Miss West at Mountain View Elementary does not care about the kindergarten kids screaming at the top of their lungs at recess or by the kids disturbing The Neighbors by being noisy to and from school

This is a good shcool district though I have some complaints. The first is school lunch. At the time of this review students were offered free lunch. Because of this the menu options dropped as well as the quality. I would suggest having families apply for free lunch so those who cant pay for it get it free, but those who can pay still have to.The second complaint is on the matter of extentions. Those students who are smart and understand all topics do not have a way to expand. The old LEAP program helped alot, but it is no longer available for elementry students and never has been for secondary students. Otherwise, a great district with wonderful teachers. (I would advise finding better substitutes for band than the In School Suspention (ISS) teacher.

If your child is average, they will do fine in the Box Elder School District.If your child has a learning disability or autism, it will be a struggle to get them the help they need. The teachers are motivated to sweep problems under the rug and administrators are not forthcoming about how to access help.If your child is exceptionally smart, they will most likely be bored. There arent many programs for kids who excel, because we cant have anyones feelings hurt.

Lots of stinky kids who cant turn on the shower.

This is way better then a lot of other schools, the food is not so great tho...

Not really a very good school district because they choose to spend their grants and funds on the most noneducational things like school lunch. Also school lunch is processed frozen filth where the cooks just heat up the food instead of the definition of what a cook should be doing. The school district also hires subs and teachers that do not know what they are doing and are really disrespectful to the kids (Mrs. Penfold). These are just some of the things that I really dislike about this school district I wish I could attend a school that would promote my education better than this one does.

They do not know how to deal with bullying. They act like they can help but then through it away. Ive had rumors spread about me and my friends. And they just ignored us and wouldnt even over look the problem. And once they did 4 months later. they just told the person to stop and let us all go back to class. The food isnt as bad as people make it sound. But the district could work on getting students more of the help they need.

Our teachers are the best... you can tell from our 19 out of 36 average on the ACT. Thats an F BTWOne day I was in class just like normal and there was a sub and he got so mad he just left and sent 5 kids to the office screaming I hate box elder school district and im never coming back.

I had some concerns and the teacher said “I have 10 kids worse than yours.” Well guess what, I don’t care about those other kids, I care what we can do for my child. They were unwilling to work with us. You’ll regret moving here just like I am. This is painting with a broad brush I know.We moved to a new school in the district and the teacher was phenomenal. Like seriously so good. It made me believe again.That being said we like the dual language opportunities.
