I have worked with Renaissance Adventures (Boulder Summer Camps) for over 10 years, helping with photography and design projects when needed. I love seeing the energy and enthusiasm the campers have! They love the quests and all the fun, imaginative play. It is great to see children and teens out enjoying the outdoors and using their minds to create new and different play each time. What fun to photograph and to get to see what happens at the camps! Send your kiddo to these people-- theyll have a blast!

Treats employees like trashThe main 2 owners do not listen to any one and are ver stressful to work for. Many other employees call this place toxic. They do not take care of their people. Not how you run abusiness that is supposed to teach kids to learn good social-emotinal skillsI had to post this anonmously because they make me feel so uncomfortable and I have seen them strike back at employees before.

Renaissance adventures has been an amazing program for my son. He has learned how to deal with conflicts in a positive way as well as work collaboratively with other kids. I have also found that the professional staff at RA are wonderful to with and are willing to find creative ways to meet kids and parent needs. Thank you Renaissance Adventures and Pam for the all of your help and willingness to facilitate needs of our little questers!

My two boys (ages 9 and 11) participated in Renaissance Adventures summer camps and absolutely loved them! They beg me to do them every summer. Its great imaginative play with team building and problem solving. This year, its the only camp my boys want to do. I highly recommend. Im having them come out with a birthday adventure for my oldest son and after telling them how great I thought they were, they said if I said so online, Id get a discount. Its a win-win.

My son (12) has been experiencing your summer camp for the first time this week. He has been to almost every type of camp the Denver area has to offer. He has said that is his favorite camp so far.One of my favorite quotes from him so far has been Ive been to so many places during this camp, to another planet, to a desert, to a jungle - but not underwater yet, I wonder if well go there Bravo Renaissance Adventures: for the leaders you have chosen, the format you have created and the opportunity you have given my son.

We were very happy with the birthday party run by R.A. for our 8 year old son. We had a pretty large group and the two quest leaders managed everything very well. We also were able to rally parents to play parts of the dragon and got really good feedback from parents and kids that a great time was had by all.

Renaissance Adventures has affected our family in an unexpected way! My daughter can easily sleep until noon on her days off from school. She has only played twice before, but absolutely loved it. Since we drive around an hour to get to the event, we have to get up super early. I warned my daughter that 6:15 was much earlier than she was used to. All my son had to do when the alarm went off at 6:15 was yell Its time to LARP! My daughter literally flew out of bed to get ready to go. Thanks for offering something my kids look so forward to participating in! I was offered a discount if I was willing to post my review.

They did not show-up to the birthday day party, as scheduled. No call, no show. The mother of the birthday boy could not get in touch of the coordinator, as well. My daughter had to witness a heart broken boy anticipating a magical event that never happened. The only memorable moment from this tragic event was the support and unity the children exhibited with the birthday boy, in his time of sorrow.I strongly encourage avoiding this company.

My son did these quests last summer as camp and LOVED them. He said they were his favorite camps, and I had him signed up for all sorts of camps. He begged me to send him for a full month next summer, he loved it so much. Imaginative play, in this day and age, is sorely needed in a childs life, and Renaissance Adventures serves this up perfectly> Well-guided, well-executed and in a safe atmosphere. We cant wait to sign him up for his next adventure. Im actually about to right now!

My daughter has done this camp for two summers and is looking forward to another camp this summer. She has fun outdoors, likes continuing to develop her character, and enjoys the time with other kids. Definitely recommend this camp for other kids!

Bad then great. I booked an adventure quest for my sons 9th birthday party but no one showed up. He was absolutely devastated. I had a difficult time communicating with the birthday coordinator. It took lots of calls to the office to get a response. She was always in training or not available and it took weeks to respond to my initial booking request. The week before the party I both emailed and called to confirm. She eventually left me a voice mail telling me we were good to go. When no one showed up, she was unresponsive to calls and texts. I finally managed to get in touch with someone at the office (it was a Sunday). I was told I wasnt even on the schedule.Im giving them 4 stars because of how they responded to the no show. Mark Hope (who I believe is the manager or director) dealt with my situation. He told me there is a new birthday coordinator and offered me a free adventure quest for the birthday guests. We scheduled the quest for a few weeks after the original party. It was awesome - exactly what wed hoped for! There were dragons, epic sword battles and lots of smiles. The quest leader did a great job keeping the kids entertained and responding to the direction they wanted to take the quest. The communication leading up to the do over was great. I knew who to expect and was in contact with the quest leader. A much better experience!Mark also offered my son a free week of summer camp. We havent been able to take advantage of the camp yet. Overall, a mistake was made but they more than made up for it. I recommend them for birthday parties.

My son’s first adventure quest was at 6 years old at an afterschool program and he loved it ever since. We’ve also done a day long adventure at the Boulder location and week long camps in Denver. My son could not stop taking about the stories, the special abilities he possessed (as a Treekin character) and the sword play moves he will practice. The imagination he gets to play out and benefits of the social interaction are amazing. And all the outside time!As a parent, I appreciate the small group sizes, attentive quest leaders and the structure the camp provides. I loved the fact that they made sure everyone actually sat for lunch and that my son ate something. I feel that it can help kids learn to navigate social situations in a fun environment since there are certain “rules of engagement” they learn which gives them some certainty while building their confidence: the quest leader provides the structure through a story and all players are characters that have their own rules and abilities.I highly recommend this special jewel of a camp and adventure!

Our three kids (ages 13, 11 and 6) attended an adventure quest camp this week and it was absolutely awesome. This happened to be an exceptionally hot week and the camp was entirely outdoors so I was worried they would burn out, but they loved every minute. Somehow, in the middle of a somewhat bedraggled park, in 97 degree weather, the quest leaders managed to create an incredibly rich imaginary world full of amazing creatures, magical potions, fierce duels and mysterious puzzles. (And also some pretty goofy songs, which had the kids cracking up.) The leaders maintain great energy, enthusiasm and passion for the adventure, and its infectious. Our kids came home exhausted but exhilerated every single day, and they cant wait to go back to continue the quest later this summer. This is a great program for kids with imagination!!
