My second child is now making his way through the ranks of Kerr. Both of my kids seemed to be happy here. The teachers, for the most part, are nice and seem to care about their students. The front office staff are great. Its and old school, but theyve done a great job of keeping it up for all the new kids who pass through. Thank you to the Kerr staff for taking care to teach my children!

Even this school is new, it still isnt the best. Yeah different learning style but bad execution. Too much work in some classes.

I like the school. I just think it needs more space for people to walk and for people to care less about dress code ( still enforce it tho) also HAVE MORE FUN.

This place is terrible. Dont send your child here its basiclly a dictatorship where you cant try and change the rules. you get written up for giving high fives and other intentional physical contact

The school needs to have better food at lunch. They have a strict dress code we should be able to where are regular clothes, they are making our families waist money on clothes we cant wear everywhere. The teachers yell at the boys way more then girls. For example my friend Cole Confessore got yelled at for having a TCU sweatshirt and was givin an ASD

Hope youll find this review a bit helpful, but Im voicing out my opinions. Dont worry, Kerr Middle School is great, as long as you know how to get through the obstacles you face in this so called, Prison. Its not. Go ask your parents for tips! See how they got through middle school themselves. (I guess i cant make a second review so this is all I will say) The school isnt perfect, so thats why I only rated 4 Star.Anyways, let me introduce myself. Im a regular sixth grader, and Im looking forward on going to seventh grade next year. As of right now, the school is great actually.Let me point out some honest cons about the school, and this is my opinion.CONS:-Dress Code. Okay, its not actually that bad, but the school could at least give us the choice of wearing any kind of sweater or jacket we want, but my theory is that they dont want students to be wearing inappropriate wear. BUT, why cant they just tell the students what NOT to wear for sweater uses? Whats wrong with wearing any sweater you want? Plus, we already have the, Shirts tucked in rule and the mandatory clothing. Why cant we express ourselves with different jackets and sweaters?-Drama and Behavior Problems. There will obviously be these kind of problems. It is either the parents who arent teaching their kid the right manners or maybe its the childs friends or classmates they hangout with. (Its mainly the parents. Trust me. Child learns everything from them) Kerr Students are nice actually, as long as youre not the person to tick them off. By the way, Im only a sixth grader and my knowledge of behavior problems and drama isnt that much of to an extent, but Im helping out the best I can. In order to stay away from ASD (After School Detention) or, ISS (In School Suspension) just dont do stupid things. If youre just trying to show off to your friends so they can think youre cool, dont do that. There is plenty of other students who will understand you being you, and not being some stuck up knucklehead. Those kind of people are hella annoying. Okay, time for the DRAMA problem. IT IS MAINLY ABOUT DATING PROBLEMS. FOR CHRIST SAKE YOU GUYS ARE ONLY MIDDLE SCHOOLERS. People who create drama, are either stupid/jealous/fake and dont understand how others feel. I mean, the drama in Kerr can either be a small thing, but people have the urge to put more into it, which will make it a big deal, and that would probably cause a Fight. Oh yeah, there is fights in Kerr. Trust me, theyre stupid too. But some of the teachers make an effort to actually stop the whole dang fight, but I dont get how the students just VIDEO but not actually report it?? Who knows. I know for sure dont want to experience a fight. And besides, Im too smart to get in one. Like, whats the point? You guys would rather show action instead of just talking it out with the other person? Why are people so lazy to dig deeper to get an understanding instead of just base it off from the rumors or drama? Sorry my generation isnt in a healthy condition right now please stand by. IM JOKING. Anyways, yeah. dont involve yourself in those stupid dramas. Everyone isnt perfect sometimes, and you deal with different kinds of people from time to time.Time for pros!PROS:-academics are great! i just feel bad for the teachers because sometimes students just completely give up and dont want to show effort in getting good grades, OR they just dont care at all. Teachers will always try their best in order for their students to succeed in life. The reason why they get mad? Because theyre frustrated in you, that you dont do anything and the teacher wants you to do a better job! If you dont want them to get mad at you always, then just listen to them! Have some discipline! Okay yes, sometimes the teachers will make mistakes from time to time, misunderstanding you from something that you actually didnt do thats why you complain about them, but hey. Everyone makes mistakes. Hope you guys understand that. (MY VIEWPOINT.)

The school food is terrible and strict dress-code. I got 1 ASD for having a Nike sweater on, witch the Nike symbol was the size of a half dollar

This is our first year and we have 2 eighth graders. It has been a nightmare. The office staff is some of the worst that Ive ever seen and the rules are ridiculous. Hoping I can find a different option before my daughter starts middle school next year.

Worst school my kid got in to 10 fights in 1 school year never going to this school agian
