Our entire family trains with Common Ground in both the Karate and Kendo programs. Classes are lead in such way that all ages and skill levels feel welcomed, comfortable and challenged to grow. The instructors are amazing, I would give Common Ground Martial Arts the highest recommendation possible.

Weve been very pleased to recently join the Common Ground family. Our child, an elementary age student, began with Zoom classes and is now attending a mixture of Zoom and in person classes. Both course types have been very high quality with great engagement on the part of the instructors and students. Master Taylor is highly attentive, responsive, and cares about each child individually. Hes skilled and has a passion for his work. Our son is having fun learning skills and discipline.

My kids have been practicing Martial Arts at Common Ground for a few years. They absolutely love it! The confidence, the stamina, and the skills they are learning is invaluable. My 11 year old is learning a lot and having fun in the Kendo class. The zoom option is a great option to have to keep my son active and engaged during the pandemic.

I was a little intimidated to begin martial arts training as an adult. Not only has Common Ground created a welcoming environment for beginners, but they have also been incredibly patient and encouraging as I have learned the ropes. My son and I train together in this very family-friendly academy.

My family and I love Common Ground Martial Arts Academy. My 9 year old girls are currently training and its amazing watching their progress. I love the boost in self-confidence and awareness. Master Taylor is great with the kids and instills positive attitude and wonderful discipline.

My youngest son, who is 6, has been coming to Common Grounds now since September. We started at the recommendation of another family and I am impressed with Master Taylor and his attention to instruction that is fun and encouraging and on the level. I can see my sons confidence growing as he learns new skills and practices them. Trapper Taylor and his staff are a great resource for Martial arts Education in the High Country. He leads his classes out of a desire to educate and instruct, not from a place of false bravado or ego. Both of my children have trained here, and his instruction is excellent.
