I took The “D Course” recently and it was a great experience! Mr. Cruz did a phenomenal job keeping the class in order during my time there! Considering not everyone took it seriously. Especially at first. This Instructor was informative, fun, polite, and very serious when necessary! The course by law is 40 hours! Just to beware for those interested….but, Mr. Cruz does a great job being fair to everyone with breaks when needed. And his sense of humor helps make the course fly by when it feels like it’s starting to drag! Highly recommended! My only advice is you must have discipline to get through this course! And from what I witnessed during the course some definitely needed it! Thank you Mr. Cruz!

Just finished my Florida mandated D licensing class with Ubaldo Cruz. He was a perfect mix of polite, assertive, informative, and experienced for me to learn everything I needed to learn in my course. If you are looking for a great course to get certified for security work, use Invictus and hope for Gunny Cruz.

The virtual experience is a disaster. The instructor Cruz becomes very irritated if you have technical issues. He is easily agitated if you message him you are having problems on your end. While you are just alerting him, his response is always like you are irritating him and for you to contact customer support. His facial expressions were always like stop bothering me.I asked a question for clarity and he blasted me by calling out my name and making me feel small. You are the instructor. If someone needs clarity, provide it. You should never belittle anyone or make them feel like their question is irrelevant. I didnt ask another question and limited my participation for that reason alone. IMO he comes off very rude.Gunny, one of his other names, spent the first day babbling and repeating himself. When someone asked if he could get the class started, he yelled at them declaring he was the instructor and things started when he was ready.Cruz lacked professionalism at times. Even when people asked for resources, because he is looked at to be an expert, he would roll his head and say search Google.This is new, but hey, it is not an excuse to be rude to people. I can say I am glad I didnt have to spend 40 hours in a classroom with him. I would have definitely asked to reschedule had he done to me in person what he did online.

Great instructor, Mr. Gunny was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole course and I’m not the best at mornings because I’m used to over night shift times, but he was great. Nice and loud and kept the class interesting, that helped me get through the class. Overall a great company to take your courses for security!

Ubaldo Cruz is a great instructor Folks! I recommend them for anyone who is looking to sign up for the D class. Its 40hrs just follow along and write notes when he says too and youll be fine. :)

This school was close to my house and had good ratings. I did not know it was one of the top schools in the area prior to attending, however I understand now why the reviews were so good. The instructors are very knowledgeable in this industry and take pride in their position to equip those with the appropriate knowledge to become a licensed security professional in the state of Florida. Specifically Instructor Cruz for the D course and instructor Curtis for the G course definitely take the curriculum very seriously, all while trying to make it easy going and not stressful. They have all types of people in their courses with many different levels of learning capabilities and they seem to be able to reach all of their students without prejudices. Don’t waste your time with other schools as people traveled over an hour to attend this school and I now know why. #Rev

Did my G recert with Invictus on Sun. This was my second time with this agency and I came away with an even better impression than the last time, unbelievably. Ive been a G licensed officer since 2005 and have been through G recert classes all over, the quality of instruction from this agency is unparalleled, honestly. The professionalism and expertise of Victor and Curtis, the range instructors, made this recert class a joy to attend. I had enjoyed last years class but, this cemented it for me. I wont be going anywhere else for any security related training in the future. I HIGHLY recommend Invictus for reality based security training.

This company caress more about a qucik buck than actual service. Ive requesting a refund from them since September 8th its now November 4th.They respond apologizing for the inconveniences, say it takes 2 weeks to process. A month passes nothing happens and when you email them about it they refuse to reply.In conclusion as long as you dont pay for the wrong class you might be able to get your license God willing but a shady company like this I would just pass up and take your business else where just to be safe.

When I decide to take the D course, I never thought it would be that informational and educational. Im here in Boynton Beach, FL. The course itself was long. 4 10.5hr days is nothing to laugh at, but I did learn a little while I was here. Mr. Cruz is helpful tries to keep the class interesting & will answer any question you have as long as its not a hypothetical one. All in all, its cool.

Pretty good G-license class I took back in Sept of 2019. I had Victor and Curtis. Really great instructors. I learned a lot.

It was great, easy but fun course, lots of information in a much simpler way than expected, don’t listen to the one star reviews, I went through to read them and they were just because people didn’t listen during the class, trust me you can’t go wrong with these guys. Just pay attention it will al come together and if you aren’t sure, just ask, they aren’t a slimy business.

I had a great experience and the class had a very straightforward process that allowed me to easily digest the information. Learned a lot from Gunny Cruz, and loved the training offered through my “D” and future “G” Licensing courses. The only reason this place isn’t a 5/5 stars across the board is due to the ignorant excuses given by those who don’t listen and/or follow directions. This course is crystal clear in instructing you how to go about getting your certification and licenses, as well as holding your hand through the process outside of the 40 hours of in class instruction (for the D license). There is NO REASON to not come out of this course a more proficient and knowledgeable future security officer. They even help you get hired!! Invictus is second to none and Gunny Cruz should be given a vacation bonus for how much effort and enthusiasm he puts into each and every 40 hour class he teaches weekly. I HIGHLY recommend Invictus’ training if you want to be noticed as a top security officer in the industry.

If I could give zero stars, I would... all based on one simple fact from experience at the Boynton Beach Invictus School.My husband used Invictus last year to get his G license. His understanding from the instructor and the course material book was that he needed to re qualify to renew his license during the first calendar year after which it was issued. So if he got the license in Oct 2016, it meant he needed to do the re qualify by the end of Dec 2017. Fast forward to this year, and he gets a notice from the state saying that since he didnt re qualify by Oct 2017, his license is now suspended and he needs to redo the entire course again to get his license back. There was one other student in his class that he kept in touch with whom this also happened to. Thinking this was just a simple misunderstanding.. we moved on and resigned up for the class.Now he is back in the class at Invictus, retaking the $200 course, and the instructor is stating the exact same thing! Also come to find out that 3/4 of the class are all people that had to retake it because of the EXACT SAME THING. My husband goes to pay, and the employee who takes the payment TELLS HIM they are vague ON PURPOSE to get more money next year !!!! What kind of deceitful school and instructors would do such a thing to earn an extra buck ?!?! It makes you wonder what else is being taught wrong....

At first I thought it was going to be another boring class . The first hours of my 40 hour D course completely made me swallow those words. Very intrested and fun class . The instructors highly qualified and friendly, they really try to take care of you in every aspect. Even to help me make a resume . They also have recruiters from security companies that come and offer jobs . Wow what a bundle definitely worth the $280.

Took the G28 Class this weekend and Couldnt possibly be happier. Even having a few years in the field I learned things that I hadnt considered and Both the instructors Were amazing.They ensured range day was safe and incident free and that everyone walked away with a better understanding of the expectations of a Florida Class G License holder.I strongly recommend this company if you are seeking really any kind of more in depth tactical training, or even just the Basic 28 hour G course. They also offer advanced Medic training along with a myriad of others.Scott and the Instructors were amazing and I will absolutely be returning for continued education in the future.For those that may be concerned about the re-qualification structure, It was made VERY clear to me in the class and is stated in the Handbook which adheres to Florida State law: These instructors take every step to ensure 100 percent that you are made aware of the re-qualification requirements and standards.

Invictus far outclasses all of the security schools I have ever attended or heard of. I have just completed the G License course and I must say that Tariek & Chris were a pleasure to work with. Their patience, expertise & the level of safety they maintained are unmatched in the industry. They also managed to make a class that could very easily have been boring and dry, very entertaining. I can easily speak for my class and state that when the course was completed we really didnt want the experience to end.If this is not how you felt about your Security training then you went to the wrong institution. Dont make that mistake again.

Ive been working in security for more than 20 years Ive had a D & G license. I just took the course for the G. The instructors are second to none. I learned more in 28 hours than all of the instruction Ive recieved in 20 years Go the them take the course and do just one thing.... There are a lot shady schools and providers out there. Invictus is not one of them. The instructors are real intstructors that have LEO experience as well as time down range. Great school for obtaining your D and G security licenses. As well as a positive learning environment, and knowledgeable well trained staff.

The class d school is totally worth it but the g course is a total waste of time and money as all and I mean all of the jobs Ive tried to get wont even give you the time of day unless you have military or police experience so pretty much you will find yourself trapped into reserting your g license every year for nothing.... On the bright side the instructors are nothing but professional. I rate two stars because now myself am trapped into a license I cant make money on... And have to keep paying money for it....

If you are going make sure you ask for the week that CABERA is teaching he is the BEST teacher at Invictus, Nate is second. You wont be bored, Cabera made it very interesting and keeps you laughing, you will want to show up for class. Overall they are helpful and want to see you succeed. Invictus is more concerned in putting money in their pockets!!! The level of incompetent is extremely embarrassing on their part. They offered a equivalent guardian training which they claimed was at the level that the law required. That was not true as the Palm Beach Sheriffs Office investigated their training and concluded that they did not follow the law accordingly. Do not believe anything they say as its all bull!
