The school is very good and the staff is good and helpful

I go to school here and absolutely love it! Im being challenged by all my teachers! The staff is very helpful and friendly to everyone. I would recommend this school to anyone.

I love this school Ive been going here since 1st grade and I recommend it even though our assistant principal Mrs.sandy post and Our principal Mrs.Mary Bohr are no longer at penny road,Our new principal Mr Williams and our assistant principal Mrs. Williams are very nice also. Also Mrs.bohr is opening a new school in garner and Mrs.Post is working at a school in West Virginia. If mr Williams says who are we, We say WE ARE PANDA PRIDE!

I have been nothing but disappointed and frustrated with our experience with penny road. Its been a year of me constantly biting my tongue and trying to not lose my cool. The problems have been across the board, just to name a few of my favorites....his teacher accusing me of just dropping my son off in an empty parking lot and leaving insteaded of going in to sign him in and making sure he got a late note (he was dropped off in carpool, on time and walked in with other students, and went to the bathroom and that re sulted in him going into class late) Ive often wondered why his teacher would even think it would be possible for me to do what she accused me of being that the doors are locked shortly after school starts, she claimed he was 25mins late..my son wouldnt have been able to get in without someone letting him in, he cant reach the doorbell. (Common sense at its finest though I guess)...i cant tell you how many times I received snarky messages dripping with attitude from his teacher, I finally actually had to ask her to lose the attitude that she seemed to always have when addressing an issue. This i feel ultimately resulted in my son being treated somewhat differently unfortunately. It seemed my son could not win for losing with this teacher and he would often come home upset and frustrated and feeling like why try.....car pool has been another added treat, I lost count of the times where no one knew where my son was, yes Im serious....oh and my favorite is the crazy concept that traffic is a very real thing and that it affects almost everyone in the world (I would receive calls as soon as 4:03 sometimes asking why he hasnt been picked up and when I would be there to get him, usually I was literally trying to pull in....ive seen parents get out of their cars and literally help there kids put there back packs on and take forever to say goodbye like there kid was leaving for college and its fine but God forbid I call out to my son from my window to make sure he got so and so because this will result in the morning carpool ladies screaming at my son and jerking their arms for him to come on, clearly seeing that I was trying to ask him something. I honestly wish I could find something good to say about this school but I cant...the leadership changed multiple times throughout the year and so who do you go to, Im not one to typically do this but Im beyond fed up!!! I can only hope next year is better.

Been here since August had various issues with the curriculum and teachers. Terrible teaching skills and terrible for students with attention issues. My son should of been getting extra help all year but he got hosed because she missed x amount of days due to pregnancy. There was supposed to be a group decision on how the end of year goes but no one contacted me. Come to find out hes being withheld back in 1st grade, I cant speak for other grade level teachers but the 1st graders here in this county are set up for FAILURE! Leadership starts with the teacher and teacher assistants which are a joke all together. Highly recommended your kid going somewhere else for 1st grade, this school despite all there awards have no problem with leaving kids behind after setting them up for FAILURE ALL YEAR!!-School Administrators better work harder since they decided to take a day off for a salary increase that quite frankly they dont deserve, we will be in touch for further contact
