Three years later I decide to leave a review after I got into modelling for free. I’m 5’11” have all what it takes to be a model. I moved here 4 years ago by myself. Was not even 21 when I got to their modelling call. They liked me and offered to be a model. I had to pay deposit, I think at that time it was around 600$ ( which was tons of money for me at that time , as I was leaving by myself in foreign country, without parents or anyone to support me). Then I went to Amax modelling agency and they told me I’m the one who should be paid and signed contract with me. When I came back to John Casablancas to ask for return of my deposit they refused to do that. Please, don’t use their services, it’s total scam!!! After 3 years I still feel so bad that I didn’t insist on returning my money, that was the whole month budget to me for receiving absolutely nothing because I was little scared girl to do that. Do your research before you sign any contracts. if you do decide to go forward with the process and you want to cancel the money is already taken out your bank account and you have 3 days to cancel. in the 3 days you have to type or write a cancellation letter with your name and how you paid for the schooling. i wanted to do it but i read to many bad reviews (after i paid) yeah dumb. but its a learning experience for me. so READ READ READ! John Casablancas is a great place to learn, grow, share, and meet people. I have met many people with great personalities in my classes and every session Ive come out with something new that Ive learned and something to work on. Of course, no place is perfect, and John Casablancas do have areas for improvement. However all in all, its a great place to learn and they deliver on their promises. In all honesty, I’ve only been attending for three weeks now, but I have never met more lively and ambitious people in all my life. The atmosphere just screams “let’s rock this!”. Everyone is wonderful to work with and super easy to talk to. This place is the structural embodiment of “dream big and chase after those dreams”. Learning is made fun, and turning their students into professionals is made the number one priority. So much love for this place and the wonderful people who make all of this possible!

I’m going to make this short and sweet. I auditioned with JC about a month ago. Myself, and 2 other cousins all auditioned together. One of my cousins was not prepared whatsoever and still made it, in fact, all of us did. I bet you every single person who auditioned made it. Why? Because this entire company revolves around money! Don’t even get me started on the audition method itself. I have auditioned for huge productions and the audition is ALWAYS private. One on one with you and the auditor. When I auditioned, I had to audition with/ in front of 12+ other people. NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL. After we got the call that I had “made it” and I was “one of the best” they INSISTED on $1450 UPFRONT! I respect that they give you class, this that and the other, but upfront with no cancelation! What is most frustrating is that I auditioned because they said they were an agency and agencies get you jobs. Not classes. I have read up on JC even after my audition and I’m not the first person to realize they aren’t all what they seem. I also know they’re going to have some smart elicit remark/ response to this post, but no matter how they defend themselves, know that this place only wants your money and is not looking out for your child nor your child’s future. Go to somewhere legitimate and worth your time.

Ive been affiliated with this agency for over a year now. Ive developed a lot in my self confidence. The director and all of the staff are driven and very helpful. My daughter has been going here for about 7 months she absolutely loves it! They have helped boost her confidence and come out of her shell! We love the Energy and all the love they show her! All they want is your money, and as long as you keep paying, they’ll keep telling you what you want to hear.Anyone can join. You’re not going to be the next superstar. It’s all money money money. You have to pay to join, and, no surprise, you have to pay to withdraw. Stop paying and you’ll see how different they treat you. This is not legit. It’s the best scam. I should’ve listened to and gone with all of the bad reviews I read before investing all of my money in nothing. Money gone straight to waste. Don’t fall for it. There are better and real agencies out there. JC people are very good at sweet talking you into emptying your pockets.

Well I just recently started and it seems like really cool place to be and the energy is always good. They are an modeling and talent agency but Id rather do modeling. They are trying to push me out of my comfort zone in a good way because once I get into it Ill have to get myself out there by doing commercials. But its kinda like Im paying for classes that I already some what know about.. but Im trying to stay positive and wait for my time!!

John Casablancas is a beautiful establishment from which top Actors and Models arise from. The first day down the runway I was thinking of what everyone else thought of me. Now I think about how much I ROCK! Self confidence and a love for who I am became instilled in me through each class..... from the teachers, who cared to Matthias, who believed that everyone was truly a “Rockstar” before they even knew it.

This is a place where you can actually have a real feel of the modeling and acting agency, they are training me for 3 years and I love the environment, and they don’t sell you dreams they tell you things how the actually are, and classes are extremely fun and I learn a lot!

When i first signed up i was a little scared to take the leap and work with John Casablancas...BUT THANK GOD I DID. This place is a game changer, i learned tons and got great modeling and acting experiences. They got me out of my comfort zone and got me out of my shy shell. If you signed up...good move. I absolutely LOVED this center. They are under a new management and staff team. I had so much fun at my audition and the staff kept everyone happy and entertained.The staff there are all in high spirits constantly and are so much fun to work with. Matthias is the director over there and he is absolutely amazing and very informative.He is very personable person and he has made me believe even more in myself then i did when i first walked through their doors. He will treat you with the respect you deserve. He will not promise to work with you if he cant and he will not promise anything that he can not achieve or help achieve.I was unable to sign with them due to school expenses but i had a wonderful experience while i was there and would love to go back and maybe get signed on with them in the future. i would definitely recommend MATTHIAS and his staff any day of any week. I went in for an audition, and I was very impressed with the process. They were very professional on that part. I got a call back, and after explaining to me all that they would do during their training, I was presented with a price tag that I was not able to pay at that time, nor was I expecting to have to pay that much within such a short amount of time. After spending a lot of time thinking it over and weighing all my options, I had to come to the conclusion that I simply could not afford to be a part of this at this time, so I denied. After I told them I was financially unable to be a part of this, the woman that explained everything to me - who was very friendly at first - rescheduled me to come back, turned to her computer and refused eye contact the rest of the time I was there. After she wrote a few things down, the last thing she told me was that the exit was to the left, and it wasnt in a polite way either - basically telling me to leave.As far as auditions went, they were very serious and professional about it, but when I was unable to give them money and be a part of their team, they refused to even look at me and basically told me to get out - which is extremely unprofessional and inappropriate for an agency who claims they will become like family. Its quite hard to see that family side when the workers become overly dramatic when you are financially unable to afford their classes.I will not be returning to this agency, and will pursue modeling elsewhere. I wont support this kind of behavior, especially in a professional agency.

I got signed to the agency last month and ever since I feel like Ive been living my dream. Still being bugged by the collections company I was sent to for having to pay to withdraw from this ridiculous program. Honestly this place seemed great at first. When I went in she was really sweet to me and my mom. She told me I had a great smile etc and then about a week or 2 later her true colors showed. She basically tells you what you want to hear to get you to pay thousands of dollars right from the start. So that if after you decide to leave... you just been screwed out of thousands. After two weeks of going there she was very disrespectful to me and to my mom as well. She would pull me out of class or if I was in the hall she would say things to me that were very rude. Not to include I was size 1 and she told me I still had to lose weight ..... personally I think this place brings you down and makes you feel bad about your appearances and who you are as a person. Regardless if you decide to go there or your child does... always check on your kids and see how there Day was and If they are being treated right.

Its a cool experience to have you meet new people each class. There is modeling and acting. They help you come out of your comfort zone, its kinda scary at first but once you get in there its not that bad you will start to loosen up.

So honestly when I first started I was so excited about this place cause since I was little all I could think about is being a model and now I can’t think of anything else I’d rather do. And this place is honestly VERY expensive and yea there’s 30 classes and all but I’m only here for the modeling portion but I still had to obviously take every class including the acting even though I didn’t care anything about it but that’s besides the point. I wish we could choose which classes we wanted rather than sitting through a class we weren’t interested in. Although, my main thing is that I really have good experiences here it’s just idk what I’m gunna get out of it in the end? I know there a Facebook page that posts jobs but but I went to a few and the weren’t something that was gunna get me anywhere they were a bit sketch. I just wish JC had better opportunities for us. I would like for you guys to actually help us get amazing opportunities for modeling gigs. Because I would LOVE to go to IMTA but you have to be chosen and I just feel some people have it better than others.

The first thing I need to say about this place is that you will get out of it what you put in. EVERYONE here has been nothing but kind and understanding of my budget, of my learning disabilities, and my schedule. I have been with JC for about 3 months now and I have yet to have a bad experience with them. They are very professional. In 3 months of missing one class my confidence has improved, I stand up straight in public, and I have new good friends. In 60 hours over 30 weeks these people uplift your self esteem, teach you how to keep your body HEALTHY, and also teach you how to be successfull in acting and modeling. Overall JC has been a wonderful investment, and made a fantastic impact on me and others.

This place is definitely a scam! Took all 3 of my kids to one of their auditions and guess what??! Haha, all 3 got call backs, went to the second interview and......... Yep you guessed it, they wanted like $7k for just my daughter that is ALREADY SOCIAL MEDIA FAMOUS. WE DEFINITELY RAN AWAY!!! My kids have been on tour and all! PLEASE dont get SCAMMED BY THESE PEOPLE!

All about money. We missed a few sessions and got a notice saying if we didnt return we would be sent to collections. Please dont waste ur time......No the letter stated if you did not make a payment within the next 30 days you will be sent to collections .....not we missed you please return to class. #Joke

I would of rated it a 4/5 but it’s a 3/5 for me. DONT get me wrong, This is not a bad company or anything! It’s great and all. Like, it’s actually really professional. But I came in late because 1, I’m in Smyrna TN dealing with a doctors appointment about my mental health. 2, there’s a lot of traffic lights n it’s a 27 minute drive to where I am. So I had to check up and text my mom WHEN I got there so she knew where I was at locationally and by the time I got in. There was a women on the phone and I didn’t want to bother her / interrupt her. But she automatically knew who I was. And it took 4-5 minutes to get my talent pass. One of my friends called me on via FaceTime so I picked up and was about to say I’ll call you back later because I was here to get my education on. when I got to my class (B) pretty much sure the women was a makeup teacher and it was session number 6. She look at me and ask me if I was here for class, so I was like yes, before I was going to apologize for being late. This teacher gave me mean look and had the most toxic attitude towards me but she told me to Reschedule so I didn’t really say anything but looked at her than walked to the hall with the pictures. My friend, still on FaceTime tells me, “ she must be really salty because she seems mad. “ that teacher put me on the spot. To all the other students that looked at me. With her attitude about me being late because of a doctors appointment really got my mental health down. Plus I work 2 jobs and I have college exams that are knocking down my health too- but this teacher knocked my self confidence, my mental health, my self esteem, and embarrassed me in-front of everyone in that class. so I texted Ms. Taylor to push my whole reschedule to November because my mental health is super bad now and I’ll like to focus on it but she hasn’t answered.BUT on the positive side. I really do think the classes are fun and very whole some and they teach you a lot of important and helpful things you can do in the future! They don’t make you feel left out when you play games so it feels like a group activity plus some teachers are really goofy and sweet

I worked here and also game my money to this place. they just closed and nothing was given back to me at all. That is not how you run a business. Nor did they contact me to give an explanation or allow me to go else where to take classes.

My daughter has been with JC Nashville since late April. She is enjoying the experience which the agency is providing her. I cannot thank them enough for the help they have given my daughter over these 8 months. I have seen a level of confidence within her that wasn’t there before. I believe a lot of that has to do with the classes offered and the teaching which is provided. The staff there is professional and aware of the talent within the space. The director, Matthias, is encouraging and well engaged in the talent that comes into the agency. He maintain a rapport with each individual from beginning to end. Jason is a blessing to work with, in regards to my schedule, ensuring we do not repeat classes until all classes have been taken. Seeing Haley whenever we walk in on Saturdays, with a smile on her face and the positive attitude, is a welcoming sight. All in all, the staff at John Casablanca’s Modeling and Career Center are kind and very helpful, even if they are in the middle of something they will stop and assist you with whatever is needed. Everything I am to say about this company is 100% truthful. So I’m at the mall and see the table saying John Casablanca modeling and acting agency. Now I do theatre not tv acting, but it’s nothing serious. So my mom tells me oh why don’t you just put your name down just for fun. So I do and the guy is telling me that you will get free head shots, ya da ya da ya da. A day later I get a call from Natalie at John Casablanca asking if I was serious about acting or modeling. I say no not really (because my main career focus is music) and she says okay have a nice day. Next day, same time. SAME GIRL calls me again and I say “Ma’am you called me yesterday and I said not interested.” She apologizes and hangs up. Immediately afterwards she sends me a text asking to call and set up a headshot date and time. I block the number because at this point I’m thinking it is a spam. Next day a different lady calls asking exact same question and I respond I’m not interested and hang up. I get a text immediately afterwards, same as the one before just different number. So I block the number. Now today I am very annoyed because I get a FOURTH CALL from this place. I recognize the number and don’t even answer. And what do you know? A text immediately afterwards. But this time it says I need to speak with “immediately.” I respond to the text “Not interested. JC has called me 4 times. Please remove me from your call list.” She left a voicemail, and I proceeded to block her. 4 times have they tried to contact me just for a “free headshot appointment.” I have responded politely each time not interested. I can understand spamming me if I was someone they think had true potential. But they never even met me and so because of that I have come to believe this company is a spam only wanting your money. I’m so sorry to anyone else who had had to deal with this company, because it truly annoys and frustrates me. John Casablanca, you could get serious business if you didn’t treat your customers like ATM machines. Please change your service. Thank you.

The environment at JC is one that someone could only wish to be in on a daily basis. The positivity and energy radiates and it pushes and inspires you to do and be the very best you can be. The things learned at the center not only help in your modeling/acting career but in life as a whole. I would honestly have to say that at first I was unsure of being a part of John Casablanca. You hear so many horror stories of people being taken advantage of by agencies. Nevertheless for some reason I felt like I would be missing out on THE opportunity for me to make my dreams of becoming great in the entertainment industry a reality. The scout, management, and agents seemed to be really interested as all agencies say they are, but J.Cs were different. They told me from the start, were not going to promise to make you a star, but we are willing to work just as hard as you to get you in front of the people that needs to see your talent. It was there honesty that won me over. And Im enjoying every step of the way. Plus theyre abiding by their word. Join us!

We have been with these people for almost a year, my daughter was told to rate them IMMEDIATELY so of course she rates them a 5 stars because she dont know what to rate them as of yet because she dont know them. Anyway we have had nothing but problems out of these people. I have complained for months, for someone to always tell me either it wasnt reported, or IM WRONG. ( my fav. ) I have been told I am hostile because they have been caught in LIES, and I raise my voice ( for obvious reasons) and said multiple times I am done with the conversation and hang up. This place will ALWAYS find a reason to make you look bad, wrong, or whatever to avoid returning your money. I WILL GET AN ATTORNEY if I have to with ALL my messages of proof, pictures of FALSE advertising,( including FREE portfolio, you have to pay for pictures or you wont get one ), also the satisfaction guarantee which we have not been for A LONG TIME. My daughter was also denied graduation as well so they have no reason to keep her on board and I will make sure she is removed and since I have been told no one wants to resolve this I guess I will have to go other means. This place starts off great guys don;t get me wrong, but after a couple months you will learn very quick who they really are.... THE TRUE DARK SIDE, THE CLASSROOM OF THE SCHOOL.....

The best decision I have ever made was taking my daughter to JC Nashville. Just from the acting, modeling, runway and other classes my daughter has gone from an introverted shut in, to an outgoing positive budding young model. In a little under a year owner Matthias Hussman and his amazing staff have done more for her than years of seeing a Psychiatrist. It was worth every penny to pay for the classes just on this alone. But she recently graduated and she is already building her portfolio. So to all the people posting negative comments saying JC is a scam because it is more than a talent agency, but a school also, are doing a disservice to themselves and the company. I joined John Casablancas in September. Before then, it has always been my dream to become a big star and be famous all around, and it still is. I have auditioned for agencies and acting schools before, but none of them were like JC. I came into JC with hope and reassurance. I took a deep breath and thought to myself, this is it, don’t mess it up. I walked into my audition hyper (as always) but humble, trying not to make a “big scene” no pun intended. I practiced my monologue in the bathroom mirror, squealed a little and practiced my runway walk. Once I was in front of the judge (aka Matthias, the best person ever) All my worries suddenly flushed down my body. All my worries and thoughts went away and I wanna completely focused. Hours went by and I was given a paper, I had passed. I screamed and cried a little. I started coming to class, it is so fun! We learn the do’s and don’ts, we learn about how to take care of our bodies health and appearance wise. We practice applying makeup and play games. Since I join JC, gigs have been flying at me. I have been in things like, Chick-Fil-A commercial, a film, a couture photoshoot that got me into three magazines! I have recently auditioned for some other things and I’m still waiting for feedback. All I have to say is that, no matter where you are, how y’all or short, young or old, if you are looking for a place to begin your dreams. It’s starts here. At John Casablancas!!! They are very aggressive about payments more than the talent you have to offer.Was harassed by their corporate office for delinquency until I emailed them paid receipts I saved from me paying in office onsite.i was skeptical when I started because of the high cost of classes and from personal experiences of friends and former classmates that have attended JC,they all had something negative to say about it and these are very successful people.I decided to try it out anyway,but I was rather reserved and observative and Im glad I was.They have a select few they see as marketable and promising and those are the ones they send out on creditable jobs. ...and for the rest,which is majority,If they dont see you as marketable or promising they wont tell you that but keep you at bay and string you along making you THINK youll work your way up the ladder,when in reality they see nothing in you but a profit. They profit from the ones they feel as marketable and they profit from the not so marketable .when you catch on to the scam they will manipulate you into thinking its you and not them!DO YOUR RESEARCH!you will see my truth in a lot of similar reviews in multiple states. They have helped a small few..but dont chance it because you wont know wether your being helped or not until you notice your paying out more than your making.THEY ARE HUSTLERS

I dont know how they got my number but they have called 5 times a week for the past 3 weeks with the same deal needing to take advantage and it expires today at 8pm.I have told them every time to take me off the call list. They call on a different number so blocking isnt an option. I tried. Im about to notify the police because its out of hand now.

I have been taking my daughter to JC since April of this year (2018). We were very impressed with Matthias Hussman from the beginning. He was so knowledgeable, helpful and truthful with us pertaining to any questions involving the modeling/acting industry. Every time we see him he is always so nice, friendly and personable; frequently asking if we need anything, providing many tips along with words of encouragement every step of the way. My daughter and I have also felt like part of the family with him and several others at JC including Shelby Hayes, Alexia De Senso, Nicole Beaubien, Veronica Henson Jarvis Bynum, Garrett Bogar , Josie Bumpus and Ryan which have all been so attentive, welcoming, kind and courteous. (They are all actually pretty funny too my daughter says). Our experience with JC classes in addition to auditions they have advised my daughter to attain have been exceptional! We have all praise and thankful words to express our gratitude to JC for such a phenomenal experience with something we knew very little about yet has always been a dream and a passion for my daughter. Thanks to JC and everyone involved she is achieving her dreams!

From the day I walked into the agency, I have have gained so much confidence. I am not kidding when i say the director, Matthias Hussmann, changed my life. Ive learned far more than how to model and act in their classes. Ive learned how to be successful in interviews, carry myself with grace, and find confidence I never thought I had. The staff here is so helpful and supportive, and the other students Ive met have become some of my best friends. I have so much fun whenever I walk in here and look forward to the classes every weekend. I am forever grateful for this agency for finding the talent in me and helping me get to the place I am now.

It’s the biggest scam in the world they are liers and all they want to do is take advantage of you and scam you. This is not an agency it’s a school agency’s don’t take thousands of dollars from you they only take a percentage of what you make . Stay away from them it’s a scam !!!!!!

Loved loved loved visiting the Nashville center when i came into my audtition a few days ago the girl at the front desk was SO SWEET and kept everyone entertaianed and happy. but the fun didnt stop there the audition was so much fun Matthias the director was so informing and a great person all around!!

The re-opening of John Casablancas Modeling and Career Center in Brentwood, Tn.(under NEW MANAGEMENT) in later part of 2014 has been the Greatest thing to the Modeling and Acting Industry in our Area!!!! The management team and office workers are the Greatest!!!!! The Students-Models-Teachers are Amazing, very team oriented and dedicated to their work and studies...The staff is willing to help in anyway to help see that their students/models/actors have the learning tools and classes on site for them to succeed in whatever area of modeling that they are looking for to be successful... It takes hard work,COMMITTMENT and dedication from BOTH PARTIES..My daughter is a Model with J C and we are very Proud to be a PART of This JC Modeling & Career Center...!!!!! If you have a Child that is interested in Modeling/Acting,, John Casablancas in Brentwood Tennessee IS YOUR RIGHT CHOICE!!! THEY ARE RECOMMENDED VERY HIGHLY IN OUR BOOK!!!
