A couple weeks ago my husband and I went climbing with a guide, Meg Yingling, in El Dorado Canyon and had the best time! Colorado Mountain School made it so easy and convenient to book a guide and we were so lucky to be placed with her (although I have no doubt the rest of their guides are wonderful as well.) Meg was incredibly experienced, knowledgeable, patient and helpful as well as just so much fun to spend time with. This was our first experience with multi-pitch and trad climbing, and we couldnt have picked a better person to do it with. We cant wait to go out with her again the next time we are in Colorado!

We had an amazing corporate event with Colorado Mountain School! They did a great job setting up a day that everyone could enjoy regardless of skill level. Rainbow and the crew were all incredibly welcoming and kept us laughing while also ensuring we were safe. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great outdoor event for the office!

Great Experience! I used to mountain climb centuries ago and havent touched a rock since then. This year, I decided it was time to go back to the activity that gives an incredible amount of joy, a sense of achievement and pushes you to your limits.CMS and my guide Tyler Allen provided smooth and steady immersion to rock climbing. From going through the basics of rock climbing and belaying techniques on day one to climbing the “South Ridge” on Notchtop in Odessa Gorge on day three, I felt supported and in the same challenged with a new adventure.I can highly recommend CMS to anyone who is looking for upgrading their climbing skills or having an adventurous day in the mountains under the supervision of a highly experienced guide.

I did a 2 day intro to mountaineering course with Ian Fowler. There are not enough words to describe how awesome those 2 days were and how amazing Ian has been as a guide to learn from. Ian was super knowledgeable and patient and I learned so much during these 2 days. But most importantly - I was left with a taste for more mountaineering and I am eager to learn more and do more! 5 stars!!!

If I could give more stars, I would! The office staff at CMS is excellent: eager to help folks complete successful adventures. My mountain climbing experience with Jason was absolutely outstanding. Hes an expert, a pro, in every possible way without a hint of condescension. Patient, skilled, directive, supportive... the list goes on. I am literally already thinking about new adventures to take on, JUST so I can work with him again. (Ice climbing, anyone?) I cannot recommend him or this organization highly enough.Dont hesitate. Figure out your next big thing and ask CMS to help you make it happen. Theyre worth EVERY penny.

What an exciting and eye opening experience for my first alpine climbing trip! Sarah, our guide, did a great job taking us through the day. The learning curve for becoming proficient at alpine climbing can be quite steep. Sarah was so patient, providing a lot of tips throughout the day and I feel I learned so much! I still have a ton to learn but Ill be much better prepared for my next alpine climbing adventure!

From the moment of my first call for information to our familys last climb, CMS was fantastic. They led me through the options, helped design a week of climbs around our planned destination, and coordinated with us around weather and gear. I felt safe and prepared, and we had a great trip. We are already planning a return to take it to the next level!

Jason Antin was our guide on the flatirons and did an AMAZING job. Jason was very upbeat, fun, and extremely capable. It allowed our team to focus on the experience and the challenge instead of the uncertainty of the logistics and the concern that we werent properly planned. Would absolutely work with CMS and Jason again...

CMS and the team have been awesome. I went on my first ever guided climb with Jason Antin and couldnt have asked for a better experience. Jason focused on my specific climbing goals throughout the day, had a ton of knowledge of other climbs in the area and ways I could improve, and made sure we were 100% safe throughout the climb (and also made the experience really enjoyable and positive!). Ill most definitely be back to climb more with CMS and Jason!

If I could give this a 10/5 I would. My partner and I had the BEST TIME EVER. We booked with CMS as we were driving cross country from Michigan->Cali. We normally climb in West Virginia and one of our favorite guides recently joined the CMS team this summer and we knew we HAD to visit. We booked a half day trip with the wonderful Tyler Allen and did the first Flatiron in Boulder. We woke up at 6am to beat the heat (HIGHLY recommend) and just loved it. Since we were traveling we did not have all of our gear but CMS provided me with the shoes, harness and helmet I needed. I felt safe, comfortable and challenged in the climb in the best way possible.Do the climb. Wake up early. Enjoy yourself. and also.. tip your guides!

I couldn’t be more happy with the experience! The instructor Jesse was extremely knowledgeable and safety conscious. They provided the equipment needed, and took me through the entire process from preparation to summit! I have always wanted to go Ice Climbing and finally decided to do it through the CMC. Very efficient in the paperwork and straight forward on the gear required for the first trip. Rental gear was in great shape. The guide/ instructor (Mia) was superb; excellent in teaching the fundamentals while providing the guidance required to keep improving on technique throughout the day. The student to guide ratio was spectacular. It was a perfect day. Thank you.

I took my SPI course with Wes and it was so much more than I anticipated. I learned so much over the course of 3 days and Wes is on point. The dude is super professional and is a master of his craft. He changed our location from Boulder to Vedauwoo and I was super psyched he did. It was not only a way better better environment to teach and learn in but overall was a great camping and climbing trip! Wes is hilarious and super friendly to everyone he encounters. Really easy to get connect with and really open to questions and helping you learn the way you learn. 10/10 would recommend!

Megan Yingling guided my first climbing trip outdoors on April 3, 2021. She was very knowledgable of the Eldorado Canyon State Park area and all of the routes in the park. As a first time outdoor and roped climber at the time, I felt totally safe and confident in Megan’s hands. Megan also gave me some rundowns on skills such as tying a figure 8 knot, lead belaying, cleaning and placing gear, rappelling, and setting up and cleaning anchors. She was super friendly and easy to spend a day with. I highly recommend Megan to anyone looking to finally get outdoors for the first time!
