We have attended Beacon Hill for two years. We came in with a 4th and 5th grader after homeschooling while living in Israel. Shortly after we arrived, Covid-19 hit and we had to go to at-home learning. Beacon Hill went above and beyond and within a day the teachers had lesson plans and Zoom calls set up and ready to go. Our kids never missed a beat. We were able to go back to in-person learning as early as the end of September 2020. In every situation that was thrown at them they were professional and made not only the parents but the students feel safe and for life to feel as normal as possible. Our kids teachers have been incredible, as well as the staff. We are so grateful for Beacon Hill and the way they love truth, beauty, and goodness. Academically and socially our kids are thriving - the community of Beacon Hill is a treasure-we were welcomed in immediately, as were our kids. We look forward to the years ahead!

Hi all, Ive recently gotten a message from the higher ups of BHCA in regards to my 1 star review. Ive decided to give more information here regarding my decision and potentially warn others who might see this review.I am actually a BHCA Alumni. I went to the school since its inception in 2009 and left in my 7th grade year for multiple reasons. Im not sure if there is a word limit on this review, so I will try to explain these warnings briefly. At my time at Beacon Hill, I loved the first few years and the teaching was great. Theology was solid, etcetera etcetera. But then, the former headmaster Devin Smith decided to step down and gave leadership of the school to his colleague, Dennis Deutch (hope Im spelling that right). As soon as Dennis took over, the quality of life in the school started to drop drastically. He wanted the school to have more of a social media presence and popularity rather than keep the students spiritually fed and taken care of, resulting in the acceptance of a multitude of students of whom were very clearly not Christian and not nice people. Within just a couple of years my life (and the lives of many of my friends) started to become worse and worse as we found ourselves suddenly in a school that turned a blind eye to bullying and did not spiritually care for the students. Multiple times the headmaster rejected complaints and pleas from my friends and I when we were suffering. The only solace we were able to find was hiding every lunch break and hoping people would avoid us when we were forced to be together.Additionally, I regret to inform any parents who are hoping to get their children a good Christian education that in my final year at BHCA, the headmaster willingly hired a teacher who believed in obviously non-Christian principles like evolution and allowed her to use an evolution-based science textbook in our classes. Another student and I openly confronted her one class, stating that the Bible said that God created everything, to which she replied, its debatable. I was a very shy and timid person then, but if I had the courage and strength I was able to grow away from that schools toxic environment, I would have stood up to her and did something about it. And while I have been away from the school for some time now, I cannot imagine that quality of life or teaching has gone up; since I was informed by a couple friends who stuck around the year after I left that the situations had only deteriorated and showed no sign of slowing down.If the communications director or whoever complained about my one star comment still has questions, or if anyone else would like to ask me more about my BHCA experiences, you can find my email under the About page of my YouTube channel (Arrayave). I will delete any spam but Id be happy to answer honest emails. Thank you for your time.- Arrayave

BHCA strives to create an academic environment as well as one of discipleship. Students do not just receive an excellent education in the classical liberal arts, they are also trained up in the wisdom and admonition of the Lord through daily chapels and the godly example of staff and faculty. I truly believe that this model is one that works, and the difference can be seen as soon as a visitor steps foot on our campus. Students are kind and gracious, and stand up when visitors enter the classroom. Students and faculty alike raise their hands in worship each and every morning. Academic excellence is expected, but so is excellence of character.
