I was looking to make a career change and I had a passion for the game of golf. I decided to go to the Golf Academy San Diego campus to get the training I needed. I got to play golf twice a week and start a new career at the same time. Not only did I receive the tools I needed for success, but they have the keys to open the doors to amazing opportunities in the golf industry. I now have a career I love, I’m excited about work, and I have the Golf Academy to thank.

It was a great experience to attend the Golf Academy of America. The instructors are very experience and knowledgable about each subject. You will learn things that will benefit you once you graduaste. They obviously know a lot about golf and the golf swing and you will definitely improve your game if you work with them through each semester. I look back now and it was definitely the right decision to go there and learn about golf and make some good friends.

I was a student at GAA Sd, it was a experience I won’t ask back. They taught you the skills to manage your own golf course, to being a teaching pro. The teachers at GAA had years of experience and wanted to teach you the steps to be successful! I’d recommend this school for you, if your trying to do anything in the golf industry it will put you on the right path to hitting your goals.

If you want to jumpstart your career in the Golf industry GAA is the place to do it. Their focus on the business and technology as well as the game of Golf, equips you with all the tools you need to succeed in the industry. I went from knowing nothing about the golf industry to having the knowledge and skills to rival that of anyone who has been working in it for years. Thanks GAA.

I am a December 2014 graduate of the Golf Academy of America Dallas Campus, and I am one of the many graduates that have had their lives changed by my experiences and education there. I started out as a guy who loved golf, and needed a career change. I was in an industry that I no longer had interest to be in and wanted to get married and start a new family. My life was about to change fast and I had a choice of staying in my current industry and being unhappy for the remainder of my career, or trying something new and seek for a career I would love. A great friend of mine recommended the Golf Academy of America to me and I will admit I was skeptical at first. It had been a long time since I had went to school, and I wondered how something as fun as golf could actually be a serious and successful career path for me. After some discussion with my fiancé, I decided to go for it, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. After enrollment I immediately saw how promising this place was. Not only did they have all of the latest technology in the golf world for me to learn how to use and train on, they had experienced golf professionals and business men and women that would teach me everything from how to give golf lessons and club fitting, to accounting, business law and business management. I strived in this environment and gained the knowledge to be highly successful in many aspects of the golf industry and business world while earning my degree in Golf Complex Operations and Management. Now Im almost two years in at my job at the world wide leader in private club ownership ClubCorp. I am in an industry I enjoy with a great company, and I make a salary that can support my future family. I work where I can grow and excel thanks to all of the knowledge and training I received at the Golf Academy of America. I am forever grateful to the Academy and all of the leaders there that paved the way for my new life. If anyone needs a turn around in life, and wants a new career, to gain a better education as well as an improvement on their golf game, look no further than the Golf Academy of America. I and many of the graduates from just my campus alone are very thankful for our decisions to do so and are currently living our dreams.

I dont need the degree but the school helped build my knowledge base and if you think its useless your ignorant. No one knows everything. PGA professionals need to quit being rude and downplaying their own who are the teachers that instruct at these facilities.

The best way to describe this place, would be to call it golf camp, where everyone passes. This college is not the key to opening up the door into the golf industry and to call it a college would be an insult to actual colleges. From my class alone, nearly six years ago, I can count on one hand of all the people I know that are still in the industry. The pay is mediocre and putting this facility on a resume is a joke to employers. You would be better off getting a golf coach, passing your PAT, and stating you are attending a local college student in pursuant of a business degree. That alone will open up the doors to a career in golf and you can save tens of thousands of dollars in the process that would have been wasted at the G.A.A. Your hard earned money is better spent at a real college where your education can take you somewhere. While this facility may say they are accredited, check around with your local colleges and see if they validate any transcripts from this place. The likely answer is NO.I just received this letter from my local college when trying to transfer credits from GAA: The Admissions & Records Office recently reviewed your transcript from Golf Academy of America. However, this institution is not regionally accredited. As a result, we are unable to accept any credits in transfer. You are better off enrolling at a PGM school if you want to pursue a degree in the golf industry, where your degree comes from an accredited institution. This one is nothing more than a piece of paper that holds no more weight than the material it is printed on. Get a real degree, from a real college that can open doors for you; not one from a institution that is built upon a great marketing plan. The dream of becoming a head pro does not start with the Golf Academy of America. At the rate courses are closing and with the steady decline of the golf industry as a whole, pursuing a career in golf is a risky venture. With all the closures, there is a surplus of highly trained Class A Head Pros that bring far more to the table with years of experience who are just trying to find work at this point. Competition for the available golf jobs is very fierce and the entry level jobs dont pay much more than minimum wage.Bottom line is save your money and pass on the Golf Academy of America, and get an education somewhere else that is worth something. This isnt the place and the grandiose visions that they tell you are nothing more than pipe dreams.Everyone that I know who has gotten a job in golf did it without the aid of this facility and made it happen though persistence and hard work on their own accord. In closing, the GAA is a sham and wont further your career in the golf industry.
