Take heed to all the bad reviews about LEAP. A majority are valid. I enrolled my child in LEAP based on all the great things I heard about it. After 3 days of attending, I removed my child from the school. There were too many red flags within that short timeframe. I knew that if I kept my child at LEAP they’d fall behind. This school isn’t teaching as promised on their website. In addition, the administration is extremely unorganized. You’d do your child a HUGE disservice by sending them to LEAP.

During Covid-19, Leap Academy has made the best attempt to deliver food and offer assistance whenever the families needed it. Leap has been a life-changing experience for my family. My children have been only in Charter Schools growing up in the city and Leap is one of the best schools they have ever attended in Camden, NJ. You could look at all the reviews and make a choice from there but just because someone had a bad experience doesnt mean that you are your child would. This is absolutely a Great School. Leap gives hope to our children to become suitable to attend school even if I moved out of the city. My children will be well prepared for their next journey, wherever we live because of the great learning. I attend College and their work is College Prep material. Thank you Leap Academy for everything you have done in the Black and Brown Community, as well as the Puerto Rican Community. Make the best decision for your children, regardless of any negative and positive comments. You should make a decision for the best school choice for your families! Both of my children LLLLOOOVVVVEEEE their School. There are opportunities for the parents as well. Also, Leap starts from pre-school all the way to High School. I dont know about you, but I would look into what this school has to offer first before any judgement. When I found out my children have been accepted to Leap, Doors started opening and I have been seeing all the talents that I have never seen in my children before. My daughter came to school and forgot to eat breakfast. While they were lining up she went to go get breakfast and the principal would not allow her to get breakfast because she had all that time to chit chat. So my daughter went and the lunch ladies told her that the principal said dont give her any breakfast. This school needs some serious help. Cheap Academy

Leap lost its sizzle a few years ago. There should be a structured disciplinary code put in place. The kids can basically get away with anything there. They need to hire teachers that teach and not a person that goes for a pay check and to gossip worse than the kids. STEP your game up LEAP!!

Parking is very limited and only available if you arrive 1 hour early. If youre not there an hour early to save a parking then youre left going in circles until someone else leaves. By the time you find parking you risk picking up your child late to which then youll get charged a dollar a minute. If that wasnt enough now parents arent allowed to cross at the crosswalk to the school. For some it is not a problem, but for others especially grandparents that cannot walk far distances, its a burden.

If i could give it zero i would! The most unorganized immature adults ive even seen! They dint have any discipline for kids who are constantly hitting your child especially when it comes to boys hitting girls. The principle needs a different career she had no idea what she is doing. The vice principal needs to be re evaluated and checked out. To much going on in this school need to shut down!!!!

Leap academy have no consideration for parents or children catching the bus. I waited at my bus stop with my children along with other parents for a hour the bus never came. leap told me that our stop isn’t a legal bus stop anymore after multiple days of waiting for the bus in 95 degree weather. Leap knew the bus stop changed they still gave me a bus ticket They didn’t tell me anything about the bus changing until it was brought to their attention. This is something that should of been said the first day of school. I still don’t know where my child stop is I left several voicemails with the lady In charge of the bus an nobody returned my phone calls. As a working mother this is really unacceptable. Leap academy is very unorganized and inconsiderate parents should know these things when they first occur not after the fact.

January 15 is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a federal holiday and a day of remembrance. Martin Luther King, Jr. dedicated his life to creating and fostering equal rights for African Americans, and he died during his efforts to make his dream a reality. Very DISRESPECTFUL, especially for African American Children that Leap does not respect Dr. Martin Luther King Day as a ferderal holiday. Leap Academy is Very DISRESPECTFUL with no standards or values.

I CAN NOT STAND THIS SCHOOL. this school is literally the worst in Camden, everyone thinks its so great until you get in. I instantly regretted my choice of this school. barely no teachers, no parking and no moneyy. i would not wish this school upon my worst enemy. wayyyy to strict and on top of that all their bathrooms are locked. this is by-far the worst school i have ever seen. All the kids hate it there. DONT RECOMMEND.

This place is very unorganized! Once they take your jackets and hoodies away, they’ll place it all in a trash bag and let anybody come in and take any hoodie they want, even stealing them at the end of the day. That’s how I got my hoodie stolen and I wasn’t even wearing my hoodie, it was laying next to my bag. If your hoodies get stolen, good luck finding them

The discipline of the 9th grade class of 2021 is, I would say bad. I say this because I have seen them destroy the school, which led to the entire class of 2021 having to suffer the consequences. Overall the most of the teachers are fair and are good.

If I could give the school a lower review I would. First I took my daughter out of a school where she was doing excellent, because of a bus situation. Now Im thinking I shouldve walked my daughter to school instead of choosing Leap Academy Charter School, within the first week my daughter was being bullied, by a month she had gotten in a fight (defending herself) by the second report card she had failed one class and gotten a D in another (from being on the Deans list at her previous school), then a female student who wanted my daughter to do something wrong threatened my daughters life when my daughter refused to do wrong she then told my daughter Im going to go home in my basement and get my moms gun and shoot you, cause my mom is a cop. Not only did the school not contact me or her mother but no one mentioned it when I came to pick her up and i purposely made myself visible to two vice principals and still no one said anything, her mother then went to the school the next day, of course they do not want to expell this girl, I DO NOT FELL COMFORTABLE KNOWING THAT THIS GIRL THREATENED MY DAUGHTERS LIFE AND IS IN THE SAME, NOT ONLY SCHOOL BUT CLASS TOO, THAT TO ME IS GIVING THIS CHILD A CHANCE FOR RETALIATION, AND IM NOT TRYING TO GAMBLE WITH MY CHILDS LIFE. IF SHES DOESNT GET EXPELLED IM WITHDRAWING MY CHILD IMMEDIATELY. #NOTASAFESCHOOL

Leap academy should be named Cheap academy. I feel like the decipline should increase. Also, the princibal is trash.

They arent allowing my child to use the bathroom at all they have 10 floors and all are locked. The security is terrible plenty of fights happen and no break ups happened this school is very well how i say worthless !

This school has no parking and we received over 7 tickets either picking up or dropping off our child!

Leap Its the worst school in Camden, I transferred my daughter to this school on January 2 of this year, and she is already in her old school, since my k girl is in 3rd grade they never left her Homework and she always had a substitute, the other children were bullying all the time, their teachers never took action on this problem until the day came k my daughter had a fight of which the teacher saw everything and instead of correcting my daughter told k hard to the other girl, my daughter was suspended for the fight and my girl tells me that the main one said bad words on her face and while I was talking so stuck her face was spitting her face when she spoke, and then I told her MY VISTA, I was so helpless and I have, because this lady did not want to see me to talk about the situation of how I speak to my daughter of only 8 years, I will make a report in the Camden school district and I will go to the end with this...
