I was visiting from out of town and wanted to hit this gym as it was highly recommended to me from a few upper belts that I regularly train with. I was super stoked about the space and the environment and most importantly, the coach and regular community were super welcoming. I was able to roll safely and get some direct instruction despite being new and participating as a visitor. I highly recommend this spot for locals of any level and if you’re passing through make sure to check it out.

I cant say enough great things about Profectus bjj Brentwood. My daughter trains there and it has been nothing but amazing for her. Not only are all the staff very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional but the people who train there are all so nice, so the gym has a nice family atmosphere. I am totally comfortable having my daughter train there. The sense of community within the gym has not only made my daughter feel welcome but has done wonders for my daughters confidence and skill development.

For starters, i’m a teenage girl, and i have a really hard time and some gyms because of the environment. but this gym was great! the environment was super professional but friendly, and i don’t feel like the odd one out. their classes are easy to comprehend, as the coaches explain things thoroughly. i go consistently and love it.

I am completely new to jiu jitsu, so I went in with no expectations.... this place is INCREDIBLE. As soon as you walk in you can feel how strong the community is here. The instructors are highly experienced and able to teach to any level. It doesnt matter your experience level, your age, or your gender- you will love it here.

Profectus was the second academy for jiu jitsu that i ever attended. When i visited, i knew it was a high level gym based off of the techniques i was receiving from not only the Professor of the academy, but as well as the upper belts that train there. Everyone one there is so friendly and it just feels like tight community of people that always have their arms open ready to receive any new comers. At Profectus. It doesn’t matter how good or bad you are at jiu jitsu. It’s a perfect gym if you are just looking for a hobby to stay in shape or if you’re looking to be a competitor at the highest level possible. Additionally, Profectus seeks to help each student grow not only in jiu jitsu, but as a person.

Great gi gym in Brentwood. I went to the Sunday class and learned a lot. The professor was well spoken and helpful. The rolls were tough but everyone was super nice. The space was large and clean and air conditioned. 10/10 would recommend!!

High level coaching in a friendly atmosphere

This is an incredible school with tremendous instructors. I mainly attend the morning (7:00am) class with Coach Brian, and I cannot recommend it enough. He is technical, knowledgeable and patient, and knows how to develop at all skill levels. I started training 3 months ago, and from day 1 felt welcomed and included. This is the place to go for top notch, technical training in a family like environment.

Best gym in the area by far. A great gym to start your Jiu Jitsu training and an even better gym to train at long term. Great culture and approach to teaching that is focused and fun at the same time. Instructors encourage questions and discussion and are eager to share their knowledge (which is very deep).

I attended a free introductory class here. The coaches are great. The dojo is very clean and well taken care of. Everyone was very respectful and kind. I felt very much at home. I will go back.

Im always nervous about trying gyms when I travel because you can never guess the culture based off their website. I can honestly say this is one of the best gyms Ive ever been to. Professor Fayyaz led both classes I went to and he was awesome. Answered any and all questions. The higher belts were super cool and didnt hesitate to ask me (a white belt) to roll. Over all a great experience. I will definitely stop in again if I ever make my way to Nashville again!

Had the opportunity to train there when i was in town for work a year or so back. Prof. Akin is a humble guy, really cool and very inviting. felt right at home.atmosphere is laid back and the school is SUPER CLEAN. had some hard but playful rolls. hoping to train there again if im back in TN for work in the future.

I visited while in Nashville for the holidays, and had a blast! They are a very welcoming group of people, and perfect training partners. I received some very knowledgeable technique and shared some great rolls while there! Will definitely be back when in town.

My wife and I check out gyms in every city we travel to, this has been one of my favorite. We attended Jeremys noon fundamentals class, and I was able to tighten up my leg drag quite a bit. It was very nice to see another style of instruction, with concepts I will be able to bring back to my own students.I definitely recommend it.

Extremely direct and hands on training. I went in completely new to BJJ and they walked me through step by step all the moves we were working on that day, with purple and black belts correcting the common mistakes I was making. Aside from the fantastic teaching, everyone there, both teachers and students, are very open, kind, and understanding with each other.Mats are very clean and the place is very open and breezy.One of the most fun and educating places I’ve ever been.

Awesome experience. A few co-workers and I asked to drop in during a business trip and were made to feel welcome. The instruction was top notch and the facility was clean and organized. I am solutely love this gym. I went to the morning class and the instructor was very knowledgeable and treated me like I was a member of the gym. He extensively worked with me to flush out every detail with a technique he showed us in the morning. He was truly a professional and gave some great feedback. I’ve been training here for 5 years now and this is by far the best gym I have ever trained in. There is always a good vibe here. Everyone is willing to help anyone that comes through the door. Signed up for the free class on their website, someone called within an hour so I could train the very same day. Everyone in the room was extremely friendly, great atmosphere, and excellent mix of athleticism and technique in the room. Facilities and mats were clean. Only drawback, they require a white gi.

I have been training here for nearly 7 years. Having traveled to many gyms I have yet to come across one with the same level of instruction and welcoming atmosphere. I couldn’t imagine calling any other gym my home.

Jeremy is by far the best jiu-jitsu instructor Ive ever trained with out of the many gyms Ive been to while traveling for business. Within 3 months of training with Jeremy, I lost a ton of weight and went on to win a Silver medal at my first Jiu-jitsu competition. I have been training at Brentwood BJJ for 2 years now. I have been an athlete my whole life and still compete at an elite level in another sport. I have never experienced anything as gratifying as learning BJJ. I became a fan watching Royce Gracie back in the early UFC days. I was pleasantly surprised upon walking in how friendly an atmosphere there is. No macho egos and crazy people. Just nice, intelligent men and women learning an awesome sport!
