The very most wholesome church anyone could ever attend.Realist, Factual, and absolutely no sugarcoating!!!!!PERIOD.I feel very safe here especially with the drastic security measures.

This is an awesome church and school! My family has been a part of this church/school since 2012. I absolutely love the old school type church. Having come from a contemporary church, this church is refreshing! They have taught my family how to serve God. They are not afraid to talk about sin and where that gets you without repentance. I even witnessed a meeting after an evening service where the Pastor admitted fault to can issue and asked forgiveness from the members right there! I have never been to a church where a pastor admitted fault to anything! They not just in it for the numbers, they actually care about you (whether you tithe or not).If you want a Bible based, down home preaching kind of church, try Elmwood. You wont be disappointed!

This is the best church we have ever attended. There has been no other church that I have found that preaches the pure and wholesome Word of God from the King James Bible. I wish we would have found Elmwood Baptist Church many, many years ago. It has helped my family grow spiritually in a big way. Thank you to all the pastoral staff and their families for sticking to the fundamentals.

Amazing school with amazing teachers! I am beyond thankful for the time and devotion these teachers put into their students! My daughters teacher has put in so much effort to make sure my daughter knows she is safe and cared for and has made some serious impact in her life and has made her start in school such a positive experience!

Great FAMILY oriented church. Moved to Brighton a couple years ago and was looking for a home church that preached out of the Bible. Its an old fashioned Christ centered church with an old school choir and piano. The only church we have ever visited that asked if we were saved on the first visit. I highly recommend that you come see for yourself and see what awesome work the Lord is doing here.

All these people calling this place a cult is a sign of the times. The best church in the world will have all 1 star reviews when the world ends on google. But guess what. Every one there has a strong walk with god . So maybe you felt that way because you never had to own up for your walk and salvation. Just leave this place alone and go listen to mr.olsten on YouTube so you can feel great about yourself

Great place to be to hear Gods word from the Bible. A very friendly place to be. Pastor Randall is amazing and gives a very good sermons. Thank you Pastor Randall for loving God and the people in our church.

What an Amazing Church, They mean what they say about it being more than a church, its a family. We have been attending for some time now, where God is honored and Jesus is the truth. Wouldnt even think of going anywhere else. Please consider joining us, as our loving Pastor says, you come a few times and ya stick!

Hi my name is Donna,I have lived in Brighton Colorado since 1979...I started going to Elmwood Baptist Church somewhere around 2002... I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior & baptized at Elmwood Baptist Church..Pastor Randall go strictly by the Bible & lives his life accordingly to what the Bible says.. Im pretty shy and usually dont speak my mind or write reviews, but in no way is Elmwood Baptist church a cult.. I dont understand how anyone could say that when Pastor Randall goes strictly by the Bible..I love Pastor Randall and his wife Betty and our church members. We are more than church members we are a family of God.Please come by and enjoy one of Pastor Randalls sermons..Everyone is welcomed with open arms..God Bless You🙏💕Donna

Visited twice evryonecis so friendly and nice. The pastor teaches the uncompromised word of god with no watering down

I moved back to Brighton looking for a new Baptist church. I looked up the time of service. We arrived and felt unwelcome at once. I am very disappointed. If you are white you will fit right in. Not one person approached us to welcome us or even a hello. Everyone sure did look at us making us feel we were out of place. Say the least we will not return.

Love the Church and school! I am blessed to go to such an amazing place to worship God. My children absolutely love their school classes and teachers!

I was looking for school for my daughter not realizing, I would find school that teaching my daughter how to walk with The Lord. As well as church, where God would heal my broken heart.Elmwood is church, where youll grow in The Lord. Church members are down to earth and caring. They will go out of their way to help you and care for you. So many times, Ive seen men help move church family, come to change tires on side road. Women come with comfort food, visiting sick and lonely. They receive you with open arms, like Jesus Christ taught us. Their lives based on the Gods Word. This church is not perfect but they do try to reach the goal to live for the Lord.Ive been with this church for 12 years..

They run the school like a cult I was a student there they force children to try and learn things themselves through little booklets called PACEs they put children in cubicles and make them stare at these booklets for hours on end. The teachers all have double standards towards students who are involved with the church and those who are not. I am certain they break child abuse laws daily and this school deserves to be shut down.

Great family church that teaches true Gods Word. We loved it from the first day. Even thought this church is made out of same sinful people as all others are, it really tries to be Godly.

It is a cult. the positive reviews on this site are mostly from staff.My family was a part of Elmwood “Church” and School for seven years. They call themselves a “family,” and you are treated as such until you disagree with something or attempt to address problems that arise. It is a place where problems are hidden, to protect appearances. Anyone who dares to be bold enough to raise issues is kicked out and called evil. No members can have contact with those who are removed from the church. (Copied from Elmwood’s website ‘laws” … If a party is removed from the church membership, all fellowship with unrepentant offending party from that point forward must be discontinued for the sake of restoration.)My husband and I were both teachers at Elmwood Academy. The teachers and staff at this school are not properly trained or educated in any area of childhood education, behavior, or growth. The only training, they receive is through the company that the school buys its curriculum from (ABEKA/ACE).I am a former Detective who worked crimes against children, while teaching at Elmwood I observed a lot of behavior and situations that needed to be dealt with and addressed in a proper manner and were not. The administrator dismisses behavior and situations in an attempt to “save face’ and enrollment numbers. The situations I tried to address were serious issues that in any other school would have been addressed and brought to the attention of parents. When I attempted to take these issues further, I was repeatedly told Bible says to “submit yourself to those that have the rule over you, and “let go and let God”.Every time the principal met with me, he was clearly angry. He has admitted to others (including his Bible class), on several occasions, he has problems with his anger. Other have had problems with him and have confronted him on dealing with students and staff in anger.After the school year 2017 finished, on a Sat., 5 men showed up to my home (including the school admin.) unannounced. Mr. Randall (the Sr. pastor of Elmwood) asserted it was not a “friendly” visit stating they were there to “rebuke and reprove” us. My husband and I were told we were no longer employed at Elmwood and were not to come back to Elmwood Church. My husband told them they were not going to yell at us in our home with 5 men… the Pastor asserted it was biblical, my husband asked them to leave…. We were handed our pre-made final checks. It was a frightening situation for my entire family. (all recorded)After this encounter Mr. Randall sent a one call to all church members asserting that we “quit” the church. The next day he told church members, in the morning church service, he called us “evil”, “rebels”, “wolves,” and more. He directed people to unfriend us on social media and have no contact with us.Several families, seeing this cult-like behavior occur, have left the church and withdrawn their children from the school.I am posting this review in the hope that other families will avoid placing themselves in harm’s way, through becoming a part of a school and or, church that does not embrace the true Spirit of Christ.…. here are some of its beliefs “laws’. No Movie theater, dancing, swimming (bc of immodesty) or music (other than old gospel), do not teach children about Santa or any fictional figure, women wear skirts and are submissive to all men, you are to shame and shun people removed from the church(see online sermon) and Pastor Randall stated “ 99% of the problems in church are caused by women (see recorded sermon online) and more…here is from their website :We believe.. God commands His people to separate from all religious apostasy, all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices, and associations, and to refrain from all immodest and immoderate appearances, piercings, and bodily markings.

Because Elmwood Baptist is Biblical, serves God, not money, is a friendly family where people love each other and most of all that people receive Jesus Christ as Savior becauseHe, not any church is the way the truth the life and no man or woman can go to heaven without Jesus, the Son of God.

Cult, got kicked out and put on a watchlist, everyone was told to stop talking to me and did, I lost most of the people I called friends because I disagreed with something the pastor wanted me to do, this church thinks that women shouldnt have a say and that they cause 99% of the problems in a church
