This school has some potential, but really doesnt show it at its fullest. I think this school can have some remodeling done on each building, maybe a deep cleanout will do... because each building stinks!

WORST SCHOOL TO SEND YOUR CHILD TO. constant harassment and bullying. majority the student body is atrocious. fellow student emailed explicit images of a minor to the principal and got no punishment! school TARGETS students. is less focused on the mental of the students than the schools reputation. if the school took time to take care of their students and ensure they feel safe and happy, an improvement could be seen. being out of glynn academy changed my life for the better in every way possible. thats what you DONT want to hear. leaving a school should not make your childs life better. a school should not be that bad. needs new faculty. students should not feel judged or ashamed when seeking help and should NEVER be targeted, instead helped to become better children. unfortunately glynn academy has let me down on every aspect and has only made my hopes for further schooling (college) less desired.

Outstanding school. Probably the best school i have attended in Glynn County. Great teachers and students. Not to mention the best football team!!!

I feel that the school is not very up to date some of the teacher are good , some are excellent, while others need improvement .. I am attending this school now and I really dont like it.. I still feel new to the school and Im half way into the semester(Im a Junior, a transfer student from Brunswick high school) ,to be honest Glynn Academy wants you to succeed in life because they do challenge you but the way their going about it is wrong to me, because where teaching our selves

There are some people that say wow you are so lucky to have an open campus for a school but it does have its pros and consCons 1 The rain it rains here ALOT and it is a real mood killer showing up at your next class drenchd in rain 2 The neighborhood on one side of the school is REALLY ghetto. The Albany st side of Glynn Academy is not the best part of town I wonder who said Lets put some housing projects next to a school that has been here for over 200 yrs. but whoever did isnt realltythat smart people dont want to have to live in fear 3. IDs the WHOLE school day you MUST wear a school issued ID arround your neck it is constricting and most people dont even wear it anyway.pros: Sometimes its good to get a breath of fresh air. it is nice to go outside for a little while every day and relax (On days that it isnt raining or Cold) 2. You are not forced into gaint hallways with lockers and people bumping into you all the time. (You have a little more personal space) and 3. you get to eat lunch outside like a picnic.I think its funny that we have Golf Cart riding SROs and that the Golf carts are reserved for Faculty and SROs only. Most of the buildings have been renovated. The Science building is the only one that needs updating now. I dont know why they call it the science building if it also hosts all of the English classes as well. but good luck getting all of the science techers supplies and Labs moved somewhere else. Another thing is the drugs There is an awful lot of Marijuanna in the school and the JUULs. I also think that they need to add technology into the classroom. It my old school everybody got a chromebook to have and to use for educational purpouses throughout the schoolyear. That is the end of my rant. feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Glynn academy has some great teachers, and a wonderful staff however countless students are dangerous hoodlums who only seem to fight and play their obnoxious music, the campus is also generally dirty and cluttered. In addition several of the buildings are well over do for maintenance.

The teachers are nice but a lot of problems are here in the school.There is a lot of drugs in the school, i mean a lot! And the hours are pretty bad i go to school at 8:10 to 3:30 (i am a transfer from California and i had school from 8:30 to 2:45) we get like no days off and early days are kind of rare, we get off of school on the 26th of may, which is the near the 3rd quarter of spring, and i come back in agust 11th (California i got off in june 10th to August 26th), in the middle of summer. Our spring break is a week AFTER easter, so if i want to travel for easter i cant. And the school is very dirty and smelly. Most of the bathrooms dont even have working soap dispensers or hand drawers or paper towels at all! And im pretty sure in one of the buildings has mold growing on the walls. I say the only real good things about this school is the teachers, they are very friendly and many students take advantage to that. I would really love to see improvements in this school. All in all i say students get too much school, days off are poorly placed, drugs are way to high, and many students take a lot advantage over the extremely nice teachers. As a student in the school i will have to say the education is decent.

Theres a new stench in every building every day, no urinal dividers either. I have never seen toilet paper in a single bathroom.

I go here Im a sophomore Im. New this year its September Im going to give it a little bit more time to see.
