My grandson got his hair cut and Cisco did a great job on his hair .. when he got done my son and I was looking at it and the nail tech not even know what was going on look at my grandson and said do you like it and he replied yes and then she gonna say dont worry about what he says when all my son was saying the one side looked thicker but it was the way it was comb so for he to pipe in like she did was uncalled for not knowing what was even being said

This school is awesome the girls are so sweet and very talented and smart they know just what to do and of course they have very experienced and talented teachers as well and supervisors so in my experience they never make any mistakes and another thing they are a lot cheaper than other schools that I have been to so I would highly recommend them

Ive been going here for the past 6 years . Probably had at least 60 haircuts in that time frame . I can only remember 1 time of recieving a haircut that I wasnt too happy about . I believe i was the fellas first ever attempt at cutting hair . After all you hafta realize it is a school and they are there to learn ! Where else can you go to get a quality cut for only 5 bucks !! You walk out spending less than $10 even tho ya feel like a million !!

Thank you Danielle for THE best haircut ever! I would have never ever decided this on my own! This is the difference between a stylist and one who cuts hair. I was going to get a my gray covered and a trim. Danielle mentioned that the “Rachel” cut would look great on me. I asked her about it. It involved taking 4 inches off my hair, layers, thinning etc. I haven’t had someone with enough vision, talent and guts to actually express what would flatter me since I left Florida and my stylist of 12 years who had been in the business for 30 years. My hair looks amazing. It lays perfectly. It is an effortless style for my hair type. I cannot thank Danielle enough! Call or walk in and request this girl! She is amazing!

Potential applicants BEWARE. This business has all of the red flags of a scam and a financial aid fraud scheme. Communication regarding enrollment and financial was nonexistent. Tuition was not outlined prior to enrollment, was over $13,000 in excess of the prices listed in all of their documentation (and their website), and the federal financial aid sheet provided in orientation includes a cost breakdown which lists a mandatory charge of ~$4,000 for Room and Board despite neither being offered.

I so enjoyed my experience here! I called and got an appointment quickly. The student who cut my hair did a great job! The haircut was very affordable (I ended up giving a bigger tip than the actual bill!) Will definitely be back!

My stylist was great!! Morgan done a fabulous bleach job and was very attentive. My bad experience came from the instructor. I get my hair done there often and last time had a full bleach, trim and then dyed silver and lavender for $60. This time i only had roots bleached and she quoted me $79 just for root bleach. Roots were about 5 inches and she kept telling student to use 2 bottles. Well first of all it only took 1 bottle to which i guess she thought i was lying. The stylist had to come and tell the instructor herself then the instructor continued to finagle to get the most $$. Morgan had her pull the pricing sheet to clarify the price of 4 scoops of bleach. Student surpasses the teacher. This wouldve never happened if the regular instructor was there. She charged me the appropriate $50 and i tipped the student $10 for saving the day. If they needed a little xtra idve been MORE THAN HAPPY to donate as i do go often but dont lie to me and try to fleece me just because i can afford it.The price was corrected after some dispute but now i fear being fleeced whenever that particular instructor is there. Thankyou Morgan, you were fabulous. If xtra $$ is needed they need a donation bucket rather than trying to double charge customers. 3 actions for $59 or 1 for $79........huge difference depending on which instructor is available.

I went here for the first time, I’m very picky and particular about the way my hair is cut. Brad stepped up to the plate and gave me the best hair cut I’ve had in a long time! Not to mention it was only 5 bucks! I’ve always paid almost 30 and I have short hair! But overall it was definitely a wonderful experience and I will for sure go back!

I went to the exalt school and was highly dissatisfied! Came to BSHD and was treated so well from the moment I stepped in. A special thank you to Travis, Danielle and Mindy for making me feel special. My highlights and gel nails looked amazing! Will definitely be be coming back soon. Cant express how great of a job they did.

I just had the best day ever! Travis did a professional job on my highlights and did a constant comedy routine the during my entire visit! His energy is endless! He is obviously a leader. He answered the phone, greeted other customers, answered questions for other students, ran around and grabbed supplies for others, helped out without asking, offered to run out to the drink machine or snack machine and grab me something... he was amazing. The whole atmosphere of the school was fun, The students treated the elderly with respect, kindness and care. Everyone helped each other. My hair is gorgeous! The color and cut are perfect. It is exactly what I wanted! The experience was better than any salon. The price was so affordable. Travis consulted with the instructor who checked on me several times. Travis really made the day so much fun. The other students were happy, funny, and so nice. Thanks Travis, I will definitely be back to see you again and again! You will need to take an ad out when you graduate because I am sure you will have a ton of customers follow you wherever you go!

I travel a lot for work so I have visited a few other Beauty Schools in other locations. I live in the Bristol area though and I wanted to visit the local Beauty School here in Fact I have been here before at this locatuon but it has been well over 20 plus years ago and I was satisfied.So I looked on the Bristol School of Hair Designs website and saw they had some fantastic specials and called up a couple of friends and we decided to do a last minute lower cost Mini Spa Day.Wow how upsetting of an experience.I truly have NO idea how this School is getting funding or passing inspections.I realize this is a very critical review but I was absolutely unbelievably SHOCKED at how nasty this place was. And the longer I was there having services a total of 7 hours the more concerned I was of the YEARS of build up of Nastiness.The Floors, the counters, the sinks, the Manicure Tables, the facial area, the pedicure chair everything honestly looked like it had not been wiped down mopped or cleaned in many many many years. I TRULY hope this review will at least bring it to your attention the uncleanliness especially in a location that offers all the services you offer is just not acceptable. I truly believe this is a major health concern.Honestly if the Services where `𝙵𝚁𝙴𝙴 until this place does a Major overhaul and is CLEAN they lost some great business together we spent well over 200.00 for our services plus we tipped generously. It is a Shame to allow an establishment to get in that condition.

DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR PERMED HERE!!! If I could give this a zero I would. My hair was only curly at the very top. Left almost completely straight at the ends because the solution was not left in long enough. My hair looks absolutely awful. I left the place thinking maybe, just maybe when it dries a little the curls will bounce up. Guess what? Not at all. So upset. I have had someBad haircuts but this is literally the worst my hair has ever turned out.

I have had my last three cuts done here and have been very pleased. I have not had any issues or complaints. Since they are in training it takes more time but it is worth it. I will definitely be back....

I took my Daughter there today for her formal. They offered Queen for A Day Package Deal. Hair,Make-up,maniure with polish and Pedicure with polish. It has been nothing but stressful and a regret! They have No Make-up but eyeshadow and my daughters nails looked like a 6year old painted them! Im beyond upset. I know its a school but the lack of instruction, direction and supplies is unacceptable! Knowing they receive funds from the State of Tn And Va for tuition payment, Also receiving personal payment from your own pocket. There should be more than enough make-up nail polish anything the students need available to provide quality service!

I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!! Took my 9 year old daughter to have her hair cut into a long bob and the woman butchered her. Should have been to her shoulders but instead its above her ears and not even at all. My daughter was crying as soon as she seen it. And the teacher defended the lady that cut it. So mad. She shouldnt be allowed to cut hair. She was just taking scissors and wacking away the hair not even pulling hair into her fingers. Grrrrr
