We have been at HCA for 6 years and we have loved it every year. The teachers are loving and want the best for the kids. The kids love going to school. I love that they not only teach the word of God but show it through example. I now have all three of my kids here. It is a financial stretch for us but we see it as an investment in our children s spiritual future. With teaching them good values, empathy and how to follow Jesus we hope to give them the tools to make good decision s when we arent around.

This school is the least organized educational institution which I have ever experienced. The principal is not a certified teacher. She was a librarian who had received no previous management experience. The previous principal, Mrs. Walla, was structured, disciplined, organized, and creative. However, in my opinion, the school suffered under the latest principal. The teachers are very nice, but they are not given structures to help their students. However, the children are sweet and pleasant.

Dear Sleeping Panda, I am so sorry to read about your perception of and experience at Heritage Christian Academy! As a parent, this is my 16th year at HCA and I can honestly say the school has never functioned better! While the previous Principal did not have a teaching degree (many do not), she did have extensive program management experience (involving children) which played a direct and visible role in not only improving academic achievement, furthering spiritual emphasis and development, but also continued growth in enrollment.I also have to say that I am really excited with the planned transition to our current Principal, Josh Saunders. While he has the education for the position, he, like the previous principal, has a commitment to, a passion and a vision for HCA, as well as each and every child that attends our school. This, in my opinion, can often prove to be more effective than a specific degree.My daughter attended PS3-8th and is 19 now. She would tell you that she had an AMAZING experience at HCA. My son, who is very different from my daughter, is currently in the 4th grade at HCA and he is absolutely thriving. The teachers abilities and significant efforts to understand and teach to each child has positively impacted both of my very different learners, immensely.Honestly, watching my 11 year old son continue to grow each year, spiritually, emotionally and academically (again, the direct result of the teachers/staff and the overall culture of the school,) is such a blessing and absolutely priceless!Best to you and your family, Sleeping Panda.
