Our daughter attended Le Chaperon Rouge for one month before we switched daycares. I have nothing but good things to say about her regular teachers, they were very kind, loving and seemed to genuinely care for the little ones. The center is colorful, has lots of space for the little ones to play and many activities. Our concern, and the reason we removed our daughter was the lack of administration as well as the care and attention received after regular business hours. The director (who I believe is new, Im not sure because it was never communicated to us) is only there during regular business hours. Being a working parent, we were dropping our daughter off around 6:30/7:00AM and picking up around 6PM. There is no director or assistant there during that time. The daycare has a finger print security system, however in the month we were there it failed several different times. Again, during the hours we normally would drop off or pick up, there is no director or other employee to let parents in. On several occasions we would stand and ring the door bell, so that someone exiting the building could let us in.Communication between parent and teachers was excellent, with live updates and a detailed report at the end of the day. However, communication between administration and parents is poor. Attached are pictures as examples. When there was a fire drill, we were notified after the fact via post it note. When the bus was smoking, parents were notified via hand written note. To me, this is not professional or appropriate means of communication. On several occasions, we pick up our daughter and she was covered in food, her onesie unbuttoned and hanging out of her pants, and missing a sock. One of these things doesnt bother me, even all of these things one time doesnt bother me. But within a month it happened three times. After picking her up, we would have to head straight home so that I could get her cleaned up. In addition, I witnessed other teachers screaming at the children in the hallways play area. Again, I dont think this level of care took place with her regular teachers while the administration was present, but we did question what went on later in the day. Finally, a menu was provided prior to our registration, so I cannot blame this on the care center. However, I did not see it as appropriate to feed our 1 year old items like pizza and salad (8/31), sweet potato fries (8/16) and tator tots (multiple occasions).Overall, this was not the right fit for us. For the price of tuition, I feel more comfortable with my child attending a care center where administration is present at all times, and parents are kept well informed.

We love our LCR Day care!My daughter has been going there since she was 18 months old, now she is over 3 years old. The teachers and director are loving, caring and treating kids as they own. My daughter had a separation anxiety at the beginning , so each time I dropped her, her teacher comforted her and held her. It meant a lot to me, I felt at ease knowing that she is in the safe, nurturing place. She has learned so much: numbers, letters, shapes, colours. There are so many activities for children: circle time, reading books, dancing, gymnastics, painting, writing, water days in the summer and fun with the snow in the winter. The classes are spacious and clean with lot of toys and books. Day care provides breakfast, lunch and snacks.LCR staff is doing great job following their Covid-19 protocol. Can’t think about better place and people to take care of my daughter while I am at work.

My niece has been in Le chaperon rouge for almost 3 years now and it’s an amazing place. Yes they have changes but wouldn’t you want the better to come in and out with the old ? My niece had an amazing teacher in Toddler 3 and were so happy she came back ms. Diamond. She potty trained her and taught her how to trace her name count to 20 and know all of her numbers and abcs. She was so friendly and communicated so well. She’s now I’m Preschool 1 with a teach her who is advancing her so much. She’s been there since she was a baby in infant 2 and will continue to kindergarten! They are so well with keeping families updated of things that are happening through the day and your always welcomed when coming through the door. Definitely an amazing place to bring your children!

This facility is located in the forest area, very beautiful and the whole building environments are very organized. They have awesome curriculums and extra curriculums to keep the little minds sharpened and well prepared for the incoming K-grade.The K in the building is actually using the 1st grade math, so the kids are all advanced in math compared to the public K.A lovely daycare really worth a tour for you precious one.

I have recently pulled my child out of this school due to several reasons. The main concern I had was how awful my childs teacher treated me on a daily basis for drop off or pick up. She was only pleasant when another staff member was around, for show. It was nerve wracking to leave my child with her. I often wondered if I had made a horrible choice enrolling him there. They continually charge my family for services never provided even when my family was told my son was not allowed to attend. I wanted to cut ties peacefully, and they are still calling me charging for more school days they very well know they wont be providing. They claimed to have an onsite chef when we toured, and a normal daily breakfast looked like hospital cafeteria or prison food consisting of cafeteria-style scrambled eggs and a piece of bread (not even toasted). On our tour we were promised a Spanish and French curriculum. My son doesnt know one word. This school talks the talk, but certainly doesnt walk the walk. Youd be better off going to your local church for preschool/daycare at a fraction of the price.

We have been at LCR since 2015. We are very happy with the facility and staff. Our child has a lot of medical and LCR staff takes the initiative to learn how to help our child. The Director has been kind, supportive, and helpful with us and our child. The owner of LCR goes out of her way to help families and values families. She is a phenomenal woman with an extraordinary story. We are busy as parents dropping off our kids and rushing to work and then rushing to pick up our kids to get home, and we need to be reminded a thank you goes a long way to show appreciation for the staff who teach and care for our children.

It is a nice daycare in general. It was a revolving door over last few years! Most teachers are nice and nurturing. A month ago, I pulled my daughter from PreK. She doesnt like it there anymore! I also was disappointed. I heard once a child telling a mature teacher that he doesnt want to eat. The teacher responded back with a nasty attitude I DONT CARE. That is RUDE. Where is nurture? Kindness? Soft touch?Parents pay the equivalent of a monthly mortgage to send one kid there and so she gets a paycheck too! It is terrible that some people hate what they do FOR WORK yet they want a paycheck! Parents dont send their teachers to be yelled at and abused! Will never send my daughter back there! Very kind staff in neighboring childcare centers.

After speaking with former employees and witnessing first-hand the downfall of this facility, I created an anonymous account to share my experience out of fear of the potential backlash that would be shown to my child who is still enrolled here. The surrounding daycare facilities all have waitlists that were on, so its just a matter of time until I can get my child out of here. My child has been at this facility since they were a baby, and while I initially loved the care, it has gone so far downhill in the past year that I am appalled. The facility has gone through 4 directors this year alone, one of whom was let go after dealing with a life-threatening health issue. Classrooms are merged and changed, and teachers are switched out almost monthly, offering the children zero consistency. As youll see in other negative reviews, the owner is overly defensive and tries to discredit parents real concerns. All of the 5-star reviews for this facility are from employees. A quick and easy Google search will show that Darlene, for example, is one of the regional directors. My child used to be excited to come to LCR but now cries and clings to me every time I drop them off. The turnover rate is atrocious and the upper-level management bullies their staff. All the teachers we truly loved have left, and its now a constant rotation of new faces. I honestly dont even know who is in charge of this facility anymore because the last director left about a month ago--after only being there for 3 weeks. Look elsewhere--your child deserves better.

I would not recommend bringing your kids here. Especially babies. Tons of sick little ones, with hardly any staff. Sharing pacifiers is unacceptable, no matter how you clean it. My son stayed sick the entire time he went here.

My daughter had a great experience at this facility for Pre-K, Summer Camp, and Kindergarten. The curriculum was challenging just enough for her to succeed and gain confidence. She needed a lot of attention at first, and every single teacher was there for her emotionally. My daughter even became a better eater from the home style meals they provided. She learned lots of of Spanish and sang lots of songs in French. She loved being involved in the optional Dance, Gymnasts, and Karate. My daughter loved her teacher, Miss Sheryl so much that she missed her on off days. Miss Sheryl even attended my daughters 5th birthday party, and brought her coloring books and crayons. The director was very understanding about my special needs and requests. I felt completely comfortable leaving my daughter when I went to work. I was able to call at any time to check on her, and they reassured me that my daughter was doing well every time I needed to know. The director was also very fair financially. She followed their promise and took money off of our tuition a few times when we were on vacation, even with little or no advanced notice. When my daughter had a problem with another child they handled it quickly and professionally. This facility was everything that I needed it to be and more. I often told the entire staff including the owner how thankful I was for them all. The Christmas program and Graduation program was the high light of my little angels early years in school. I loved those ladies to pieces. Not to mention they have top notch first aid training! I would pick them again in a heartbeat. Many Thanks,Mrs. Tosado
