My grand daughter took lessons for the week while she was visiting. I wasnt impressed. It was very expensive for what they do. She spent most of the week standing on a platform in the water. When the session ended today, her teacher said, She cant quite put her head under yet. She needs to work on her confidence in the water. My grand daughter is a fish in the water. She can swim under water on her own for a few feet. She wasnt even given the opportunity to try. After 4 days, they had no concept of her ability and she certainly didnt improve. She said it was boring and she doesnt want to go back tomorrow. I dont blame her. I dont think the staff are very enthusiastic.

Used to be great, but they have a bunch of new young staff and they weren’t trained properly. My daughter doesn’t have a consistent teacher. She had been making great progress and could swim underwater. Now she gets treated like a baby and barely does anything during her lesson. When there is a different teacher every week, it’s impossible for them to know the kids abilities. I’m wasting my money. Goldfish has certain techniques that make their lessons great, but the teachers are halfway doing everything. Like, the kids are supposed to learn to climb out on their own but now they just get plopped on the wall. It’s like this with everything. They’re checking boxes with very little effort and they don’t seem to care. You would care if it was your child and your hard earned money. All the parents sit and grumble in the viewing area. Last week a new boy started and his mother and I witnessed him get screamed at at the end of class for splashing. Welcome to Goldfish. He’s 4! If you don’t like kids, quit! The only reason we’re still going is because lessons used to be great and I’m holding on to the hope that they are still training the staff. The last 2 months have been such a disappointment.

I’m so frustrated. My 4 year old son takes lessons here and it used to be the best part of his week. Lately, it’s a bunch of untrained children instructing. My son cried for the first time ever at lessons today. He has a new teacher every single week and they have almost all been terrible. My son has been getting overwhelmed with it. We have attended Goldfish since he was 5 months old with no tears. This week he broke. He sobbed on the island for 30 minutes while being completely ignored by both instructors. They made no attempt to be playful or comfort him. The instructors were not confident. You could tell they had no idea what to do. These are the most expensive swimming lessons in the area. It used to be well worth the money. Not anymore. I know COVID happened and they had to let people go and then hire again, but this is unacceptable. They need to shut down for 2 weeks and train the staff! Or at least have someone who can supervise lessons and pick out the staff who need more training.

Very minimal contact time between trainer and trainee (at time 4 children with 1 instructor within 30 minutes). Classes are canceled on holidays without further compensatory arrangements. I missed 4 classes which equates to a full paid month. In general I didnt feel satisfied.

Goldfish has fantastic covid protocols in place. They check temps, require face coverings, have dots to stand on while waiting and instructors wear face shields. Chairs for parents are spaced out and sprayed down after every class. Changing rooms are cleaned after every use. We can relax and enjoy without having a lot of concerns about covid. On top of that our sons swimming has greatly improved. He was swallowing water a lot whole swimming even with a float, but now can swim for several feet underwater with no problems. We feel much better about his safety in the water.

We went 4 seasons to the YMCA and my boys never put their head under the water even one time. Within one lesson at Goldfish my boys were happily putting their head under water and within 4 lessons they could swim. I am so impressed. A special shout out to our instructor Brandon who has made swimming lessons a fun experience for my boys; it’s now a highlight of their week.

I am so impressed by everything of the Goldfish Operations. From the pleasant greetings of the staff, you can feel the smile under the masks, to the exceptional non-stop cleaning procedures, to the joy that the teachers give to our children. Thank you for creating joy and normalcy during the classes. I am so grateful for Goldfish and so proud to be a member.

My kids both take swim lessons here and we love it! The facility is very clean and they have changing rooms, lockers and an area for drying swimsuits and blow drying hair. The class sizes are small which makes it manageable and the instructors are able to keep the kids attention and allow them ample time to practice their skills during the 30 minute session. I love that parents are invited poolside at the end of the lesson so they instructors can give updates on how the kids are doing with certain skills.

The the teacher turnover is insane at this school. My child frequently has a different teacher every week, which impacts his ability to build a relationship with his teacher and therefore impacts the speed in which hes developing his skills. My child looks forward to going every week and has been making progress, but it would be a 5-star program if there was any consistency in instructors.

Overall this is a great facility. My 3 year old has been taking lessons here for about 10 weeks and has become more confident in the water. The only down sides are; 1.) We were told that they would have 30 min of pool time but in reality they get about 25. 2.) The larger concern is that when we signed her up we were told she would have the same instructor every week. This is not the case. Her group has had 5 to 6 different instructors in the 10 week time frame. By the time the kids get comfortable with the instructor they switch on them.

I love goldfish swim and their staff. My little one has been struggling and they are so understanding and continue to encourage him throughout each class. I have received endless support on my end as a parent and they have been so compassionate. The classes are only 30 minutes but they are completely worth the money! The service that my child and I are receiving deserves 5 stars!

Skilled instructors with whom a child feels comfortable after a class or two. This is a big thing because once a child trusts an instructor, he/she is following the instructions carefully and has a trust. Also, the make-up lessons facility is helpful to manage personal schedule needs.

I called to cancel my daughter’s enrollment. Later after three months found they kept charging my credit card. When called they explained , that there is 30 day notice required along with that you have to physically go there and fill a form to cancel enrollment. This is not the best business model. Why should I make another trip to fill another form to cancel??? They put 4 kids to 30 min slot, you loose 5 min to get in and , effectively you only get 5 min per kid per week. They charge $25 per class/week. Make math. This is day loot.

We had our one year old daughter here for around 3-4 months, once a week. Its great. That are small personal classes and a lifesaving skill they are teaching babies. Ive said from day one to my wife I want our babies to learn how to swim as soon as possible because Ive personally known someone who lost their 3 year old that fell in a pool and didnt know what to do.Cant recomend Goldfish enough.

I think its great that kids are learning to swim early. My 2 boys started learning to swim before they were 1 YO. Today, they can swim like fishes. The facility and parking are a HUGE problem. I have worked down the street for the past 2 decades. I drive by Goldfish Swim School 2 times a day. Its an industrial park with a relatively small road. Until GFSS moved in, there were always NO PARKING SIGNS on that side of the street, since there was no room to park on the street. GFSS took down the no parking signs. Now, the entire street fills up on BOTH SIDES with oversized SUVs. There is often only enough room for one car to drive between in the evening. THEN ... there are the privileged parents that lead their little children right into the street in front of on-coming traffic. This is horrible.I hope the owner reads this, takes the situation to heart (rather than the wallet), and does the right thing. If not, it wont be long before a child gets hit by a car ... and this warning will leave you with lifelong guilt, if not legal liability. You have been warned.Parents ... please park in the parking lot if possible. Its YOUR child, after all. Please be responsible for everyones sake.

My son is a good 4 year old boy but generally takes a while warming up to people. He was ecstatic about starting swim classes until I told him that today was the day they start. He screamed and cried that he didnt want to go and the first two classes he cried for about 5 minutes each time. By the end of the second week however, he was asking me to go to class everyday saying is today swim day, I really want to go. I think his teacher did a phenomenal job getting my son to feel comfortable and safe. In fact my son has sensory issues and hates getting dirty or wet especially on his face but without hesitation my son felt confident to go under the water for 5 seconds with his coach. The small group setting is awesome and in just a short time have seen amazing progress.

The 5 days per week lesson was key for learning to swim. My daughter learned in 1 week. Beats 8 wks of lessons where you have to go with them into the pool. Its tough when you have more than one kid. So I loved being able to drop off my daughter and view from the glass room with my son.

When you want to terminate services you PHYSICALLY have to go in to sign the withdrawal form. They will not under any circumstance (sickness, death) email the withdrawal form to you to scan and send back in.When I expressed how we could not get over there to sign the form and asked if they could email it I was told they do not do that.We were going to sign back up in the Fall, however we will be avoiding GoldFish Swim School and telling all our friends to leave ASAP.There is absolutely no reason why Goldfish of Burlington can’t email withdrawal forms for families who cannot get over to their office to physically terminate services.Another side note. The place is absolutely barbaric on the weekends. The building is too small. People cutting people in line waiting for changing stalls, no parking spots, grown adults opening stalls when people are using them, and absolutely no chairs available during class. If you like spending your weekends in chaos and jumping through hoops to terminate classes, this is your place.
