Visiting from Raleigh and fortunate to have owner John W. Bond help us with our needs. He gave us a good price on some art supplies. The joy came when he invited us to see some of his own work in progress. So I am particularly grateful to post a review. I spent nine months in the Boone area during 2007/08 taking classes at Art Mart Academy. I really appreciated John Bonds keen sense and appreciation of art. He shared his artistic knowledge, offering each student opportunities to explore new directions in ones personal artistic growth. By providing exercises and illustrations of the elements of art, students could focus directly on accomplishing personal goals.I believe Johns guidance provided me with a new sense of artistic confidence that encouraged me to continue broadening my exploration of art. As a result, my art has become a way of life. I thank John Bond for his encouragement and assignment challenges. (I reflect frequently on my time spent at Art Mart Academy!)

My son took an art class here and produced something pretty good for him. I decided that I would come and take a lesson as well. I used to paint but had gotten out of it. The owner was very good in teaching me a lot of stuff in a short amount of time and introducing me to a new medium and style. I was amazed and am so into painting now that it is all I want to do. I highly recommend the art classes and this store.
