I can say with complete confidence that my son would not be where he is today academically or personally if it werent for Sage Academy. The size of the school allows the staff a tremendous amount of latitude for one-on-one teaching when needed. It is a very passionate and compassionate staff where even the aides have their masters degrees. Meaning not only do they care, but they are properly trained and educated to help your child. Couldnt imagine how different his life would be had we not found Sage Academy!

I previously went to Sage Academy this year and I can say it’s by far the worst school I’ve ever heard of. The staff is very rude to students, there’s a lot of favoritism with staff an students. The staff is not understanding at all. The food is terrible, they run out, most of the time lunch is has to be pushed an hour later because of delivery. Half the time you can’t even tell what youre eating. And the amount of drama that goes on there is extremely excessive, for being such a small school. I can’t even express how bad of a time your child will have at this school. They do not resolve student conflict in an efficient manner at all. Punishments are either to drastic or nothing happens at all. Students are terrible, there wasn’t one kid there that I actually liked.

Sage Academy is a small project based school based in Brooklyn Park, MN. At the time of my attendance there were approximately less than 90 students (class of 2016). The fact that classes are not packed, reinforces positively students-teachers interactions. The teachers and even aides usually know you by name and this actually is a way to make you feel more comfortable in this big family that Sage is. The school is super inclusive regardless of race, sex or/and gender. Many people felt welcome during my time there, including I, who is black.Once again, reminder that this is a SMALL public high school (which means full of teens). At times, it is expected to be some problems or people who feel that their business is being minded by other people but this is like ANY other school in any countries. The school itself nor the professors do not have anything to do with these kind of things because these are teens related issues (he says/she says or peer pressure etc). These are issues that arise in any high schools and counselors at Sage WILL actually try to mediate between parties when these problems arises as observed during my year there. The best bet would be to discuss things directly at the source (communication is important in every aspect of life) if you observe something is wrong or you do not agree with certain things or policies. As for I, personally, this school helped me grow in only a year. Teachers helped me step out of my comfort zone and pushed me to be the best that I ever could be. I left for college with a newfound confidence. There were teachers that I did not really like but this personal opinion will never have an effect on my opinion that Sage academy is a school where you can achieve a lot and can expect to have teachers closely (because of the small size) interact with you and push you to your full potential.

The small school atmosphere at SAGE Academy sets many students up for greater success. The teachers know each student well. Project based learning is a hands on approach wherein students enjoy the lessons and remember the experiences. Another benefit is the diversity in this school. Students are welcomed and feel included. SAGE is an excellent place for my son, and were excited about his progress and opportunities.

Sage Academy was a blessing for my daughter. She started, January 2017 after transferring from a large, neighborhood school. While attending the other school, she felt overwhelmed and invisible.Sage Academy has helped to bring my daughter out of her shell. The teachers and staff actually know her name and they genuinely care about her as a person.I am a early childhood educator who embraces diversity. My daughter is African American and Native American. This school welcomes and embraces her heritage. She has learned to be proud of who she is while respecting others and their backgrounds.Sage Academy has made learning fun, challenging, and exciting. My son, who graduated high school 2012, asked me this past Christmas, why wasn’t Sage Academy an option for him when he was in high school. This is a great school and a perfect fit for my daughter!

The administration profiled my son, because of his very dark skin and dreadlocks. They lied on my son on several occasions. They were trying to label him as a BULLY ( a lie )!! A SEX OFFENDER ( A lie )!! all so I would take him out or they were gonna kick him out. 7 strikes you out. I immediately removed my son out of there. They were setting him up for failure!!!...who would have thought. All the years my son been in school struggling with acedimics.Never accused of any of the above....I Say SHAME ON YOU!!!! sage academy!!!!

Sage Academy has been a game-changer for my son. The small student-staff ratio is such a help for teens. The caring staff help make students sure they complete their work. Project-based learning is such a practical and reak-life way to learn. I wish it were available in more schools. My son enjoys and looks forward to the monthly excursions. He has learned a lot from his experiences at Sage Academy. I highly recommend this school!

Sage is a small school its good for students with behavior issues but it isnt a good school if youre really looking to learn. Teachers are disrespectful and are not understand of students for the most part. There are some really grea teachers here that only want the best for students but some are really bad and judgemental. I wouldnt recoment sending you child here unless its because behavior issues. This school you loose credits if youre abesent even if excused and can get expelled if they even gear your phone ring or vibrate. They run out of food as many as 1 time a week and youre not allowed to being outside food in so kids have to go hungry. I feel this could be a really good school if changes were made.
