Scholars Academy has been a godsend for our two boys throughout this last year. We joined when they re-opened early 2021 and are so glad we did! This has been a safe, positive and healthy outlet for the kids to come to and I really feel it has helped them deal with all the emotions theyve been experiencing lately. They are able to productively release any stress through the more physical aspects of the sport, as well as learn valuable skills like meditation and form which teach them to control themselves at the same time. Its a great balance and exactly what they have needed during these times. We are looking forward to the Student Community Center opening in the near future and cant wait to see what other greatness that brings!

Excellent service! The instructors are amazing. It is family owned and Is family oriented. They offer free classes/workout for parent and child every Tues and Thursday which is always fun. The place is clean, spacious, and well lit. There’s always other activities outside the class. My child is showing more maturity since he started attending the class. I have all praises for the owners.

My son has been going to Scholar Academy for a few years now. He absolutely loves it and has learned so much. The owner is a great teacher who really cares about his community and the kids he is teaching. Great place! Highly recommend!

We are still new but they welcomed my4 kiddos and made them feel comfortable and my kids LOVE IT!Their confidence is building every day and knowing self defense is big breath of relief as a parent and for anyone really.So glad we found this place they areAWSOME👊🏼👍🏽😃

Scholars Academy is a great place to get kids out of the house and get involved in something other than a TV screen. The kids have tons of fun in class while also learning discipline. Everyone there are super nice and welcoming. It’s so much more than learning how to kick and punch. The kids learn how to defend themselves while also learning how to become better people. They even tell the kids every day that they have one job and that is to make their parents proud. I would recommend anyone that wants their kids to grow as people while also learning some martial arts to check out scholars academy.

I absolutely love adult kickboxing at Scholars Academy. The coaches are encouraging and push you to be the best versions of yourself. Place is super clean and staffs are very friendly. By far the best martial arts place in Brentwood, definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get in shape and learn self defense.

I have been to a couple of dojos in the bay area and this is by far the best one. I enrolled my 2 boys (a tween and a teen) and they ABSOLUTELY love it. Mr. Baker provides them with the fundamentals for their physical, mental and personal growth. The kids are taught to make their parents proud and be good kids all-around. The training is good enough to get them in great shape while focusing on agility and the form. Mrs. Baker is as wonderful as her husband so are their kids, all attending, the classes. The customer service and professionalism are top of the notch. The facility is well-detailed and very clean. They sanitize the place daily and regularly, and are highly compliant re: COVID-19 safety measures. How am I just discovering this place is my question? All the kids and teenagers should attend Scholar Academy of Brentwood. Get these kids and teens off the streets and get them a training to set them up for life success.

Clean, friendly, and family-oriented! My family has worked with Scholar’s Academy since its beginning years ago, and the relationships we’ve made with Mr. Baker and the staff truly make them feel like extended family! They are trustworthy and genuine, and are a constant in our lives.

The students are very helpful and patient and they are also encouraging and help you to take your time unlike other karate classes. The people are really kind and helpful and also the best part is that you can make good friends here and everything is super organized and cleaned compared to other karate classes and the students and teachers are really helpful with being the best part that its near Kumon, and you will love it here.

Go here because you’ll learn realistic techniques you can use to defend yourself or someone else. You’ll get the most bang for your buck compared to any other place in the East Bay Area. Great for all ages whether you’re a child, teen, or adult.

Scholars Academy is great place for our kids to learn martial, build chatacter and leadership skills. Staffs are very polite and professional. They really encourages kids to be better citizen through positive enforcement.

This is more than karate or martial arts dojo. They work with our kids to learn martial arts but also address their character and encourage them to overcome any self doubt. The money spent to go here is an investment into your childrens personal growth.

This is a very good gym in all scales. What you learn is very effective. The staff is very nice. And its always being cleaned. I would highly recommend going here to learn how to kick butt!

As parents we try our best to teach our kids perseverance, courage, dedication, accountability, confidence, etc. But if you want a place where your kids can LEARN all these things, Scholars Academy is the place! Sensei Baker creates an environment where our kids give everything theyve got both inside and outside the dojo. I really appreciate that he takes time to review how his students are behaving at home, and performing at school and extracurriculars.Sensei Baker does not sugarcoat his approach as he pushes his students to be their absolute best. He wants them to give everything theyve got and knows how to lift their spirits.One of our children is autistic and Scholars Academy has gone above and beyond to bring out the best in him. My children have never been more happier. The strong character that this place builds in their students translates into everything they do! I really like how the advanced students do their best to help the novice and freshmen students. The support system here is incredible and you will find no place better. This place was the best thing that happened to us and we are grateful we found it.

My son LOVES Tiger Rock! He has done soccer and t-ball in the past, but he could never focus and there wasnt any structure. We did a free trial at Tiger Rock and Mr. Baker and his employees were amazing! My son loves going there and is always pushing to be the *kid of the day.* Mr. Baker is firm with the kids which is exactly what my son needed. His confidence has grown so much!

My boys love the Scholars Academy. They are able to stay focused and have fun though the entire class. Although we are fairly new they are already striving to do better and better in each class. Its a great welcoming environment where not only do you see kids excited to attend their classes but you also see more kids doing their homework and reading then on electronic devices!!!! Its soo refreshing!

Tiger-Rock is amazing! Mr. Baker puts so much quality time and effort into each and every child. He is an amazing role model, instructor and educator! Our son has grown so much in so many ways here and is gaining so much confidence! Its hands down the best place for your child to be.

I have 2 Children who train with Mr.Baker. You wont find a better Instructor and Tournament Coach that cares for each and every one of his Students like his own. Tiger Rock is a unique academy, filled with experienced and dedicated instructors. A great place to take your kids to learn discipline, focus, self-control, team leadership, or just to get in shape. They have a flowing structure, have 6 classes a week to attend at your convenience, and offer free homework assistance to all their members!

I feel like Bruce Lee because every time Mr. Baker teaches new techniques he teaches it so well that even as a beginner youd look and feel like a pro.

Mr. Baker is hands down the best tutor anyone could ask for! Sadly, our daughter doesn’t get to see him anymore because we moved out of state but we all still value the lessons he shared.
