I was a dancer for 27 years, competed nationally and saw thousands of studios perform. Ive also been to countless recitals all over Massachusetts to support various friends and their children. When it came time for my daughter to begin dancing, I knew the ONLY dance studio I would send her to was The Dance Studio of Braintree. We live in Cambridge and the hour drive each way (if there is traffic) is worth every second when I know my daughter is being taught by professionals. Not only is the studio beautiful but the training begins at the very beginning of these dancers lives. They learn the value of respecting their bodies, having pride in their appearance and they are taught dance correctly, classically. I know sending my daughter to this studio that I am not risking an injury due to poor teaching and a lack of training on the teachers part. Their performances are perfection -- the children know their dances, they are beautiful to watch and the costume detail is unmatched! I have seen many professional shows that do not leave me with the same feeling as I have when I leave a DSOB performance. Lastly, my child LOVES it. She is excited to go to class each week, she has met wonderful girls and young women who I am proud to have my daughter aspire to be like.
