This is a great school for my child, she absolutely loves it here, she loves the friends she has made being that we moved from up north, she loves her teachers, she loves all the cool events they have. Its safe to say she loves school because of Brooker. The only thing I believe needs improvement is that this school needs a better morning system to get kids into the building. Kids are late almost everyday sometimes because the morning process is so slow. Once people are in the parking lot, theres pretty much only 5 or 6 children being let out at a time, and theres a line of cars that lasts a few blocks away. People get here on time in the morning before we all have to get to our jobs and by the time we get to the parking lot it is after 8 am and at that point your child has to be tardy. Thats not fair if you are on the back of this 6 block long line everyday. People wait on this line everyday for up to 15-20 minutes everyday sometimes. It should not take that long to drop off your child far school in the morning.

It seems to be a good school. I just dont like the fact that there is no morning host. In our household both parents work and the morning is the toughest because there isnt a place to drop our kids off. Coming from riverview and the school having am and pm it seemed as if they did care about the families.

Buses are never on time. Overall, the school is ok but I dislike my sons teachers. Not too fond with the way homework is sent home (single pages ripped from a book) and the teachers are the worst when it comes to communicating. They could do better

Read school goes up thru 6th but it does NOT. Last grade is 5th. The education at this school is AWFUL. I have or my child have had any negative feelings of any of my childs teachers in personality. The problem is the education plan they are required to teach. I feel horrible for I really have no means (financially) to be able to get her a better education. I feel this school has created a harm to her abilities for elementary school years are the years that where the child developes their core foundation of which they have to build upon. The foundation should be strong made up of BASIC FACTS. After having the basic FACTS one can then build and develope critical thinking skills having a better understanding and the ability to analyze. With out the knowledge of the root THE BASIC FACTS one will struggle and be confused. This school does not teach spelling that one needs to memorize. Does not make one memorize the FACTS of simple addition bor to count by 2s, 3s, 5s or 10s. Does not memorize the multiplication tables. Which makes subtration and division problems longer and harder for one to achieve the correct answer. Because the students are not forced into having to memorize these basic facts, the child becomes arguementive when parent tells them to stating the teacher said its not necessary. Its really terrible! Ive discussed this with the schools principal as well to much saddness the principal believes this progressed way of teaching is great and that no child gets left behind. Well no child may not be left behind for the simple fact of truth in this is the education needed for one to pass is far less than the knowledge gained in the years before! They want to teach critical thinking before knowing the most basic of facts. How can one ever analyze and hold critical thinking with out having anything true in means of some simply facts first? Children in elementary should not even be concerned with digital technology for they should be learning the core of which are the facts and the roots. My child is JUST NOW at 1/2 way thru the 5th grade being taught how to add with decimal!! Am I kidding? I wish so but with anger I must say I am NOT. I learned myself thru public school about decimals in second grade as we wete taught how to count money. In tbe third grade we learned how to add and subtract money without using paper. Meaning we knew how to count ones change back! Ex. Something of purchased totalling a cost of $7.75 and one pd with a ten. We learned to give a quarter to equal 8 and then two more dollars to equal the ten. So then the change given was $ 2.25 the begining of learning decimals!! Not waiting til grade 5 and still not knowing how to count back ones change!!! How does a child continue in reading when not taught to spell and sounding out words and using syllables???? This is just terrible..... As well as I believe very harming and stunts ones ability.
