My daughter went from being scared of the water to loving it and wanting to be on her school’s swim team! The staff at Goldfish were wonderful with her and we are grateful for everything they taught her. She is only leaving because she is moving on to a competitive development program.(Score 10 out of 10)

Its a swim lesson facility, staff is pleasant and helpful and whoever designed the facility obviously graduated from Michigans Industrial Operations Engineering School because the building is laid out perfectly for managing the flow of people throughout the swimming process.

My children have been taking lessons here and I cant speak highly enough about it. They are thriving and learning more and more with each lesson. Everything is very clean from the lobby to the bathroom & changing rooms and especially the pool. The staff is always kind and super helpful. Id give 10 out of 5 stars if I could!

My son is still working on his confidence in the water, but the instructors have all been amazing with him. I gush about them, and how they interact with my 5 year old every week. We are very happy with our decision to use Goldfish Swim School. I would (and have) recommend to anyone with a young (future) swimmer!

Awesome swim lessons, just don’t try to cancel. They’ll give you hell / totally different demeanor. Loved the school until I experienced this, and we were only cancelling for the summer months because we have a pool. I’ll be taking my daughter somewhere else in the fall.

The staff is so incredibly friendly and helpful. They go the extra mile to make sure that my child is safe and happy. They also care about me and how Im trying to be a parent, for example last week... I was just completely absent minded and showed up 30mins after my designated class, for whatever reason I saved the time wrong in my calendar...staff went to the front desk to see if anyone was available and not even a minute goes by a young man jumped in the pool positive attitude, and had no problem filling in for my error, it was loud but I want to say his name was Brian. Charlie was having a really good day, I wanted to capture pictures but stay out of sight to not upset him, staff came and offered to take my phone and take a few pictures for me... Im telling you that meant the world to me. I did not want my child to miss class because of my mistake and I want him to enjoy class and I appreciate capturing memories for me. Beside that the dressing rooms are always clean and the sign flipping for clean and dirty is easy to use. In between class someone comes and sprays the chairs. You guys are doing great.

It was our first time with our daughter. She had a blast swimming, but felt that they are not very welcoming to newcomers very confusing and overwhelming on what we had to do. We will be back because she had a blast.

We had had a great experience with swim class until making the decision to cancel. I e-mailed and was told I would have to go in to fill out a form. The next week, I picked up the form and took it home. My fiancée took our daughter the next week and was told they weren’t supposed to be there (halfway through class in front of an upset 2 year old). They had no record of us cancelling (because we hadn’t yet), but they took her off the list. He was told we could either choose a different day or be done.

Great teachers and atmosphere! Everything is kept extra clean / safe during these crazy times and Im so grateful that were able to have this activity to do together this year. My 2-year-old son loves coming here!

The classes are well structured and Leia’s teachers have been wonderful.

Can only have one parent there due to corona virus. But at the same time they have four kids per one lane. If you look at there photo on google they show 2 children per lane. But during covid 19 they have 4. Its not the precautions towards the parents Im worried about. Its the non precaution for my child. Maybe they are following the rules for how many people occupy their pool but also cut they pool in half for infants. And cramming the rest of their students next to each other. The lanes are 3 ft wide with 4 children sitting right next to each other. Other then that the instructors are great with the kids.

Thank you for opening up with proper precautions and safety in place so we can enjoy a sense of normalcy this summer. Very impressed overall with this facility, all instructors are kind and engaging, and my daughter (3) is having a blast! Wish we had started sooner!

Ms. Sammie is absolutely wonderful with the children in my son’s class. She makes all of the children feel welcome and very special and encourages them. She also explains things so us parents know what to do. I switched my son’s class to her time just so we could be around her happy spirit! Thank you!

My kids started Goldfish roughly 6 weeks ago, my younger one is in Glider 1, his teacher is Mr. Donovan and we absolutely love him. He is so good to my son, very patient, very encouraging. My son had an accident in the pool (spit up) and Donovan was so understanding and kind, esp to me because I was feeling so guilty. My elder one is in Junior 1 and has a new teacher Mr. Dominique, and he is very nice too. We loved Madison, and Mr. Dominique is really nice too. My elder one is hesitant to get in water at first and his teacher is always so patient and encourages him constantly and eventually gets him going in the water. We love the staff at Goldfish. Every one is very helpful and super nice!

Great school for kids to learn.

I have been bringing my daughter here for about two months. We have mostly enjoyed the experience. Every member of the staff we have interacted with has been fantastic, and we have LOVED her instructor (Miss Emily). The baby/toddler class is a lot of fun, and there is a good variety of activities to change things up.I have canceled for now simply because at 84.00 per month for 4-5 30 minute lessons, I think it is a lot. We will likely come back this fall or winter for more lessons, but it is definitely pricey to keep the lessons going year-round.One suggestion I have for management is that the dressing room situation is very difficult for someone to manage with a baby/toddler who is not yet walking, and it would be great if adjustments could be made. There is a Bumbo in the main area, but babies only fit into those for a short time during the first year. It is a bit too cumbersome (and possibly unsafe) to bring a stroller into the facility and on the pool deck. I have to sit my daughter on the bench and attempt to get her to stay there while I quickly change, as I dont want her crawling around on the wet floor. It would be great if at least some of the changing rooms could have some sort of booster seat. I have noticed that a lot of baby/toddler parents bring another adult along to help make the process easier, but that wasnt usually possible for me. Dealing with the changing room situation after the lesson was always the part I dreaded most.

My son has learned so much since he started 6 months ago. I bet he can swim better than me now! I was so nervous when he started, but the staff were very supportive and positive as they gave me a tour on his first day. Staff are so very helpful and go out of their way to help with any questions or concerns. The instructors are all great, my son has loved having each of them. So patient and motivated, and great with the kids. I see high fives all the time! Very impressed with how clean and well kept/ designed the facility is. Emails and phone messages are returned promptly. My son is excited and wants to join the swim force once hes completed the program!

My daughter loves going to swim class every week. Ive watched her confidence in the water grow the past three years. I would recommend continuous swim lessons at Goldfish to anyone who wants their children comfortable in and near the water.

This place is amazing. Its a nice facility with a great pool and program. But the reason we come here is the instructors. Every last instructor is absolutely incredible. They are energetic, compassionate and thoughtful. As our children progressed we would be disappointed to see them leaving their I instructo only to find the next one equally wonderful.I cant say enough how much we love the coaches. In particular, Andrew, Donovan, and Sammy have transformed our children into confident swimmers.

Instructors and staff are great! They are Friendly and professional. Facility is good as well. Least customer friendly policies though, you need give one month notice to cancel classes. Good luck with re-scheduling lessons (private), you end up with group lessons. 3 star for that reason.

Our swim instructor Emily is both professional and personable! Very enthusiastic with the kids. Also, the facility in Canton is very warm and comfortable. It features everything we need. Finally, Renee the manager we interact with has been very helpful and insightful. Coming to Goldfish is one of the highlights of our week with our 15 month old twins!

Small class sizes are key for our child to feel comfortable enough to get in the pool with out parents. Also the viewing platform where he can see us and wave helps him feel comfortable. We are so happy much he looks forward to swim class.(Score 10 out of 10)

We love goldfish! We’ve been taking lessons for over 2 years and my daughter loves it. She was 4 when we started. Now at 6 she is almost completed with the program. Just one level left to go before swim team. Pretty awesome to say at 6 years old. Teachers are amazing. Really take time to get to know the kids and work with them. We love all the staff. Even everyone at the front desk!

My son has been attending swim classes since August. While he is still not swimming independently (not at all due to the teaching), he has gained so many more skills. My son has a speech delay and struggles with communicating his needs and emotions. From day one, Abigail worked with him naturally and did not allow his delay to impede his learning. She has looked past his apprehension and continued to push him to do his best. He has went from refusing to get into the pool to walking into his session independently. He is so proud to show that he is getting in the water and trying at each session. We are very pleased with our sons progress, how is anxiety symptoms have decreased, and how he is becoming more independent.

My goal for the summer was for my 12 year old daughter to learn how to swim. I signed her up for two Jumpstart classes. To my amazement and satisfaction, within a couple of days, she was able to swim freestyle across the water and by the end of the second week she was working on perfecting her breaststroke kicks. I credit the instructors ability to provide constructive and timely feedback during each lesson. I highly recommend the Goldfish Swimming School.

My kids look forward to their weekly lessons. They love their teacher Mr. Donovan and I try my best to register the kids with him if it’s possible. Everything about the facility is welcoming, starting from the front desk to the pool. I strongly recommend it to everyone I know.

Mr. Andrew has been Andrew’s teacher since January of 2019 and Andrew has come so far. Being an extremely energetic little boy has kept Mr. Andrew and Mr. Donavan on their toes as Andrew advanced to Mini 3. They have handled it like the pros they are! We tell everyone to go to Goldfish, thanks so much for all you do.

My daughter started when she was 4 months old and immediately took to the technic that the school uses to get kids comfortable with water. She is doing amazing now. My ow 2 yr old who was terrified of water repeatedly as to dunked under water and to frequent the school often. This brings so much joy as a mother.

Not the most consumer friendly policies. You need a month notice to cancel your membership. I wanted to cancel in July but had to wait until August until they stopped charging me. Also, you cant use make up classes after you cancel your membership. In my opinion, using my make up classes should not be dependent on whether or not I am buying more classes. Beautiful facility and great staff though, so overall 3 stars.

Love the experience, but 6 babies (and their parent) is way too many for the baby class. Anything over 4 makes it way too chaotic to be enjoyable.

The swim teachers are great and always so calm with the kids! The ladies at the front are always happy and helpful, I’ve never seen any one in a bad mood there it’s incredible! We will be back in the fall!

We totally love Goldfish swimschool. As parents we always want the best for our children right? Well Goldfish swimming school is the answer. If you want your child to enjoy learning how to swim and excel each lesson your child is taking. Why waste your money somewhere else, where the focus is not on the child at all times? Where you don’t see any progress each lesson taken or get a goal oriented progress report? Goldfish gives that extra attention to each child when needed. We don’t have to worry anymore when our daughter wants to swim with her friends. Because Goldfish not only gave our child the confidence to safely swim, but Goldfish also gave us as parents the trust that their child has amazing swimming skills developed to be independent. Now that is the greatest feeling as a parent you can have, so thank you very much Goldfish for an amazing swim experience for my child and me!!! JB„

The classes are great, but just be aware. The supposed make up for missed classes are basically useless! My almost 2 year old is in the mini class, and he has had to miss a few weeks due to being sick. I planned to stop using the lessons over the summer, and just use his makeups here and there, since summer is a time for travelling and having a weekly class is tough anyway. Nope! As soon as you withdraw, you lose the makeups. So unless you have time to bring your child in twice a week when they arent sick or out of town (and thats assuming you can find an open class to schedule a make up in), you are basically out of luck.

I love the small classes and the instructors are great with the kids. Their schedules are flexible and they are very accommodating.

Im glade to be back and glade they had safety precautions in place.

Our daughter has made great improvements in a short amount of time. The small class sizes ensure your child gets a lot of attention not just sitting around waiting for their turn.

The teachers have great patience with the kids even when they are a little rowdy. They teach them safety and the importance of learning to swim while still being silly and making it fun
