The track at BIR is the same as it has been and it is a good track, but a lot of the magic of the performance driving school has gone away with a loss of Gary Curtis there. The new guy has done some things as far as track improvements that have gone a long ways and I appreciate that, But the driving instruction has dropped off hugely and they do not have enough driving instructors for the people participating in the school. The price has also gone up $75 per session to to $415 for the track day since last year which is really all it is because there is very little instruction available due to the limited number of instructors. Also, most of the instructors are out of there by 2:30 PM or so anyway so youre basically just driving with the flag people by yourself on the track which to me does not seem much like a driving school at all.

Fantastic day with great instructors. You will see all types of people and cars here, from street cars to experienced drivers. Groups get split into 3 skill levels so you always feel in control. I would highly recommend doing one of the numerous courses they offer.

One of my boyfriend favorite place to go. We try to come here every year so he can drive his Corvette here. He loves it!!!!. He is so happy like a kid on a candy store. We will continue to make this trip every year as long as we can. He well deserve it!. They have the 2.5 miles and 3.10 miles. Be sure to check the time when they open the 3.1.

By far the best experience you can find in Minnesota. This well organized school is extremely safe with different classes for different track experience grouping beginners, intermediate, and advanced drivers. For beginners you would expect this to be an intimidating class to take on, however you will soon find your comfort after you first half hour on the track. You can bring your own car or you can drive a ford spec racer. I have a new higher performance car and I can tell you the ford spec racer is one of the most fun cars you can drive and is extremely easy to drive. If you can shift a car you can attack the track in this car. It is very confident inspiring. The day is amazing, and you will get a ton of track time! There are always a dozen plus instructors that are all willing to jump in and give you training to help you learn the race line. The learning curve of performance driving makes this sport extremely addictive. You are constantly picking up speed and confidence. The learning curve is endless! Also one of the only hobbies you can take on and truly unplug from the world. This is an experience that you will not forget and for some it will become a new hobby that you simply cant get enough of. I have done it all, a car at speed is manageable for all, yet so addictive as you continue to absorb the knowledge given at these events and become more and more comfortable and of course faster. Gary and his team put on an amazing show that everyone has to try at least once in their life.

My 16 year old son just completed the Street Smarts one day class and I couldnt be more pleased with this wonderful group of instructors. The whole day was so well planned and organized. I felt my Son learned many new ways to stay safe on the road and am so glad he got the opportunity to participate in this program. I hope that many others can have the benefit of this day at the track!

Spend a day with the Specs Ford Racers. My instructor was excellent, very knowledgeable, very experienced, and made the day extremely enjoyable.
