. As a result, my daughter quickly got over her fear and started to truly enjoy being in the pool with her new friends and friendly instructors! Now she is thriving in every swim stroke and has even started to talk about joining the local swim team!

My son started swim classes here with Margeaux at 3 years old and he was dog paddling within a month! He loves coming to his swim classes and is now working on proper form for swimming with his instructor. We have been really happy with FL swim school and will continue to attend classes here until he is a strong, confident swimmer!

The coaches are nice, they helped my kid to get better, we loved the environment, it’s pretty cool and clean. The owner is very attentive. And the cost benefit it’s worth.

In the beginning my daughter and I really enjoyed the classes. The teacher we had was great (Kate) but she graduated and moved on so the first class with our new instructor was horrific! She smelt so strongly of alcohol. I brought this to the attention of the staff at the swim school and they said they would take care of it. I received an email later in the afternoon stating that the instructor had admitted to drinking the previous night “but stopped by 10pm” this made me so uncomfortable we didn’t return for our remaining classes for the month and canceled.Their cancellation policy is a little ridiculous. They bill for the whole month in advance, even if you mark yourself absent on some classes. They offer you a make up class but good luck finding a class that corresponds with your schedule. And if you have a morning class, you better hope your child doesnt wake up sick because if you dont get on the portal 4 hours prior to your class you will not be able to take advantage of the make up class!

The staff and management are amazing and very accommodating. Highly recommend sending your children here to learn to swim or overcome any pool fears.

Kind teachers - terrible business practice on ownership side - I was very excited to use this swim school as my LO is 9 months old. The teacher was lovely! Unfortunately after 2 lessons my daughter contracted Cocksocki- ulcers that over take a childs mouth and cause the inability to eat. My pediatrician advised me that this comes from Public pools - this is the only public pool my child has swam in ever . I called to explain my situation and that I would like to cancel future lessons - possibly do at home private lessons . I also requested a refund of $75 for the remaining lessons that month that we would not be participating it - I did not ask for the membership fee back - just the classes I would not be taking - the owner who was on the phone with me said she would not be able to do this as she can’t be sure that it came from her pool - what I found most disheartening is that she wasn’t willing to be accommodating. I own customer service based businesses-she exemplified bad business practice.

Dishonest ownership. My payment is deducted automatically every month, God forgive you have to get a make up class. They are good to take your money but not to give you what you pay for. My son got sick for a month with ear infections and could not get in the pool. After that our credit card was on file and they keep charging after multiple times canceling.

My son took 4 classes at the YMCA and learned nothing after 2 classes at Florida Swim his confidence is through the roof and for the 1st time I see progress and improvement in his abilities to learn to swim!!! Love it here

My son attends swim lessons and started when he was roughly 11 months old. Jill, his instructor, was amazing and always took her time with him as we dont have a pool and he is usually a little hesitant on entering the water. She allowed me to attend the lesson with him and explained everything she was doing as the lesson progressed. The facilities are very clean, pool is heated (which is awesome), hours are manageable, and they usually respond to any phone calls within the day. I rated a 4/5 only due to the front desk personnel is sometimes hit or miss. Most times I encounter someone very friendly and willing to answer my questions, but sometimes Im received with a rushed response or flippant attitude. Like I said, overall I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and would definitely recommend them to my friends. Ive already referred 1 friend already!

The attention is super bad, there are teachers who do not pay attention to the children and each class is always the same they do not advance, the teaching is super slow, the manager there always has a very unpleasant attitude.
