I was 2 school in other countries and I can say that this school is different of the rest. Fantastic school to learn english. Great views ,good facilities and the organization was excellent. Classes are small. Not more than 8 pupils. It was a good point for me.

Well, all teachers are nice and helpful. But there is one unpleasant issue. 2/3 of conversation classes I heard about guys like Malcolm X, Spike Lee, Martin Luther, etc. and about problems of black people in the US. It was completely brainwashing experience. The attention given to this topic is absolutely disproportionate. I never owned slaves, and neither did my ancestors. I didnt want to hear about that SO much. As an international student, I expected to talk on international topics that are universal to all the people in the world. Have you ever heard that the outer world existed? If you are so obsessed with the discrimination practices I suggest some international topics: Pol Pot, Kim Jong-il, Stalin, Hitler, Pinochet and groups who resisted them.

Being in this school was an amazing experience, the staff is so kind and willing to help every student to feel comfortable. All the students I met there were so friendly! The classes are perfect size, my class was like 6 students, so the teacher can focus more on each student. In particular, the classes are so well prepared, I had classes with two very good teachers that I can recommend with my eyes closed: Joanie and Madi.

Amazing teachers, cozy place, great location and wonderful view of New York. We feel at home at the school. The tours every monday and wednesday are very pleasant and help a lot to improve your english. The classes are not full of people, giving time to everybody to participate. It is a creative, relaxing and very professional enviromnent. I will miss the school and hope to come back. I recommend this school for everybody.

Actually, I found BSL by Linguland and went to New York to enhance my business english. Very marvelous environment! Beautiful view! The building is surrounded by Skyscrappers, a lot of opportunities to take some food and also close to the famous Brooklyn Bridge. If you are on the brinck of visiting the school, join one of the popular Walking tours and ask Madison for the real meaning of the DUMBO. It is not an elephant! There is also a bunch of activities on the schedule plan to join.Recommendation for education program, office team and teacher:5 Stars for witty teacher5 Stars for helpful and pretty polite office staff5 Stars for talking to the students and correcting them immediatlyGo for it!

I have visited some of the best schools in the whole Manhattan looking for the best place to study English as a second language for me so I spent a week doing it while I stayed in a hotel. I could not make up my mind until I went to this school... To be honest, I had compared Brooklyn School of Languages with the rest of the schools in Manhattan and the aspects I considered to enroll in this one are, in 1st place I could feel their teaching english it isnt for a business like I could perceive in other schools. Students are mostly no adolescent so during classes the topics are for adult people. And most of the student ages varies from 20 to 30 and almost all of them Europeans student. Not crowded and thats important because teachers have more time for each student. Couzy. The subway to get to the school it is at the front door of the building. The owner is always there interacting and running the place. Finally you do Not need F1 visa so it means if you are on vacations you can enroll for the time of the stay in the USA and it isnt ilegal at all. Finally the view is so so awesome..... look my pics.... I am Venezuelan by the way.
