Our family has been training at Vision Martial Arts for over 4 years. What sets this school apart from others is they dont just teach martial arts. They also focus on life skills such as honesty, respect, and communication to name a few. This has had an amazing impact on our children. They are more respectful, self-disciplined, and confident than when they started their training years ago. All the instructors are top notch and can teach at every level. Our sons have been attending Cary #2 Vision Martial Arts for close to 5 years. As a mom, having not one, but 2 kids that want to continue in a sport or any activity is hard to come by. Tried out some new class options with Vision Martial Arts! Krav and the new RAID program which is tactical gun training with air soft weapons. Looks to be great training to become familiar and comfortable with firearms. I enjoyed the training intro to both options.

The entire Vision Martial Arts team is great and I would recommend them without any hesitation. Master and Mrs. Beddow run a tight ship and get to know each student and their family members by name. They have taught my son more than just martial arts and for that I am truly grateful.

We absolutely love Vision Martial Arts of Cary 2. While all training centers may teach the basics or martial arts, Master Beddow knows the perfect formula for inculcating an environment of learning and fun combined with discipline and focus. It is amazing how he caters to a class with both young kids and older adults - based on their individual needs. Mrs. Beddow does a great job managing and organizing the testing, classes, schedules, and is very accommodating. We love the personal hand written notes they mail to let us know when our child did a good job. I have seen my daughter grow from a shy young girl to a very confident person over the last 3 years and cannot wait for my son to be old enough to start classes.

Great school, great instructors! My son’s been going there for 3 years, sometimes 3 times a week and he still loves it. He is stronger, more confident and happier. I couldn’t ask for more than that!

This Taekwondo facility is top notch from physical facility to the staff. They pay attention to the kids but also give them space to develop in their own. Communication with their students and parents are their biggest strength since the requirements can be challenging for some kids but they will work with the kids.

I have been doing taekwondo here for almost ten years and have thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. The Beddows are some of the nicest people I have met and have created an extremely positive learning environment for kids and adults of all ages. We’ve been with VMA for about 9 years now. They are very professional and Master Beddow is great with the kids. When the schools shut down due to the pandemic, they were on top of things and we went straight to virtual. It was a flawless transition (at least on our side).

My son has been going to VMA Cary 2 for 3 years. It has been a great experience for the whole family. He just made his goal of becoming a black belt in October 2020. There have been so many good character building qualities that my son has gained through his experience with VMA. It is also great physical activity and training. We plan to continue our sons training here for a long time to come. They also did a great job of transitioning their training over to zoom when the pandemic hit to keep all of the students on track. We enrolled our son into taekwondo because of his lack of confidence and classroom behaviors. Master and Mrs. Beddow (and Mr. Haase) has worked with our son and we can see a HUGE difference in him. He is more confident, his able to focus, well manner, and better in the classroom. We were in a different center when we started, but by far this location is awesome. They are consistent and follow through with their teachings. We are also good about communicating with the parents when things change. We love it!!!!

Our son has a rare genetic disorder that impacts his cognitive and physical abilities. We started him at Vision almost three years ago, and I was worried it would be difficult for him to grasp. That’s when Master and Mrs. Beddow took over. Though they understood my son’s challenges, they didn’t let that be an excuse for him not to succeed and grow. Master Beddow does a phenomenal job pushing young students while ensuring they have support and self confidence to keep progressing. The discipline and structure are also excellent for my son and he loves it. But most important thing, my son has fun learning Taekwondo. I highly recommend the Cary 2 school at Vision Martial Arts.

Vision Martial Arts has been a great outlet for our son to learn self defense, life skills, and stay in shape all while having fun. He especially enjoys the leadership and weapons classes. Weapons is self explanatory, but the leadership class is where he is learning valuable life lessons. They still perform Tae Kwon Do, but they have a mini study session during the class where they learn about how to be confident, how to treat others, how to stay motivated and other soft skills that he directly applies to situations outside of class to build better relationships and grow as a person.Having participated in several seminars, all of the instructors we have interacted with outside of Cary academy have been great, but our son enjoys the instruction of Master Beddow the most. I would recommend Vision Martial Arts, and specifically this academy with Master Beddow, to anyone who wanted to learn self defense, learn valuable life skills, or just wanted to learn some cool kicks.

Our son has been attending Vision Martial Arts for about 6 months now and we love it. There are many martial arts studios, but this particular one is doing everything right. Master Beddow is a very charismatic and respected leader, and teaches the children good values along with self defense. Mrs. Beddow keeps everything organized so you are always in the know. You can usually get a few lessons for free to see if your child likes it. We had our sons last birthday party there and it could not have been better. He was most excited about wearing the honorary black belt and cutting the cake in half with a sword! Our family LOVES Vision Martial Arts. We found VMA back in March just when the 2020 Pandemic hit and everyone was at home. My son took zoom lessons from Chief Master Wegman and Master Beddow and excelled through the beginning ranks. Even though it was zoom classes, all the instructors gave personal attention to all students and helped developed their training. We are finally doing a combination of zoom and live classes and it is a pleasure to see the excitement of my son when he achieves his next goal all while learning discipline and how to be a leader. We see how his skills are carrying over into his school work and wanting to do his best work. Martial Arts is not just about learning to fight, it is about learning life skills and the instructors at VMA are making a difference!

Master Bedow and Mrs.Bedow do an excellent job of working with our grandchildren. They first went there to learn a sport and get exercise. The discipline that they instilled in both boys is evident in all of their actions. They have worked hard with both boys to not only make them proficient in tai kwon Do but also help in their growth as teen agers polite young men. Weve been part of the Vision family for the last two years. My son tried many sports and never seemed to enjoy it for himself. He didn’t have fun and it was like pulling teeth to get him to practices/games.Enter TKD at Vision Martial Arts. Master and Mrs. Beddow create a welcoming environment that also teaches discipline and respect (and many other pillars of TKD). My son took to TKD immediately and brightens up when showing off his new forms or weapon sequences. The instructors at this site are amazing, patient, and very knowledgeable. The facility is always pristine and there is never an issue with communication. Even with the ongoing pandemic and the mandates, Vision Martial Arts found ways to engage with the students.I highly recommend TKD in general, but this particular location is top notch. 5 stars all around.

Signing our children up with Vision Marial Arts in Cary has been one of the best decisions!! The staff is exceptional and vested in helping every student! All of my children started in their Tigers program (ages 3-5) and I absolutely loved the fact that the kids started learning taekwondo and self-defense moves right away; along with being taught about positive mental attitudes and positive self-image. The training my kids have received over the years has improved their athleticism in regard to taekwondo and in other sports. The concepts of personal responsibility, self-esteem, trying your best, perseverance, discipline, and honesty are part of every student’s training; and the students are encouraged and recognized when they use them at home, school, etc. Learning the different forms helped my kids develop an appreciation for the learning process (aka you don’t always do it correct the first time; it takes time and effort to learn something). Master Beddow and his staff are truly skilled at working with all different types of children; helping them work through tough moments and celebrate each student’s victories. Additionally, as a mom, I was impressed that the instructors knew my kids’ names from day one (even made sure they could tell my twins apart). We had the twin’s birthday at the academy and Master Beddow knew the name of every child within the first 5 minutes of the party! It is clear that Master Beddow and his staff at VMA Cary (Ten Ten) view this as more than a job; it is their passion.

I have always been impressed by the Beddows, but seeing their covid response and diligence to keep the kids engaged to continue their TaeKwonDo journey has been nothing short of stunning. From pivoting quickly to a well-functioning zoom process of instruction, to belt testing through plastic shields outside, to keeping the studio following all protocols and then some, we could all learn something from this studio. Master Beddow remains one of the best instructors I’ve ever witnessed in any discipline, subject, or level of education. And Mrs. Beddow keeps everything running safely, organized and with clear communication. As my daughter heads to her first black belt testing this month, it’s been a long journey, but the Beddows have supported her through it all with compassion, guidance, praise, a kind word when needed, but also an encouraging push when needed. When we see other studios in passing, we always comment how blessed we feel to have the best studio so close to home. We love the Beddows and always will. They’ve earned our forever trust and devotion.

They seem to learn and remember your names almost instantly, and they take the time to get to know you better. Master Beddow is an excellent teacher of Taekwondo, both the movements and the character traits. It has been amazing to watch my daughter grow on her journey from white belt to black belt. Mrs. Beddow keeps the school running very well, is organized, and has always been so helpful when Ive had questions. The Beddows are also involved in giving back to the community with charitable events.

They always look out for their students and offer constructive criticism. My son looks up to them as his idols. As soon as the state govt issued the locked down they switfly transitioned all the classes to zoom and went above and beyond to make sure the students progress did not stall. I cannot say enough positive things about VMA! When the schools shut down due to Covid 19 I saw a posting for free virtual martial arts and thought it would be a nice way to pass the two week shut down. Fast forward THREE months and my son was still taking free classes provided by Chief Master Wegmann. No one knew what the pandemic would become and VMA easily could have run two weeks of free classes and been done but instead they continued and added in life skills. They also provided additional classes by different instructors for a fee. My son was able to take classes 4 times a week and earn a belt all from home.Fred Rogers said to look for the helpers during scary times. VMA and its instructors have been wonderful helpers and excellent teachers. They have become part of our daily routine and we look forward to seeing them.

I cannot express how satisfied I am with Vision Martial Arts and the Ten-Ten location through stars. Not only is my son learning physical skills and self-defense tactics, but he is also learning about discipline, self-control, communication, attitude, and focus in a positive, structured environment that is both challenging and fun. Master and Mrs. Beddow run the school efficiently and are role models for what the martial art training embodies, as are all the instructors there. My son loves it and is eager to attend class, and as a parent, that speaks volumes.

My oldest son started here two years ago and has moved up through the Tiny Tigers program. We have been incredibly pleased with the instruction my sons have received- it is so much more than the physical activity aspect. With lots of locations in central North Carolina and great teachers these schools work not only on kicks and punches but also on discipline, focus, respect, and leadership. My son attends the Cary School where Mr Beddow and Ms Austin work great with the children and are excellent instructors and role models. As a former child of martial arts myself Im very pleased with the range of life and karate skills they teach and live themselves.

Vision Martial Arts-Master Michael Wegmann is an amazing karate for kids instructor that utilizes the best teaching system. Both him and his team of Vision Martial Arts Instructors strive to teach karate for kids the success and life skills needed in life.

The young male instructor named Bryce made my child’s experience a nightmare. I do not understand how he can be left in charge of so many children when he’s so nasty and disrespectful. Will never come back to this place because of him. Someone needs to teach this boy how to respect others because he is absolutely horrible.

Our daughter has attended Taekwondo classes at Vision Martial Arts for a year now. She absolutely loves the classes and has learned so much. Master Beddow, Mrs. Beddow and their team are incredible. They care about your child both in the class and out of it. Each cycle of classes centers around a key character area. As an example, this cycles topic is Respect. Master Beddow and the team talk with the class about what it means to demonstrate respect. As a parent I can talk about respect till Im blue in the face, but having another adult, or black belt instructor, teach them about respect can truly make a difference. Listening while the class is occurring provides me with the ability to reinforce what the instructors have shared so were all teaching and saying the same things.I wholeheartedly recommend Vision Martial Arts of Cary!
