The Lower Mills campus offers a safe and loving environment for students to learn. For those students who enjoy learning and push themselves, they do well here. The teachers care about the students and want to see them all achieve success, although I feel not all students take advantage of the opportunities the teachers provide to help them excel. The principal, Ms. Warshafsky, is wonderful. There are no words to describe her amazing leadership skills and her ability to bond with students and parents. She cares about the school and wants to see all the students do well, while still showing support for parents. You could not ask for a better leader.

I was in this school for four years and left at the end of Fourth Grade. This school is amazing and has great teachers and classmates. The education is very succinct and thoughtful. I miss my friends, such as Abby, McKinley, Christine, Omeka, Dorian, Daniella, Brandon, Kenton and so on. Im trying to find a way to come visit! I miss this school!

Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy is by far the most amazing school any parent could put there child in. My daughter started when she was only 3 years old and she fell in love with the school. I took my daughter out of the school for one year due to us moving to RI and it was the worse mistake ever. Everyday when i pick her up from school she would cry and beg me to bring her back to her old school. In 2017 i sign her back up and her little brother and it was the best decision ever. The schools mission, curriculum, activities and the are endless her at SJPII, bulling is definitely not allowed at this school ! we are full catholic but this school has no discrimination whats so ever theres all type of kids from all over . What i love most about the school is the teachers and Miss.Warshasky which is the principal . Mrs.Warshasky is the most wonderful human being living, me being a single parent and we travel from RI everyday shes always caring to me and the kids . My daughter is an advocate of this school everywhere she goes shes proud of the school she attends, me as a parent my kids happiness is all that matters and SJPII is the only school i could see my kids at. My daughter loves this school so much she says mommy when i graduate from SJPII i want to volunteer and always be involve in the school. God bless all the teachers and Miss.Warshasky for your hard work and dedications to my kids.

I went here for 3rd and 4th grade. I like that I made a few friends but other than that I was bullied both years. One time a boy took my hood off of my winter jacket and threw it away, it was never found. I was bullied for two years even when I finally told my mom more often then tried to say I may have a hard time socializing. I am at the Dawe Elementary school in Stoughton and it is the best school I have ever been to. Don’t send your kids here

Such a loving, warm, and safe environment for both your child and you as a parent. This is my daughters first and last year at this school because she is in the 8th grade. We moved up from Florida and was searching a good fit for 8th grade. Taking into considerations all the changes my daughter would have to make coming to Boston and leaving many of her friends behind, friends that she went to school with since kindergarten, I had to find the right fit. I visited several schools and thought they were pretty good as far as academics. A friend of mine told me to check out SJP2CA Lowermills. At first, I didnt think much of it because were not Catholic and wasnt sure this would be the right fit. But, my friend kept nudging me.Within 10 minutes of meeting Principal Warshafsky, I felt like a ton was lifted off of my chest. She just understands how important community is at school. During my visit, I was able to speak with students from K to 8th grade. She not only knew everyone by name, but she also knew about their interests, hopes, and dreams. She also introduced me to a parent who shared her experience with me and explained why she drives all the way from RI to take her kids to this school. Im a little embarrassed to say, but I was crying my eyes out. Many of my fears started to feel a little easier to overcome. I forgot to add, I had already started enrollment for my daughter at another school. I immediately dropped that process and enroll my daughter at this school.Principal Warshafsky is amazing and she is involved in every area of making her school great. But she also works with a great group of teachers and supporting staff members. To list a few, Ms. Roell (science and social studies) clearly loves her job and cares about her students and their success. She doesnt give up on her kids. Ms. Haley (Math teacher) is always available to help her students with math problems after school. My daughter is doing really well in her class. Shes never care for math much but now shes built up a confidence in math that I am very impressed by. Shes even willing to help other kids in her class. Ms. Winn (ELA teacher) is very engaging. ELA is one of my daughters favorite subjects. She loves reading and developing stories. She enjoys the assigned reading and Ms. Winn has even recommended other books to her. Ms. K (guidance counselor) is very supportive! The high school application process can be very stressful. The application process is demanding. Ms. K goes above and beyond, from evening calls to make sure my daughter has everything I need for the deadline to chasing down old transcripts from the her previous school. Mr. Cain (computer science teacher) loves introducing the students to the tools they need to be successful in the techy world we now live in. He runs a fantastic Girls Who Code program for about 15 to 20 girls. Nurse Tanya will look after your child as if they were her own. There are so many more teachers at this school that are absolutely wonderful. But a special thank you goes out to the few I mentioned above.Thank you SJP2CA Lowermills!!! You have made this journey much easier and pleasant to hike.

DONT BELIEVE THESE GOOD, 5 STAR REVIEWS. THEY ARE LYING TO YOU.Education is alright. The renovation of SJP was really wonderful. The soft blue colors of the school really fit with the atmosphere of childhood into adolescence. However; all four schools, in general, do not deal well with the treatment of children. The Mattapan fourth grade teacher Mrs.Duggan constantly degraded students, and would not even attempt to help those who struggled. At Lower Mills, nothing really changed. Mrs.Betty, Mrs.Eaton, and Mrs.Rowell were the only good parts. The students were allowed to break serious rules and mistreat others, until it got serious. Bullying was very common. Mrs. Lisa is the only reason why certain incidents were resolved, and even then, things are only resolved to save the schools nonexistent good reputation. Certain classes were treated like trash, even if the kids were good and quiet, while other classes were allowed to do whatever they wanted, even if said class was misbehaving. Only the LM campus, out of all four schools, did not give their 8th grade of 2016 a yearbook. They excluded the 8th grade from a few events that the other campuss 8th grade participated in. This is not a school to send your child to, unless you have a wicked stepchild that you want to experience how it feels to be treated as if you are a punching bag.
