My granddaughter started taking lessons there last year, and I must say that her teacher, Ms Sharon Collver has really helped to instill an even deeper love for music by encouraging her and helping her bring out her best Morgan looks forward to her weekly lesson. Eric, the shop owner is very friendly as well as his entire staff! I would highly recommend Canton Music Shoppe for all your musical needs!

I bid 4000.00 on a Gibson Gold Top guitar listed at 4,999.00 . They countered my offer with 5,299.00?? I’ve never heard of anything like this.The store counter to my offer was more than the original price?? That’s so wrong. Hoof luck dealing with these guys.

I read a few reviews that were hard on customer service at this store. I’m not sure how, my experience was fabulous. The manager, Eric(?), was super helpful, professional and explained things well. Also, the prices seemed very good. I actually canceled an Amazon order after making my small purchase at the shop. I expected to pay more to touch and try before I bought the product, but it just wasn’t the case here. Fairly priced, professional service and great products.

Great prices, excellent customer service, and high quality instruments. I was in the market for a hybrid crossover classical guitar and had already tried two instruments from the big box online vendors. Eric offered to special order an Alvarez Cadiz series guitar at a price much lower than the online vendors. And the purchase included a free in-house set up to my specifications. The result was a beautiful, easy-to-play instrument that I look forward to playing everyday. Jesse, the in-house luthier, does outstanding work. Eric also offers quality used equipment . Canton Music Shoppe has become my go to stop for all things guitar related, including maintenance of my other acoustic guitars. Well worth a visit.

I was looking online for a local music shop because my ukulele had some minor damage that I was looking to get fixed. Once I found the Canton Music Shoppe, I called them to find out how much it would cost to fix. I spoke to Adam who was very kind, friendly and knowledgeable. The price for my repair was more than fair, MUCH better than what I was expecting. And he did a great job with the repair too. My ukulele is perfect now and I couldnt be happier. The other staff members at the store were also very friendly. The instruments they sell there are all fairly priced too. The whole experience really brightened my day. Even though I didnt spend much money at the store, I was still made to feel like a highly valued customer and for that they have earned a new loyal customer in me. I will be going to them for all my future instrument needs and purchases.This is why I make it a point to support local business over major chains whenever possible. The Canton Music Shoppe gives you a level of customer service that you just dont get with large chain music stores. This was my first experience with The Canton Music Shoppe and it certainly wont me by last.

Our family uses Canton Music Shoppe for everything we need to support our musical endeavors! We have rented instruments, purchased instruments and equipment, taken lessons, and attended camps at the shop. We have never been disappointed! Our instructors have been very talented and inspiring. The prices for lessons and products are very competitive. The staff is always extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I am so glad that our community has these guys to promote and support its music!

Canton Music Shoppe is one of my favorite places to spend time. I have been taking my granddaughter there for over a year for piano and voice lessons. This ultimately sparked her interest in music and as of late she also took up the ukulele. All of the teachers are outstanding and wonderful with children, as my granddaughter began lessons when she was five. This type of atmosphere can only take place when provided by the people who manage the day to day climate. Eric and Adam are those such employees. They will spend as much time with you to meet your needs, whatever those may be. They are both friendly and engaging and make you feel at home. The atmosphere is stellar!

Guitar work not up to standard......I will shop there, but they will not work on my guitars anymore, very friendly staff and knowledgeable, and can do basics, but anything beyond that is out of their ability, I had my guitar worked on twice and both times they failed in regards to proper setup and intonation of the bridge etc, I had my guitar tech in Florida spend several hours fixing what they didnt properly and found that a neck screw was broken, and the intonation had never been be addressed as well as the appropriate setup of a tremolo on a middle of the road guitar not 5k but not $500 either, so I like them but they are not suited to take on intricate bridge work and setups of electric guitars and bridges in regards to proper technique and application.Its cost me several hundred to get something done three times which should have taken only once to do. Again, it is a great place and kudos to them for their pleasantries and knowledge but just not cut out for the discriminate player and needs of particular equipment of guitars.

The entire experience there is subpar. First, it has absolutely no character. Everything is very sterile and impersonal. Maybe its a personal preference, but I prefer a bit of an offbeat feeling in music stores. Second, I understand you wouldnt carry instruments or other big ticket items for lefties, but picks (banjo - thumb) are dirt cheap and keeping a bag of them around shouldnt be an imposition. Your function is to sell that sort of thing. The goal is to always be able to say, yes I have that. Third, and most importantly, the people who run it are just awful at dealing with the public. As some have said, they do comment on customers behind their backs. I have had this same complaint from people I know personally. Im 50 and clean cut. The older guy literally followed me around the store when I visited (you can view 99.9% of the place from the counter), as if he was selling diamonds and I was going to shove them in my pockets. All in all, there are better places and better folks to deal with than these.

I had an amazing time at this store and found so many options available for beginning musicians and seasoned alike. I saw a bad review from someone who got cut off by a truck, yet had never been into the store. That is completely unfair. Pick up a phone and call the owners and let them know. Thats all it takes. Anyway, I found the staff knowledgeable and excited about their work. Its refreshing to find such a passionate staff. I cant wait for my first lesson. What a great addition to Canton.

Customer service said it all as I walked out and heard the guy comment to another store employee that people who can’t play will blame the guitar. If my playing was the problem, he could have been the solution in helping me figure that out instead of being snide, patronizing and rude, or at least he could have waited until I was gone. Needless to say, this long time customer will go elsewhere in the future. UPDATE: I went to Guitar Center in Kennesaw where my son and I were listened to and treated respectfully. We were thoroughly assisted with patience and great advice; bought a new guitar and perfect traveling case. Will definitely continue to shop there even though it’s a bit of a drive.

The Canton Music Shoppe is a great place to shop. The sales person was very helpful and very knowledgeable. Great sales people. I would recommend this place to anyone to shop at.

Had a bad experience shopping and selling here. I felt as if I was in trouble or under pressure the entire time. Both times visiting I regretting going. I prefer the smaller guitar store down the street...

Owner (I assume (wears glasses)) is arrogant and unfriendly. When purchasing strings, I asked what guage and web he recommended for my purposes. He looked at me and answered as if I was an idiot for asking in the first place. Strings were $5 more than I can get them online, so next time I will wait on them to come in the mail instead of supporting a local business. $17 for elixirs. Unfortunate.

Terrible. I got my guitar fixed there and they did a decent job with it. But customer service is awful, you cant touch anything, and you have to be quiet, and theres not much to look at anyway.

I went in to see if the had a Saxaphone for my son. A first year band student.Very first impression was immediate attention from the staff. The owner, maybe manager, Im embarrassed that I dont know, anyways, he gave us a good deal in a nice Saxaphone. Through in some Reeds and a cleaning kit. Oh lets not forget the case!I was looking over his guitars, I consider myself a ok guitarists , I love looking at guitars and playing ones way out of my talent, and price range.I joked about one day buying a Gibson Les Paul like the one on his wall. He actually had 2. I left there with one!! And a Nice Hard Case, Guitar Strap, patch cords, pics, A Peavey Classic 30 Tube Amp ... and spent less then I thought the Saxaphone would cost!!3 days later I work up the nerve to take my new Guitar for a spin... I couldnt get it into tune, intonation seemed off.. I became a nutcase quick.I walked into the shop, Les Paul in hand and he knew something was wrong. His tech. took it to the back and before too long was bringing it back. Just the slightest of adjustments to the truss fixed it right on up. I was so happy I left with a 150.00 effects processor/pedal.Ive been back one time since and hes just as friendly and personable as the last times we met. I went in looking for a used Fender..fell in love with a Gretch.Getting ready to visit his shop now for some strings. They make it hard not to buy that Gretch just to support them and keep them going here in Canton! I will never buy from another guitar superstore again! Its hard to imagine anyone else getting my buisness!
