This program is a fantastic investment for your student’s musical instruction on a stringed instrument! The instructors are knowledgeable, kind, and able to relate both musical instruction and theory on a level that children through high school can understand and learn from. Parents are given support both by instructors, as well as other veteran parents and students. This program has also taught my children the importance of sharing their musical abilities with others by providing opportunities to perform at various locations within our local community, while making lasting friendships with other students. Our family loves this program and the lessons my children are learning (both musically & socially) are truly priceless.

This program is truly amazing and has enriched the lives of my daughters. The instructors have exceptional skills and the knowledge to teach even very young children , while making it enjoyable and fun. Learning music also has helped them to focus and concentrate . The performances are a great boost for their confidence.

My girls have been a part of this lovely strings program for four years. The program is well structured with excellent teachers. Parents and students are supported at every level. WKU strings is musically enriching both individuals and the community. We are so lucky to have access to this program!

This is a great program, my girls have been several years now and had enjoyed every single class, lessons are individual and in group making the learning more enjoyable. It is a good place to learn strings and also to develop social skills for the kids.Teachers are very professional, friendly and very talented.

Our five year old son has been involved in the WKU Pre-College Strings Program for a year. The quality of education and support that our family has received here has been remarkable. Every effort is taken to encourage and equip parents and their children to get the most out of their experience with music lessons. I have seen teachers of the WKU Pre-College Strings Program working with beginners, intermediate, and advanced students; all of whom were comfortable and excited about learning to play their instrument. I highly recommend this program for all ages and stages!
