Little Children Schoolhouse has been an incredible environment for our daughter to learn, grow, and be loved. The teachers and staff truly care for the children, from the infant rooms to the preschool rooms. Every stage provided a safe and nurturing environment for our daughter (from 5 months to 3 years), especially during Covid times. Thank you so much for being an extended family for us!

My old daughter was enrolled in 2018. I can feel the growth of daughter in this school. The school has various learning programs and activities, and different learning subjects each week. The kids will not only have fun, but also can learn a lot at Little Children Schoolhouse, highly recommended!! Now my younger daughter also starts her first school at Little Children Schoolhouse.

My husband and I took our daughter to Little Children Schoolhouse from 2 to almost 4 years. We are very grateful for all the care, support, and love with our little girl since her first day at school. She has developed so much during this time. She loves her teachers and friends and enjoys a lot the activities at school. We are going back to our country, but we will miss the LCSh family a lot. We truly recommend LCSh for families looking for warm, responsible, and trustworthy caregivers in a welcoming environment.

Our son Tucker has really thrived at Little Children School House. The teachers accelerated Tuckers learning and socialization within weeks of his attending the school. Hes developed a close group of friends that will continue beyond the school. His teachers struck a nice balance between loving care and firm leadership. The atmosphere is caring and family-oriented.

Our family has sent both of our children to LCSH from a very young age and we loved our experience there. At first, we thought the move from a home day care to a daycare center would be impersonal, but we were quite wrong. The staff are warm, friendly and truly care for the children. When my son (now almost 5) enters, many staff joyfully greet him as if he was still attending. The facility at Boylston Street (RT9) is top notch. On top of very organized and clean classrooms there is a sand room, indoor ball and mat playrooms, a library and even a covered turf play area for outside play during wet or colder days. We recommend the LCSH with great confidence.

My daughter attended Little Children Schoolhouse from ~15 weeks to 11 months (with a break during COVID closure). Our teachers were extremely caring and the school/ directors impressed us with their approach to safety, education, and engagement of the babies. We also found the price to be reasonable as compared to other options we explored. They say that the school is your extended family and it was true in our experience!

I highly recommend Little Children Schoolhouse at 31 Boylston St. Our daughter attended as an infant (4 through 16 months). I never worried about her being unsafe or unattended. The teachers were very caring and supportive of the infants. I appreciate that they took her outside nearly every day and sent frequent updates/pictures using the Brightwheel app. The owners/managers Lissy & Gladys are excellent. I got the sense that they truly cared about all of the children at the schoolhouse like they were their own. They frequently greeted us as we entered the schoolhouse, greeted my daughter by name, and were responsive by email. They were responsive about the changes due to COVID, and follow social distancing guidelines, mask use, etc. While our daughter didnt attend the older classes, I could see that they were filled with stimulating toys and learning tools.

They have cared for and educated my kids for 6 years. When my eldest went to Kindergarten he was beyond ready. They really are like a part of our family.

Such a wonderful daycare - the teachers are amazing and care deeply about each child. I felt at ease leaving my infant daughter with Miriam and Ilka each day. The updates and photos during the day were an extra bonus :)

We loved little children schoolhouse. Our son was well taken care of and extremely happy to attend this facility. We could tell that he really loved each of his teachers and had a special relationship with them. They were always very attentive and made sure he received plenty of one-on-one attention. We are very sorry to have to leave this wonderful community. We highly recommend it to any other families currently looking for daycare in the area.

We adore Little Children Schoolhouse. Both our boys went here starting when they were just babies. Our oldest is now 7 and our youngest just graduated this summer to head off to elementary school. The teachers truly adore the children showering them with love and praise and also spending quality time teaching and guiding them. We will miss them greatly. Theyve help shape my little boys to become the tremendous big boys theyve now become.

We have relocated from Israel to the Boston area for a period of two years with kids age 2 and 4. They have both spent two wonderful years at little children schoolhouse (LCSH).LCSH has a vivid multicultural atmosphere since both the teachers and the kids come from various origin. Being exposed to such a variety of cultures is an invaluable and enriching experience very little other places can offer.The teachers are warm, and treat the kids with much love and respect. The caught up English in a few months, and from then started to really take advantage of the curriculum of LCSH.Lissy and Gladys have a lot of experience with kids relocating from a different countries, and especially ones which dont know English yet. Throughout our time there she was very considerate and understanding of the difficulties associated with relocation -- both for the kids and the parents. They have thoroughly and promptly answered our many questions in the last two years. Relocation is a difficult process to a family, and especially for young children. LSCH was a constant source of support, and made our children experience much more pleasant.Overall, the kids were happy and that what matters most!

We were very happy with the care our daughter received here for over a year. We were very sad to leave them when we moved.

My daughter spent nearly 38 months at Little Childrens--from when she was 2.5 to when she started Kindergarten last month. She moved through three age-group classrooms during that time. Every step of the way, the teachers and administration were extremely kind and supportive. My daughter loved the teachers, and we forged lots of friendships with the parents of the other children. My daughter adjusted very well to each of the classrooms.The school also does a nice job of not overloading parents with unnecessary events and communications. There are a few events a year (lemonade sales, mothers and fathers day, and a few others) that parents can optionally attend, but no pressure. Also, the kids take a few field trips a year, and its always manageable.If the goal of daycare is to teach your children while providing a low-stress environment for the parents as well, LCS was perfect for us.

My daughter has been going to Little Children Schoolhouse since she was 3 months old (she is now almost 21months!). She has grown so much (physically and socially). She speaks multiple languages. She absolutely loves her teachers and honestly cannot wait to go to daycare each day. I have felt so happy knowing she is safe and so well taken care of. Id recommend this daycare to anyone and everyone! Were moving to the South Shore soon and I am heartbroken that were having to change daycares!

We had a great experience with Little Children Schoolhouse. All of the staff was excellent, and it really felt like family. It can be hard sending your infant off for daycare but the transition was smooth, communication was great, and I always knew that my son was in good hands. I would definitely recommend LCSH to anyone looking for a caring and stimulating environment for their child. Plus the fact that the daycare was bilingual was fantastic!

Living in Brookline one has a variety of choices as to where to send their children for daycare and preschool. After looking at all our choices and speaking to other families we picked Little Children Schoolhouse for both our son and daughter. We could not be happier with the experience and the love and care our children have received there. One of the pieces that stands out in our mind, most notably, is the amount of hands on activities, experiments, projects, and creative learning that the children do. We have been so happy to see our children excited about learning and exploring. We can not thank Little Children Schoolhouse enough for all they do. We would highly recommend this school to any family.

Both of our sons went to LCSh for 2 years and 1 year respectively. We were devastated when we moved away! They cared for our children as if they were their own, they let the kids move at their own pace, encouraged them to try new things, learn new concepts and to be a good friend. Lissy and her teachers communicated with us daily and we felt like we always knew what was going on with our boys. Lissy’s door was always open to talk through anything that came up. They were proactive in preparing big brother for the arrival of little brother and helped so much with that transition. We miss them and would highly recommend to anyone!

My children grew up at home AND at LCSh. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the owners, their staff, and how gifted they are at nurturing children of all ages. After a grand total of 6 years at Little Children Schoolhouse, our kids have moved on to public school, but we enjoyed our time there so much that we still try to go back to visit our LCSh family!

My daughter started her preschool at the beginning of January 2018. The classrooms of LCS were clean, bright and beautifully decorated. The director and teachers were warm and professional. My daughter looked forward to going to preschool every morning. All the teachers at LCS embraced my daughter and worked hard to make her feel as comfortable as possible. Its clear they had a passion for what they did and took pride in providing a clean and caring environment for the children in their care.We could see our daughter developing as a result of the excellent curriculum provided here. The schedule was filled with amazing activities including YOGA, playground activity, music, swimming, hand-made and so on. My daughters English progresses quickly, and now the communication has been excellent. Each day when I pick her up, she was happy to tell me what she did and what she learned. I love knowing that my daughter was safe, learning and having so much fun at LCS!We recommend it to all our friends and have many friends who go there. The only reason we are leaving is that we are going back to China, and we cant imagine finding another daycare that compares to this one. Thanks LCS, We miss you so much! You are the best.

My son was in LCS for two years - preschool and preK, and we are so glad we chose them. They are especial because the teachers take care of kids with love, friendship and loads of patience. Kids are always laughing, playing and enjoying. They not only teach social skills but also work hard on their education skills. They do many weekly and occasional activities like science experiments, music, yoga, apple picking trip, Halloween parade, and sports day. Sending our child to preschool was the first most difficult choice we made for him, and we are happy to share that we are more than satisfied with LCS and highly recommend them! P.S Kids bring food from home, so that was a plus for us!

This school is absolutely the best school for 3-5-years old kids.My son was in pre-school class for 1 year and pre-k class for 1 year.It was an amazing school life for him and he is still asking to rejoin the school. In particular, pre-k class was fantastic because he could learned lots like science or world history or English also.My daughter was in pre-school for almost 1 year.She also enjoyed the school life and made lots of good friends.And she could learn what the school is already.We really appreciate to lovely staff, warm and friendly environment, professional management and all teachers.I would recommend my friends and family to give the chance for their child to join the pre-school class and pre-k class in this school.

Absolutely the best Pre-K and Kindergarten school. My son was in pre-k class for 1 year. It was an amazing year for him and he still asking to rejoin the school. Lovely staff, warm and friendly environment, Professional management and teachers.We like the events that organized very well and the graduation day was the beautiful memory of the class student and parents.I would recommend my friends and family to give the chance for their child to join the pre-school and involve their child in the unparalleled environment.

LCSH is the best pre-school our children have attended. They could not have been better prepared for public school. LCSH is a very warm and caring school where the teachers form strong loving bonds with the children, and support their development in math, science, art, drama, nutrition, manners etc. They have this balance absolutely spot on... LOVE - EDUCATION - PLAY in equal parts. We will miss LCSH, and highly recommend to other families.

We moved to Brookline about a year ago and started looking for a daycare. Our son was entering pre-K and we were worried he would have a hard time getting used to a new place. It wasnt the case with LCSH: we felt in love with it from the very beginning: teachers are competent, loving and passionate, the facility is new and very well designed with a library/movie room, big classrooms and a sheltered outdoor playground. Our son is always happy to go to LCSH in the morning and he complains he wants to stay more when we go pick him up in the late afternoon. Highly suggested if you are looking for exceptional care in a convenient location.

Little Children’s School House (LCSH) is the BEST childcare facility around. The love and care they show for the children are light years ahead of other programs.They accelerate the children academically to a level where the kids don’t even realize how far advanced they are. My family unfortunately heard about LCSH late and my son was only able to spend one year with them. In that time, he leaned to read, solve math equations, recite numbers, colors and many other words in Spanish. They performed science experiments, he stood up and confidently gave a presentation about a women in history- celebrating women’s month. The kids went on field trips; weekly yoga lessons…the list goes on and on. I am bias in saying that the Pre-K team will love your child like their own and when they leave for kindergarten they will be prepared and ready for the next stage.Thank you LCSH for such a great experience

Update: LCSH is a wonderful place where kids are loved and cared for, with an excellent balance of play and learning. Both my kids were there from 3 months old until kindergarten (my youngest just left to start kindergarten in the fall). They both left feeling confident about who they were and what they knew (including how to read) and feeling like they were loved and celebrated. The teachers are amazingly attentive and caring. I am very pleased with and grateful for the experience my kids had for their first 5 years of life. We will always hold a special place in our hearts for LCSH._____________My four year old is at LCSh, and my six year old just left to start kindergarten. They both started at LCSh when they were three months old. I cant say enough good things about LCSh. The teachers are loving, caring, and kind, while also having high expectations of what kids can do, and the program feels very high caliber. My kids have learned both to be good people and to be learners at LCSh. My kindergartener learned to read there. My kids have also learned Spanish, celebrated Black History Month and Womens History Month, learned about dinosaurs and planets and numbers and more. Theyve gone apple picking and done weekly yoga and drumming classes. For anyone looking for a child care center that values both learning and creating a warm and loving atmosphere, I would highly recommend LCSh.

I have found the extended school by internet before coming in Boston ( Im French): the website is really well built and represent perfectly the school : so I contacted the team by email and we took a appointement to visit the school the day after we arrived in Boston: 3 days later, my two kids started the school ( Infant class: 3 months old and preK-class: 4 years old ).This school is really amazing , we are very satisfied and feel lucky to find it ( a lot learning activities , my son is speaking very well english , better than me! He know also some words in Spanish).My daughter grows up in a good environment with other kids contact and her teachers!Now its time for us to come back in France, thank you so much little children schoolhouse, extended family for this life-experience and to have caring so well my childrenI recommend this school to anyone , especially for expat like us .Long life to LCSh!!!

My daughter started at LCSH as soon as we moved to Brookline in 2014. She had just turned 3 when we began, and just graduated in August to move on to kindergarten. I cant say enough good things about LCSH. We immediately felt fully at ease with the school, and it was clear that our daughter was happy, well cared for and thriving. The teachers are warm and committed and the kids have a great time (and learn a lot too). For two weeks up to her birthday party my daughter kept insisting that we invite all her teachers to her party, and asked us many times over our 2 years at LCSH to set up playdates with her teachers - she really loved them. The community is made up of a wonderful group of parents, and my daughter made great friends that I know shell keep over the years. I look forward to everyone re-uniting at camps, sports teams and eventually the high school. The classrooms are great, and the kids really learn a lot. While we werent particularly concerned about having lessons at this age, I was very impressed with how much the teachers did, and how much my daughter talked about the science experiments they conducted in class (and really seemed to understand key concepts!). LCSH is a great place if youre looking for a warm, supportive and fun daycare or preschool for your childs early years.
