I took my flying lessons at Spinks Flight Center in 2010 when they were still Part 141. My instructor(s) were gracious with their time. Their training allowed me to solo at 14 hours and get my PPL at 37 hours. They were flexible enough to allow me to fly in the evenings and on Sundays. The entire staff is professional and sincerely interested in your success. Very proud to highly recommend the school.

The airport itself is great with a nice long paved runway, grass strip, and a part time tower. Located at the edge of the Class B airspace around DFW, getting in and out of Spinks Airport is a breeze. Spinks flight center has been the best decision I made 5 years ago to complete my cfii. It was a great environment for flight training with low traffic. The flight training rates are very affordable with greatly maintained aircraft. The management team has always been supportive and positive. Whatever your adventures maybe from private pilot, to your multi engine training, this is the place to be. I’ve also been working at Spinks flight center for 4 years now as a cfi. I’ve been so impressed with the quality of training I received that I’m happily paying it forward to all our customers. I really enjoy working here, it provides a very laidback environment. Spinks airport is a great place for flight training in a controlled airspace. Over the years I’ve learned a lot here and thanks Gina and Mike for everything they do for the training center.
