Upon graduation, Ms. Lourdes Cruz works with every student to land them a job in their chosen careers. We offer Federal Financial Aid and Cares Act Grant. Cares Act Grant is only temporary while the Pandemic is continuing. It is the best time to enroll in now.

I attended the Veterinary Assistant at California Healing Arts College and upon my graduation in 2020 I landed a job at a Torrance Pet Hospital. I recommend anyone who is interested in the VET Assistant program. CHAC has the best and largest Vet Assistant program in the local Carson and south bay area.

I bringing my cat at Signal hill pet hospital and saw an female intern from CHAC today, very hard working and courteous, maybe a good school to get Vet assistant.

Just read a negative review by someone named JJ, who does not even use her real name giving misguided information causing those interested to get an education and improving their lives have a second thought. Please ignore this person since she seems to have ulterior motives and have wrong information. I attended the Veterinary Assistant program at California Healing Arts college last year and it was a wonderful program. They teach you every aspect of veterinary care. I was overwhelmed with the knowledge learned. She is talking about the X-Ray, In California you can not operate an X-ray machine unless you graduate from a two year program in VETERINARY TECHNICIAN, DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING, which is a branch of Veterinary Technician. Legally you can never touch an X-ray machine as a Veterinary Assistant that this program offers.She stated to start from the bottom and work yourself up the ladder; if you are hired, with the competition with the graduates of all the Vet assistant programs the chances of getting hired by a reputable Animal Hospital is very low. The investment that you make with this program is partially paid by a grant from the federal government and there are different scholarships available that you might qualify. There might be a small student loan that you will be paying a minimal payment six months after you graduate. One thing that JJ is right is that the school helps you to land a job. The school gave me a free Laptop with all my books and course works on it, that alone was worth close to $1000.00. The instructors are so knowledgeable with great patience that you have for 8 months teaching you the latest in veterinary medicine. I am currently working as a vet assistant and planning to become a Vet tech in the future by gaining more experience. You also meet lots of friends that are on the same journey in the program.

DO NOT take the VA program!And here is why...You dont need an education to be a veterinary assistant, you can literally apply at an animal hospital and they will be willing to train you! Or just start from the bottom like doing kennel/receptionist and work your way up. You will be assisting the staff either way. Someone else made this remark on yelp as well and I totally agree! Save your money! I attended this school a few years ago and it was nothing like it in the real world. This school lacks in a xray, anesthesia, dental machines that is needed to learn as a VA! Externships dont let you learn those things either because this school doesnt even have the resources, heck your not even provided a dosimeter badge to take x-rays when your sent off to externship, so how do they expect you to learn?! And still expect you to pay your full amount tuition. Lastly, jobs will ask if you are certified, which this school does NOT offer a AVMA exam to be considered certified. All you get is a diploma which is not good enough when your looking for a job. Diploma or not your pay will be the same for that reason, it doesnt mean you have a higher chance of getting hired either. I would recommend starting from the bottom or just go to school to be a Registed Vet Tech....2 stars because its NOT worth the tuition cost and lacks in teaching you actual skills however, staff at the time were dedicated in finding me a job.

At CHAC i did veterinary assistant program its a really good career the teachers are nice and the staff too thank you guys for your help i really appreciated it thank you for everything

I work at California Healing Arts College and the management has recently been changed. The new management is more caring and effective which has made numerous positive changes. Both the students and employees are happier.

I did the medical assistants my class and my instructor is the greatest. The staff are very encouraging and caring. I learned a lot in my class and glad I came here, and my instructor had shaped me into the best medical assistant I can be. I recommend this school if your thinking of doing the medical assisting program, it’s a great experience.

I did Medical Assistant and the MA instructor is the best teacher. She have taught me everything that I needed to know when I go out in the field to look for a job. All the staff is nice and friendly to me.

This is not a good school if you want to do surgical technology they have u pay 32,000 dollars and the program THERE is garbage all they want is the money they can careless about the students. The clinical sites suck I really recommend you DO NOT COME TO THIS SCHOOL..

Upon completion of in class schooling my externship is amazing. Lourdes Valencia has done an amazing job in finding students externship. I highly recommend this school for anyone looking to find a career. Especially in the veterinary field

It is wonderful place to go the staff is very friendly and helpful! The VA(veterinarian assistant) program is the best in class it is fun and can learn many things.

UNO!!! 35,000 DOLLARS! the site is garbage and they dont do what they are suppose to do. Think about this before you end up graduating from a school and get nothing afterwards. Not even your diploma! Let me tell you all im a 2017 Graduate of Surgical Technology program i promise you ACC is way better for the same out this ragedy school tryna charge ima sue this school for taking money and not giving me the necessities to learn and the 2 sites are horrible and they treat you bad so make sure u have a back bone teachers sign off on your papers be sleep in class dont care if you pass or not . dont even think about going here if you wanna be successful go to ACC i would start over n go right to ACC .

DO NOT do the veterinary assistant program. you don’t need a certificate to be a vet assistant, just go apply somewhere that’s willing to train you and save $18,000. not worth it.

A waste of money. If I could give a 0 I would. They’re instructor turnover rate is insane. instructor(s) would sleep in class and some times you would have NO instructor.Extremely overpriced.Not Good For Surgical Technology.

I went to this school in the early summer time but I had to stop because my mom was sick in a way they understood but they still drop me because of my mom sickness
