As i look at the reviews for this business, there are many reviews by people associated with it: owners, teachers, etc, rave reviews. what does that tell me? the place is great for THEM. not many independent reviews on here at all. as a parent doing research, thats the first thing i see. i dont think it helps a business when the people running the place put up these reviews.

I grew up dancing at Applause Studio and they are like family to me. They have a great variety of performing arts classes, including hip hop, musical theater, ballet, private voice/guitar/piano lessons, and even film acting! They have a performance team, a musical theater production troupe, and competition teams. They also put on an annual Ballet production with all the ballet students! Applauses main focus is on fun and creating close bonds with dancers and their families. This is a great studio to go to, especially if you are just starting out dancing, acting, or singing.

Both my girls have danced here. One for 9 years and the other going on 10 years. We have stayed with applause for so long because they really care about the kids and the families. The teachers are all very helpful and knowledgeable. The studio teaches the kids to care for one another and support one another.Its the best choice I made for my girls.

I have now danced at Applause studio for 10 Years! I love it more than anything the teachers are all outstanding people and I have made my second family here. I have learned so much! I came here not only to dance but have made the best of friends and have created such close relationships with my teachers! Definitely the best place for anyone just starting out or continuing their dance career!

Staff members are delightful and on your side. That and the choreography are the only reasons I will not this studio one star. The owner of the studio doesnt use the money shes making properly. During recitals there is way too little staff helping and they beg parents to help backstage rather than watch their children perform. Costumes are terrible, my child once came home with a smelly bought at a thrift stores and never once washed. Still had a Goodwill tag on it. I am sure this studio violates many health codes and if there is a health inspector reading I highly recommend you surprise check out this studio immediately for the childrens safety. But my biggest issue is one male staff member and the co-owner of this business. Im not sure what the staffs name is but he is a random old man working in a studio that mostly young girls attend. My daughter has seen him too and she avoids him at all costs due to how uncomfortable he makes her. She told me that he once spoke to her randomly when she was clearly uncomfortable with him... She said he had an Australian accent and left walking because he didnt have a car. The co-owners name is Debora and she is the rudest 79 year old I have ever met. Its not like shes grumpy and old, its like she spends all the studios money on her health problems so she can run and walk and talk and think and function perfectly but she insults my child and her friends like a petty 8 year old brat. My daughter left crying after a recital where Debora told her that her neck was too skinny. My daughter is 12 years old. She is much to young to worry about the way she looks, especially when shes beautiful despite what a retarded unsuccessful old lady tells her. I hope Debora gets her karma for that one. Not only is she rude to her students, she is rude to the parents and staff during recitals. If you are looking for a better place for your child to take dance lessons I would definitely recommend Washington School of Dance (its by Five Guys). Im taking my daughter back there this year because the teachers make her feel much more confident with herself.

Outstanding place to discover singing dancing and or acting! Big plus, age appropriate dance moves and costumes! ! !
