I have lessons here. Most with Keli. She is a good instructor and very patient and professional. I am a non experienced person. But I passed the test one time. It is a good choice for you to choose Brookline driving school and Keli.

Awesome driving school. Ilya is a great teacher. He is funny, informative, and asks for questions often. It is really nice that he includes more information and not just what is required, including personal stories!

I can honestly say this driving school is the best the instructors I had were AMAZING very understanding and supportive they help you and explain anything questions or doubts you have which is great.Taking the road test with them is so simple they take you we’re the road testing is done and have you practice the skills which is a HUGE plus. The receptionist is very friendly and helpful I would definitely recommend this school to my family and friends . Overall I had a great experience thank you!!

Great way to pass your driving test with confidence. I love how you can schedule an exam through the school directly. The lessons and techniques can vary across instructors but this gives you more choice as to how you want to drive. overall was very happy with my experience and outcome.

Brookline Driving School is very convenient and simple way to get your driving license especially if you are an international and need to convert to an American driving license. Brenda and James were my favorite instructors, James teaches you easy parallel parking and Brenda teaches you everything you need to know to be a successful driver. They both love their job, and I was very lucky to have them as instructors.

What makes a good driver? Someone who is calm and collected, and always knows what to do. The confidence and competence required to be safe behind the wheel is only something that can be taught through rigorous in-class education led by a good teacher. Ilya was this leader for me. He led me to pass to final exam first try. I without a single doubt, would recommend this driving school.

I had my driving license training from here. My instructor was very nice her name is Kelli. She taught me everything nicely. Best part of their service is that they come to closer spot near your house to pick you up for the classes.

Ilya was a fantastic instructor. During in-class instruction, he made the material interesting and kept the class engaged (which is not such an easy task over zoom). Ilya went above and beyond, teaching us all the essential information needed to be a responsible and safe driver, including: in-depth descriptions of a cars functions and applications, what to do in emergency situations, requirements for passing the state road test, obtaining a permit and license, and purchasing and insuring a car. He also talked about many unwritten rules and other information which you would not find in the standard curriculum or drivers manual.After completing the in-class curriculum at Brookline Driving School, I feel far more comfortable and confident to begin driving, and I look forward to starting on-road instruction at BDS too. BDS is overall a great, truly one-of-a-kind driving school experience in terms of quality, credibility, and care.

While it was a very different experience due to Covid, my teacher was very engaging. He taught us lots of useful information such as what to do in crashes and emergency situations as well as how to maintain your car, how to buy a car, and the unwritten rules of driving and buying cars.

Trainers are not assigned to students, so, everytime you need to show the new trainer how you drive for a while. I kept saying that I need a lot of exercise in parallel parking they did not focus on it. So, I failed only because of parallel parking as I expected.

Really bad experince!! They tricked me to cancel my regular road test saying that they will get me a date sooner and asked me to pay. when I called them for confirmation next morning they said its the two days later of my actual roadtest booked.unprofessional behaviour. I wont recommend them to anyone.

Overall I had a good experience with the school. I took all my classes with Keli and she told me exactly how many classes I needed to take before the test and I passed in the first try. She is very nice and patient. Also, if you are Brazilian, I highly recommend Keli as she is from Brazil and gives great advice regarding the differences between driving there and here.

Overall I think it was good, just remember that not everything will work out but thats okay. Sometimes you might get nervous or might get sad but just keep trying and learn from your mistakes, and if your nervous watch some you tube videos about driving exams.

Brenda and Keli gave me really good tips to help me pass first go! I would recommend booking the driving test with Brookline Driving School too if youre going to take lessons with them because they show you the exact route and go over everything asked of you for the test.

Loved my experience with this school. Even though I didnt look forward towards the in class lessons, they went by quickly, and the driving lessons were awsome. The instructors are patient and really take the time to explain to you the easiest way to parallel park. I dont think I will ever have an issue with parking again. Amazing expiriance for my wife. Native of Brazil and needed a bi lingual teacher which took me weeks to find. Kelli was her instructor and was FABULOUS. Furthermore she came in on her own time at 6 AM just prior to 8 AM road test to make sure my wife was 100% prepared other than her regular private lessons. One of the owners Vitally was very accomodating as well. Kelli was our hero. My wife passed on her first tryBy the way Kelli speaks both fluent English and Portugese. A lot of people say that Drivers Ed is useless and especially long and tiring. As much as I used to believe that, I my opinion has changed tremendously because of Brookline Driving School. My instructor Ilya kept the course very interesting and I was able to pay attention to it and not get bored even though I took the course over zoom. I recommend this driving school to anyone who wants to have a very thorough understanding of driving and it is a very good driving school.

I had a really good experience with this school, I took a few classes and then went on to take my road test with them as well. The instructor i had (Miss Marguerite) was very professional and helped me out a lot. I honestly loved going to class just because of her. She helped me a lot and genuinely wanted me to do well. Now, I have a love for driving and feel very confident on the road.

I took the online drivers ed course with Ilya, and he was very nice, enthusiastic, and engaging. I definitely learned a lot from him and was entertained at the same time!! He provided a lot of insider information that would not be available elsewhere. Definitely would recommend others to learn from him.

Instructor Jiri Prokes was great and he was the reason I passed the exam from the first time. He is professional. Patient and respectful. I highly recommend him for everyone.

I am kind of disagreeing with other people said Marquerite was a good instructor. Maybe for people who already know how to drive but for people like me only having 6 hours driving lessons with BDS, I had hard time focusing on the road condition because she kept talking with another guy sitting at the back of the car. She liked me in the beginning because the way I talked very outgoing and relax but once went on the road, she started to say everything bla bla bla (not really driving related) and made me nearly a dangerous driver in in term of unclear driving instruction given by her. If you do not turn very well, she will start hating you as well. I did very good practicing with Brenda but with her very bad even worse than Russian instructors. She was even yelling me out saying GO GO GO are you kidding me you are a clinical scientist?!! Maybe I am a bad learner but I did not feel she was that good either way for my experience. Of course, she did laugh and talk once we went back to BDS and seemed everything did not happen. She even asked me if I wanted to book with her next time. I said I already booked the time but in my mind was like no thanks for ever! I am okay with yelling even with Russian guys but I do not like in the beginning being nice and then abruptly changing your attitude just because of the turning, speed up (I was on 30 already), slow down (thanks because of you let me speed up now what...) wrong lanes(unclear instruction given by her not my fault initially). What do you want..... She said now I knew why other instructors were yelling at you. Actually not because of the reasons listed above, because of parallel parking and back up. Also she let me get off the car to show me while saying you are the first one I need to show. Am I that bad? No of course not because the way she wanted was not the way I was comfortable with plus every time when I was turning, she always said quick, turn, turn and faster. I knew what I was doing at that time and please let me finish the turn. If doing fast as what she kept yelling later on, a dangerous driving just happened and scared people behind me. She also liked judging people including her own workmates bla bla bla and she even told me did no care about that. Also her daughter oh gosh so many drama. But overall I like the BDS because of the front desk (the Russian girl very polite to me at least), Brenda and James! BTW Marquerite said James did not show up sometime and so dose Brenda. I am not sure it is true or not but at least Brenda was very on time with me and taught me everything that I needed to know for the real test. And Marquerite was the one five minutes late on my lesson so thanks very much for being here finally. All in all, not recommended for a beginner driver unless you have these three I had experienced James, Brenda and Ervin. Otherwise you need to know how to drive to become being respected and not being shouting at all the time:) I am sure there are other good ones but I listed the ones I like. BTW Ervin is new but he is very very calm and explain everything to you before starting to move your car:)

My instructor, Ilya, was able to make the classroom portion of drivers ed really entertaining while still making sure we knew everything we needed to know in order to be safe drivers. It was a great experience!

I took 3 lessons and the road test with them. I had Keli as the instructor. She was extremely professional and made me practice the road test route many times, including explaining the entire test.She also made sure to offer me my final lesson an hour before the actual road test which was extremely helpful, because the weather was bad and she made me feel at ease for the exam.The examiner was also nice and very polite. Compared to my previous failed road test attempt at Watertown, where the examiner was extremely rude and unprofessional, the examiner at Brookline was kind.Overall, I wish I had taken the test with Brookline Driving School to begin with. Would highly recommend.

Great driving school overall!

Very efficient. I can say all of the instructors are amazing. I am a new driver, havent drove before in my life, they taught me from my day 1. I took 10hrs lessons and finally cleared my driving test. The best is James Perez and Marquerite. They have quite friendly way of helping you learn. Being new to the road, it was mostly Marquerite made everything clear and concise. She is an ex-MBTA driver, I highly recommend her and James.

Driving instructors weren’t great. I had 2 different guys. One guy was inappropriate and the other guy was yelling while I was driving. Cancellation fee isn’t fair and you can’t negotiate it. Wouldn’t recommend this place if you are a very beginner driver they expect you to know how to already drive. Not worth it.

Amazing class! Ilya is a dedicated teacher who always finds ways to make the class fun and engaging. He is truly invested in his students as he takes the time to explain concepts and asks if students have questions. The class conveys important information while also making the atmosphere fun. Top notch driving school was an amazing experience thanks to my instructor James P.! He gave excellent tips that he had about my driving specifically for the test and answered all my questions comments and concerns without a doubt! Kind and experienced teachers that will help you step by step on how to pass your test. It’s the little things that people don’t catch or habits we need to get rid of that will definitely assist you in the long run in your driving life. Brookline Driving School is a great experience. Vitaly, Boris, Ilya, Juan, James, Margaurette, Viktor have all given me a great experience. None of them ever yelled at me when I made mistakes and they are so patient. They were all very respectful nice people but they are still human so they will need you to make sure you understand. But when youre on the road you have nothing to worry about, all of them have your back and will make sure your safe.

I highly recommend this driving school because the front desk/management is easy to get a hold of for rescheduling, and teachers are reliable. It took me about 40 lessons to pass the road test, and the school really encouraged me to succeed. In all, the customer service was very good.

Ive got two kids who have both attended classes at Brookline Driving School (BDS) for Drivers Education (DE). The first did it in the before times (pre-COVID) and the second one in the midst of COVID.The oldest kid took the DE classroom portion over Christmas break two years back and then took her own sweet time to meet the driving and observation time requirements with BDS. She recently passed her driving test and now has her drivers license.The youngest kid took the DE classroom portion over the summer (on-line due to COVID) and now has to do her road time with BDS.Its clear from my extensive interactions with BDS staff that they care about what theyre doing. When Ive spoken with BDS office staff I sometimes have to wait on hold for a bit, but when theyre talking with me they understand the concern(s) I have and answer my questions and help me out competently and courteously. Watching Ilya at driving tests he reminds the students of the most common pitfalls other students have had and gives encouraging words.The ability to have BDS sponsor students for the actual driving test and for them to use the actual cars theyve received BDS instruction in is also a plus.Ive recommended BDS to multiple people and can freely say that Im quite satisfied with their services.

I was a very very nervous person when it comes to driving but the instructors in this school helped me a lot and I passed on my first try!

I signed up for lessons as an adult learning to drive for the first time. Setting up the appointments was very quick and easy. Ive never had a problem calling the office!I had three different instructors over six lessons. Vitaly was by far my favorite instructor and I highly recommend you ask for him if youre nervous or feel anxious about driving. Hes one of the owners and was very patient with me but also pushed me out of my comfort zone which was necessary. I enjoyed all of our lessons together! Hes been in this business for a long time so he had a lot of helpful tips for the road test. I wish Id had him for all my lessons.The other instructors I had were Keli and Jiri. Both of them were nice people but their teaching styles did not click with me as a very anxious first time driver. I recommend if you find an instructor you get along with, maybe call the office to reschedule other lessons with that specific person. This school is often so busy though they cant rebook you right away. My one complaint is the fact that you dont get the same instructor for each lesson, but Im not sure if thats common for all driving schools.Overall, I had a positive experience with BDS. They really helped me get more confident behind the wheel and taught me skills needed for the actual road test. As someone who had literally never driven before, I felt better knowing experts were in the car with me. I havent taken my road test yet but I plan to set it up with the school, since they provide you with a vehicle, sponsor, and help schedule the actual road test.

My son had the driving lessons there. I did pay $620 for the package, but every single time is so difficult to schedule the appointment. Have to wait for a month or more and also different instructors every time. How can you get experience like that if you jus learn once a month. It ended up my son didn’t pass and I have to look for a different school and pay more money.

Great school!The Ukrainian tutor ‘Vitaly’ is awesome. He will make you do mistakes and teaches you everything needed before the road test. Very funny as well. Ask for him when you schedule. The test-takers on Saturday road test act strict, just to scare you a lil bit for safe and conscious driving. Ignore that, follow instructions, just smile and drive safely following rules. You will pass the test. All the best!PS: I took 2.5 hrs of out of highway and 2 hrs of highway classes as an international student with 3 years of driving experience in home country.

I went into Drivers Ed really doubting I would enjoy or take away anything from the experience. After 30 hours of involved and stimulating classroom work with Ilya, I have a changed perspective! I just finished drivers ed today and Brookline Driving School is 100% worth it in every way. Ilya is an extremely nice guy and knows very well what he is teaching. He has taught me things I wouldn’t have learned at any other driving school. He makes sure everyone understands what he teaches before moving forward, and he is incredible at educating others. Brookline Driving School is not only cheaper than every other school in the area but offers so much more information. Ilya, I would personally like to thank you for being an incredible teacher and for not only teaching us the material from the course, but for giving us personal examples from your life to help us better understand the material. I had a good experience with Brookline Driving School. My instructor, Mr. Prokes was very helpful and gave me very clear instruction and great tips during my driving lessons.

They are very unprofessional, greedy, and sketchy. Their customer service is non existent and if you have a problem with any of their services, too bad, you already paid. Ah, make sure your requests are done in writing and not through their website as they will do everything possible to keep your money. You are better off looking for a trusty business as this one doesnt look like it is.

Brookline Driving School is the best!!! My experience is nothing short of outstanding! We had a negative experience with AAA Driving School because of scheduling on their end and no show teachers so we gave up and switched. Brookline Driving School exceeded our expectations. As a business owner myself who deals with teaching clients and improving client confidence, I can honestly say the quality, the instructors, and the scheduling in phenomenal here. The instructors build confidence on Day 1 and make new drivers feel good about their learning process as it really takes time. Our instructor showed up to our second lesson in a car the size of mine - just brilliant! I am so impressed I even called and thanked them myself. If you are not sure if a school is the right fit try a one-hour lesson and see with these guys first. Our pickup spot was convenient to our home, safe, well thought out and even on a T stop. They really do a great job and I highly highly rate them beyond 5 stars here. I am very pleased putting my money here as a Boston resident because I know how scary driving here can be. The student really needs a positive instructor and they have them. We booked 5 hours worth of lessons and if we find that more is needed we wont hesitate to book. Really good instructors, help you prepare for the exam well. Call to confirm and for any changes. I did my lessons and got my license within a month. I wouldve liked to get more info about what materials to bring before the test, but other than that I would really recommend this company.

Overall I have very nice experience taking their driving lessons as well as road test on a weekend. After a few months of home-schooled driving practice, I failed my first road test because I was too nervous and wasnt clear about certain rules. Then I decided to take some driving lessons. The driving school is at a very convenient location and they pick you up, drop you off every time. I had lessons with instructor Carmen for three times - after the first lesson I had very good experience so I asked to book another two lessons with her. She is a very experienced instructor, has been teaching for many years, gives very good instructions and most importantly very nice and patient. I see myself becoming more confident and skillful at driving after taking the lessons. Then the road test is no longer nerve racking. As other reviewers mentioned, for the driving lessons they have the student drivers to pick you up and drop you off, which may take longer. Its probably not the best but if you get prepared for it, its actually not too bad.

With Brookline Driving school my road test was a piece of cake. They have great instructors. I would specially like to mention Ilya and Eric, they both are excellent instructors and very approachable. I was fortunate to have Eric 1 day before my test. The school made sure to give me reminders before each lesson, they made sure to call me a day before to let me know any changes in the schedule. I would definitely recommend them especially for beginners like me.

The driver was very dirty, was coughing, and smelly and was not very good at instructing, mask was not completely on. Not very respectful, and the school was just very unprofessional. Two weeks later they ask for my permit number since I’m the system it was “wrong “ when I had typed it in online and repeated it on the phone. Would like a refund.

This driving school unfortunately left a mediocre experience for me. I do admire the fact that the instructors are friendly and willing to help. However, they often, or almost always, show up late and end early, and uses class time inefficiently.

Generally speaking, I enjoyed learning driving with this school. I passed the road test thanks to the coaching of James, a nice instructor who cares about his students life and spares no efforts to make them good drivers. A five star goes to James and may be a four star goes to the school.

Most of instructors are good. I had four of them, and I recommend Inna and Many.But!Management/customer support is terrible!Most of it is done by the owner, so there is no way to fire him. You have to be ready for this:- A person (a man) on the phone is extremely rude- Another instructor comes to your class, nobody tells you. So, you cant reschedule. In my case the instructor I liked a lot was replaced by the one I didnt like at all.- Instructor is late for your class, no compensation policy- You reschedule the class, but the manager doesnt let the instructor know about it, so you arrive to the meeting point, and there is no one- They lie to cover themselves. For example: they tell you on the phone that the instructor is stuck in traffic, but there is no traffic, and it turns out that they didnt tell him about your class. Or: they tell you your instructor couldnt make it because of emergency. But the reality is that they put your instructor to two lessons at the same time.I had 6 lessons, 3 were screwed up in one way or another.I would only recommend this school for the road test, but not for learning.

I had a great experience with Brookline Driving School.I took a class and the road test with them.An hour of class would cost $50 and the road test was $130.My class instructor was very polite and very resourceful. As I already knew how to drive, She gave all the tips necessary for the road test.On the day of road test, the sponsor/owner is present to give you last minute tips and guides you not to make silly mistakes.Overall, I would strongly recommend Brookline Driving School over any other Schools out there.

Helped me feel prepared for my driving test

I had two instructors and one of them was fantastic. She was humorous and very thorough with her instructions. The other person was cranky and had such an attitude. I felt really uncomfortable and even had to try not to be upset while driving because of how he was treating me. Make sure you drive with an instructor that has good reviews here. The nice lady was Margeret(not sure but was something like that) and the other instructor’s name was Yuri. Also at the road test, the examiner was rude but the staff was really nice. He made sure people weren’t nervous before the exam, and gave some great last minute tips. The staffs I talked on the phone with were all nice too. I have such mixed feelings about this place.

I loved Brenda! she was my instructor! and then when I went on Saturday to get my road test done they were very pleasant and nice and explained in detail what they might do and what the might not do in terms on performing behind the wheel. I loved it and had a great experience 5/5 theyre amazing.

Never go to this school again to take road test! The examiner, an old lady, was soooo rude. She made me uncomfortable and nervous. She asked one question and I asked her to repeat cause I couldn’t understand. She raised her voice for nothing. I’ve just asked her to repeat the question for God’s sake! They don’t have right to act like that. I do not recommend!

I had a great and positive experience with the Brookline Driving School! I signed up for the 10 hour private lessons and I was happy with all of the instructors that I got... James, Viktor, Eric, Juan, and Ina . The beginning of each lesson was practicing for the road test and the rest of the time was spent navigating the local roads. Each instructor had their own tricks and ways of teaching, which I loved! I also passed the road test on the FIRST try! I would recommend this driving school to everyone!

Really amazing class, best driving school in Boston!

My experience with the driving school was amazing. the instructions are very friendly and helpful, they talk you through everything and make you feel comfortable and ready to take your road test.

My instructor for drivers ed was a great guy and made it very intriguing for a subject for a topic that seems dull. Class was a grind but for sure not a wasted week.

I would rate 0 stars if it was possible. Terrible experience with the on call support. Do yourself a favor and find a better driving school.

Great school. They prepare you well for the test which is easy compared to their lessons, and they tell you exactly what you have to do to avoid failing. Over 95% of people pass. Also for people who dont like the guy answering the phone, he is actually very nice, I was short like 2 bucks but he allowed it.

Mary is indeed a wonderful teacher. She was very patient told me more than I needed to know. Mary was prompt and on time.The school itself charges you exactly what they say theyll charge. I highly recommend this school. Especially if you prefer private lessons.
