Kim has been great, and patient with us, as my wife and I learn to ride. Its been a good experience, and were grateful that we found Promenade.

Fantastic experience! My kids just finished up a week of horse camp and all I can say is WOW! I am so impressed with the quality of teaching and guidance that they received. Both of them have had little to no experience working with and riding horses and by the end of the week their fears are gone and confidence is up. I am amazed at how much they learned!!! I HIGHLY recommend checking them out for your family.

Kim and her staff know their stuff! I was pretty hesitant to let my 7 and 9 year old kids around these large animals but the horses are so well trained and my safety concerns were eased immediately. My kids love their riding lessons and it is easily the highlight of their weeks! Highly recommend Promenade!

My 6 year old did the lead line 2 day camp. It was very informational. He learned grooming, how to tie ropes, riding, and trotting. It was fun for my husband and I and we both learned with our son. The owner is very professional and a great teacher, and so are the young ladies helping out. Thank you for the camp of a lifetime.

Ive been taking lessons (drill/group, private, and semi-private) at Promenade Horsemanship Academy for around six months, and its been nothing but a great time!Overall, I just enjoy being there and Kim has so much knowledge and experience to share. I would have been thrilled to just learn how to stay on a horse and have fun riding it around, but Kims teaching goes so far beyond that. Im learning how to be in touch with myself and with the horses as I ride them; how and why our motions make horses move the way they do; and how to ride in a manner that keeps me safe and keeps the horses healthy and comfortable (as comfortable as having a human on your back can be, anyway!). Im still a beginner, but I really feel this depth of understanding and awareness makes people really great riders.Something I appreciate is that I can schedule lessons on evenings and weekends. I didnt expect it to be so easy to fit horseback riding into my busy adult life. Promenade is really conveniently located, too; its only two or three miles east of the main part of Brighton, but still has the wide open country feel I associate with horses. The excellent view of the Rockies is a nice bonus, too.If youre looking for a great place to riding horses near Brighton, definitely try Promenade Horsemanship Academy!

Great place to learn how to ride and take care of horses. I have two daughters (9 + 14) that have been going off and on for over 5 years for horse camps and lessons. They continue to request the Promenade because the owners Kim and Jerry are friendly, knowledgeable, and have created an inviting environment for learning. Weve tried several other places the are slightly closer to us, but always seem to return to the Promenade Horsemanship Academy for the superior overall experience.

I am an adult who has never ridden horses before coming to Promenade Horsemanship Academy. I shopped around the Denver area for a bit and settled here entirely because of Kim and her methods. If you are like me and are seeking a holistic experience, please try this place! I have found myself pushed physically, mentally, and (I dont normally talk like this) but spiritually! A big part of learning to ride here is using a completely different part of your willpower to ask the horse to move with you. I believe the lessons learned here are personally valuable and can be applied to your life away from a stable.Id also like to note that Kims theory puts the well being of the horse first - we spend a lot of time observing our horses movements and practicing our groundwork. Ive found that these ideas make riding so much more complex and exciting!

We have been riding here for 6 months now and have had a fabulous experience. My kids ride in the drill teams and have also taken lessons and done the camps. I like that she does camps for experienced kids, not just beginners. The only downside is no indoor arena, but to be honest it hasnt been a problem like I thought it might, as the weather hasnt really affected riding, bad weather tends to go around the place, and due to the sandy soil rain gets soaked up quickly. The owners are both friendly, understanding to kids and friendly. We have felt very welcomed. Also parents are allowed to help out if they want to, as are older kids if they are responsible and willing. Its a great learning experience.

We have been working with Promenade for over 6 years and just love how much love and passion they have for working with youth and horses. What started as an interest in horses from going to Girl Scout Camp lead to us finding Promenade Horsemanship Academy. From that point a love and passion for horsemanship blossomed. Kim and Jerry both have mentored my eldest girl that later turned into us buying and stabling a horse at Promenade. The lessons learned, the ability to do many different things with horses, but also life skills, has prepared my daughter with so many things in life. Today my youngest daughter also attends at Promenade and has a new horse she is training. Kim has been key in showing her how to do that. You might say Promenade is our home when were not at home! Horse folks this is a great place to be!Thanks Kim and Jerry!

Kim is fantastic! The place is close to town and has a great, relaxing vibe. You will learn so much more than riding. My sister and I have groomed and bonded with our horses and are gaining so much independence. We will continue to be a part of Promenade Stables for a long time.

I absolutely love Promenade. I have been here for two and a half years. I do several classes here and learn so much. The horsemanship classes that are offered teach you so much more than how to sit on a horse. If you want to learn to ride, do horse agility, liberty, drill, and horsemanship classes this is definatly the place to come.

This so called stable/riding academy looks good from the outside, but once you see the inner workings you will run the other way. They look for free labor by offering volunteer opportunities. This is a for profit business! No matter what you do there you pay a LOT of money! Lessons may be taught by minors, or people that you will never see ride their own horse because they are terrified. The owners have frequent outburst of fighting between each other and the husband likes to show off by standing on his horse during clinics and without warning start cracking a bull whip. Now I am all for horses being bomb proof, but the majority of the people riding here are children and this is a very poor example of good horsemanship, not to mention dangerous. The wife is very nice, but has to deal with her unpredictable husband. Children should not be subjected to this type of environment, especially when safety should be the first priority. If your looking for professionalism, this is NOT the place.• • •Public - in the last week

I would highly recommend Promenade Stables for training, boarding, and lessons. Their boarding rate is highly competitive with any other stable in the metro Denver area...and that includes three times a day hay feeding. Whether its expert training, lessons, boarding, or a child wanting to learn in a facility that puts safety first...I can say that Promenade has exceeded for me and my horse!

Im an adult with little experience with horses. Promenade had an open house with an opportunity to get on a horse. Kim even put me on a line has had the horse trot - she so motivated me that I couldnt putbit out of my mind and recently started individual lessons with me. Her knowledge of horsemanship and ability to explain it to me has been phenomenal. She is taking a person like me (unexperienced and afraid of horses) and making me feel in control and loving it. I so highly recommend Promenade and Kimbto anyone interested in learning to ride. She trains a number of young folks, but she is just wonderful with adults as well!

I love promanade. my family has children riding there in lessons all the time I never have to worry about whether they are safe. Kim has made me and my nieces comfortable around horses. Not to mention taught me how to be safe and always puts safety first. If for any reason she feels a situation is unsafe she is very quick to correct the situation. Her husband has been very helpful as well he has been in multiple classes of mine walking through helping anyone who needed assistance. I love promanade stables and even have a horse there and there is no question in my mind about the care given and safety of my horse. This is a brilliant and the pricing was perfect after shopping around for horse lessons this is not only affordable but Kim is an outstanding teacher.
