We highly recommend Montessori Children’s Community. From the beginning we loved the facilities, they were exactly what we were looking for: safe, clean and secure. Our son enjoyed the first visit and immediately felt comfortable with his teachers and his classroom.The director and all the teachers that we had contact with are kind and patient people. Every time we had a concern or question they would make time for us. We really enjoyed and appreciated the daily feedback and the teacher parent conferences to learn more about our son’s development and his behavior at school.They are a team dedicated to guiding each child in discovering and maximizing their strengths while encouraging them to tackle/ learning experiences they may not be familiar with. The teachers provide a very nurturing environment that made our son look forward to school time everyday. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience!

Great Location. Great Staff. My son goes to this school and he absolutely loves it. Staff is very understanding and teaches the Montessori method to the core. It provides a great balance between play and work. Highly recommend.

0 stars! The director is a crook and is not interested in supporting child development. She is suspected of child neglect and a complaint is on file with DCFS. I want others to know what happened to my child. She was put in a separate room from all the other children in isolation during nap time because she is 5 1/2 and doesnt nap, so she sings quietly to herself to occupy herself during the 2 hour nap time which was apparently disturbing the other child. The solution she came up with was putting her in a room alone isolated with the door closed and told her not to come out, and when she did come out repeatedly was told to go back in to the room and lie down after being told this repeatedly, she stopped coming out even to go the bathroom, so she has peed in her bed, laid in it because she believed she could not get out of that room. I was not notified of this arrangement. It was discovered during a family event that was there. There was no admission of guilt and no apology given to me. Please comment if you think this treatment is child neglect. No child should have to be in a room isolated from all the other children for 2 hours and be told repeatedly not to come out let alone a fully functioning 5 1/2 year old.

MCC has been great at helping my daughter develop as an independent human being. Not only is MCC clean, but very orderly and peaceful. My daughter made good friends there and learned so much. She was making world maps at age 4, learning about world cultures, and reading well above grade level. This is not to mention her abilities to clean, cut veggies, prepare food, work as a team with other kids and explore the world with field trips every single month. I definitely recommend this school to anyone who has interest helping their child grow and blossom as an individual. As for negative reviews: I have never witnessed any neglect or abusive behavior or even heard of it in the 3 1/2 years that I sent my daughter there.
