Pros: My sons have both benefited from the excellent care and teaching at this preschool. My three year old is learning at a kindergarten level. Their 5 year old group reads and does math problems, Im always impressed in the classes. They are actually well staffed, with two teachers in each 20 person class and rotating teachers helpers. They hold on to their staff for years which means they are paid and treated fairly, a problem that other schools seem to have. The cost is very reasonable for the area! The facility is clean and its a charming old house well renovated for this task.Cons: They are a bit old fashioned with their food and their curriculum but what else can you say when it works well! My child is happy, calm and learning....what more could you want as a parent?(BTW: The mandatory nap time actually isnt 2 hour, its 1.5 hr and it just applies to the youngest children. Naps have been shown essential for learning in preschoolers and that would be a STATE regulation, not a preschool policy therefore any licensed daycare must offer naps to that age group. So if you have a complaint about required naps take it up with the STATE instead of criticizing a school publicly for actually following the law.)

Both of my children have been enrolled at The Childrens Development Center and I am very happy, as are both of my children. The teachers are very well educated and trained, very loving and caring people. Gina runs a very well maintained, clean, organized preschool/daycare, and I am very pleased with my familys experience. Thank you to Gina and all the teachers for helping us raise great kids!

I currently have two children attending the Childrens Development Center of Bozeman and we love it! We discovered the CDC when we were looking for a place for my son to go who is now a first grader. The CDC hires great, well educated teachers and has a good teacher/student ratio. Theyre curriculem seems spot on with what the kids need to know prior to going to kindergarten. The kids get to move around to different stations throughout the day instead of being stuck in a single classroom. Theres a room dedicated to art, so we receive a lot of treasures and get to see the growth and improvement throughout the year. The playground is quite large with lots of equipment and is completely fenced in. The CDC owns a bus, so the summertime is filled with lots of field trips! I would highly recommend the Childrens Development Center of Bozeman to anyone looking for a great place to take your children!

Both of my children go to CDC of Bozeman, and I couldnt be happier. I switched my oldest when he was 3 1/2, and I switched my youngest the second her turned 2. My youngest went from saying no more than two words, to counting to 10 within a month. The staff is easy to speak to, and obviously have my childrens best intentions at heart. They not only have a wonderful curriculum, but they do a ton of fun things with the children to keep them motivated and engaged. I wish I had learned about CDC when my oldest was 2, because I would have enrolled him from the beginning. He went to Kindergarten this fall, and is excelling socially as well as academically (reading and math specifically) and I owe CDC for preparing him. I couldnt be happier with our choice of this excellent school. I would recommend it to anyone.

I absolutely love this preschool! Both of my children have attended CDC and they absolutely love it there! My older daughter still begs me to go there in the summer because it’s so much fun! They take them swimming at Bogert pool and on so many other fun field trips and they own their own bus equipped with seat belts. They always have enough teachers to kids and the teachers are all so sweet and caring. During the school year they really teach the kids and prepare them to be kindergarten ready. My older daughter is reading at top level and is also at the top level in math. Both of my girls were also taught to have good manners and be respectful at the CDC. Their curriculum is top notch and the employees and owner, Gina, are the best in town! They also provide a nutritious homemade lunch and provide 2 snacks. And their outside play area is filled with playground equipment for the kids to play on. The indoors has so many toys and countless activities to keep the kids entertained and engaged at all times. It is also a very clean and organized establishment. The kids move around the school to different centers so they are not stuck in one area all day and the teachers clean the tables before the next class comes in. They are also big on hand washing and sanitize the nap mats daily and require you to bring your child’s nap sheet and blanket home every Friday to wash it. The employees are all degreed teachers and are all incredibly compassionate and warm. Gina is a wonderful, compassionate, intelligent and caring human being and she is an excellent role model. She has done so much for me and my family. I wouldn’t want my kids to be anywhere else. I truly love this place and everyone who works there and I know they love the kids and take very good care of them. And best of all my kids absolutely LOVE going there so that speaks for itself. 5 stars!! We love you CDC!

My daughter started attending this facility at age 2.5 and will attend through age 6 due to some developmental delays surrounding her being a preemie. THE STAFF HERE HAVE BEEN AWESOME. My child has gone from behind peers her age to the same or ahead in the years she has been at this school. The 6 month reviews have been a great tool to keep everyone on the same page as she has grown and faced some challenges. This school recommended some additional programs in the area that they felt would be a good fit, and have actively worked to accommodate those professionals onsite so that my daughter could receive extra care and attention prior to starting regular school. They have been a blessing and my daughter loves her school and her friends and looks forward to coming every day. She can write all her letters, count to 100 and do first grade level reading exercises, more importantly, she has been taught manners and basic school functions like lining up. I dont know what I would have done without this preschool. Im a single mom and knowing that my child has had a great level of care and attention these past few years has been stress relieving. I would recommend this pre-school to ANYONE, and after 4 years I am thankful this is where I placed my daughter.

My guess is, whoever wrote the last review or two was a scam or employed by the facility because the review wrote 5 years ago sure does seem to ring true today!!The facility is dirty, crowded, the food is not very kid friendly and without basic PB&J alternatives (so your child is going to be hungry), portions are also very small, some staff seem to raise their voices at the children too sternly, 2+ hour naps are mandatory despite the age of the child without any alternatives (i.e. books, play room, or movie time) except to try and lay still or be threatened to have the covers pulled over your head for 2 hours, the curriculum they push is dated overly simplistic and bland, there is basically no creative free play time (which healthy children need) or any free access to interesting toys, the staff are allusive and overly paranoid about parents digging deeper into the program or showing up unexpectedly to check in. If your child needs to be shaped into a bland uneventful robot or drone and/or is used to that sort of thing then the CDC is for you. Otherwise, I would suggest an alternative placement.

I loved this place! We are a military family and have been gone over a year and my son still talks about his teachers and what he learned there. He started when he was three and the school he is at now credits his previous center for his great head start in the classroom. At this center, they were very school oriented which is what I wanted, but without the extreme cost. The staff is friendly and great on communicating with you about your child. I highly recommend this preschool to anyone! I highly disagree with the previous statement by jane doe-I even had my son at another preschool in Bozeman before the CDC and was very unsatisfied. The facility is not dirty and they always post the menu of the kids foods for the day. My son never took a 2 hour nap and we always showed up unexpectedly to pick up our son. I find the previous post to be very inaccurate with the experience we had with the CDC-and I consider myself a diva parent.
