My daughter and I have had the MOST fun at Yonahlossee Stables this summer! The staff is great with kids and most patient with know it all moms. The lesson ponies and horses are very well cared for and safe for beginners. Looking forward to enjoying this barn for many years.

I have been so happy at Rising Star Equestrian Center and my horse has as well. The facilities are amazing and weather never keeps me from riding. The owners and managers are wonderful as well. They take really good care of the horses and truly care about each horse there. Super friendly boarders and lessoners too, no barn drama either!

Great staff, management, and owners they are all very kind and helpful. 100% recommend them for lessons/ boarding/trail rides they have taught me the right way to do everything with a horse from safety, tacking, lunging, and riding. They have a great indoor arena so bad weather won’t stop you from riding, anything you need they will definitely take good care of you.

Formally know as Rising Star Equestrian Center, Yonholossee Stables at Pine Hill is not a place I would want to board or work. I was originally a boarder then became an employee. I removed my horse from this facility because at the time the fencing was dangerous and you could tell the owners were very cheap when it came to the horse’s care. Hardly any shavings in the stalls, only one water bucket per stall, and no feed tubs in the stalls. As an employee things were even worse. You were never paid for over time which happened often due to the owners once again being too cheap to hire enough employees. The employees I worked with and myself included brought in family members so that we would have some help. Apparently they thought one person could take care of the 29 horses and all barn chores correctly and not cut corners. Dennis Muse loves to bully and intimidate people. He constantly will talk over you and is very rude to those who work for him. He has yelled and cussed his employees. Another former employee recently posted a review on Facebook that was deleted because it showed this facility in a negative light. Of course this person was called a lair. These people speak of showing respect but they show respect to no one. You can give your honest experience with them and they will throw a fit and call you a liar. Watauga county is still very much an old school place and to get respect here you have to give it. The manager that came in after myself and other left did wonders for this place from what I could see and now she’s gone as well and has been spoke negatively about as well.

This wonderful equestrian center is very community minded and generously donated to an auction for The Childrens Playhouse, a nonprofit childrens museum.

My family loves boarding at Rising Star Equestrian Center! Wonderful people and facility!
